Try adjusting your family’s seats up so you get less flex in the knees. This will reduce knee pain and the potential for injury. A good rule of thumb is to have the seat hight set so that you can rest your heel on the pedal when you are sitting on the seat in a stationary position and the pedal is as far down (as close to the ground) as it can go. Great review. My wife and I both just got Aventon bikes. We love them. As you said, you still get a nice work out but as you get older the hills can push on us a bit and these bikes are super great to allow a longer day of biking.

Tesla is missing a huge opportunity by not having an ebike that uses Tesla Supercharger and destination chargers. Free destination chargers are everywhere, especially in state and national parks. 1 to 5 minutes is all you would need on a Tesla charge port. 🔋
No way the small battery is able to take super charging, that's why it takes few hours to charge.
@@Trust_but_Verify It's just a matter of the charge controller accepting a smaller amount of amperage and handshaking with the charger.

nice review. I considered going this route but I ended up converting a nice cannondale mountain bike with a 1000W bafang mid drive motor and couldn’t be happier. The features are the same with a throttle and torque sensor and 5 different power levels. it also has break and shift sensors. it’s better looking in my opinion, more powerful when I need it, more capable with the front ‘lefty’ shock and gives me a great sense of accomplishment. i also don’t need an adapter to put it on a bike rack and has quick release wheels and battery.
So, I just bought an Aventon myself, but I went with the Soltara version in black. Just showed up today, really looking forward to riding it this weekend!!!

I have test ridden the Aventon ebikes. They are nice bike. I would like to see a bigger battery at that price point. I would personally recommend a platform bike rack over a hanging rack for ebikes.

Cool bike. Btw I ride bike a lot and it might be that your seat is too low. Rule of thumb is that you should only just be able to stand safely on the toes of both feet but not more when you are still on the seat. The less bending in the knee the better 👍
That was the first thing I was thinking when I saw her test ride.
I was leaning towards this or the heavy duty Wallke bikes. Both seem of good quality and fun-ness if that is a word. Berri No-ICE.
If you want a do a it all, especially with great customer service if you ever need it, highly recommend the aventon.

I was looking at buying one. Deciding between the original aventure thats marked down to 1399 memorial day weekend or the aventure 2.0 at 1999. Is there that much difference in the sensors to justify the price difference.
So, you pay FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS PLUS for a bicycle hitch that supports 120 pounds? 🤣 Does NOT seem like much of a bargain. 😕

Thanks for the info on how it works and the estimated range. I'm looking for an adult hauler trailer like the one you used for the baby because my girlfriend is blind and would like to join me. Thing is I can't find one for adults. If anyone knows where to find one please reply.
And thanks again for the info. It changed my mind about the battery size because the range wouldn't be enough considering it would have to help pull 300lbs with the two of us.

An interesting review .... I enjoyed your enthusiasm for the Aventure 2 and your Tesla. I just got my Aventure .2, which is my 2nd Aventon bike ( original Level was #1). I laughed at your comment about it only taking you 15 or 20 minutes to assemble your bike. Doubtful, in my opinion. Oh, and the comment about taking the front tire off in 30 seconds ... that's a head shaker. As others have noted, Your bike rack setup is sketchy at best! I do not want a rack that I have to take parts off of for my bike to be able to use the rack. The way the Aventure hangs in the rack makes me uncomfortable. Also, as others have noted ... Please change your seat height for a more comfortable ride experience. Thank you for sharing your experience

I haven't ridden a bike in years. I kinda like ebikes. I don't really have any reason for one now. Maybe someday.
Very nice bike. I love my Aventure 2. But that bike rack setup is super sketchy. That heavy bike is basically hanging on by the seat clamp. A few hard bumps and you might have a disaster on your hands. With an ebike I would recommend a platform style rack like the Hollywood Rack
Yeah we tried off loading some of the weight to reduce the load but found those platforms racks so pricey so holding off for now. Haven’t looked at Hollywood.

I wonder if you were inspired by MissGoElectric's review of the Aventon bikes…? www.youtube.com/@MissGoElectric/search?query=aventon I think you'd like our bike rack better than your Tesla model, since you simply carry the bikes by securing their wheels in "cradles." My converted e-bike now seems decrepit in comparison to all the whiz-bang features on your Aventon, but… that's okay: it still works! Now you need a bike trailer for Laikyn -like I pull with our Pom, Moxie. She loves it!

Traditional bicycle packaging is extremely wasteful and heavy on the worst materials.
