@@captainbarn I don't agree, not arguing, we all dig different things but these guys give this ol' classic a heap of respect and class along with it. Great players, make it sound fantastic in an acoustic setting. Live and electric these guys knock it out the park!!
Gents. Gotta tell ya. Y'all inspire. Full stop. What a great groove. Congrats on puttin in your 10K hours. We are the beneficiaries. Thanks for sharing the groove with us. 🙏
Nice work fellas. I thought what about the drums, flute and piano? But you guys did a fantastic rendition of a beautiful song. Reminds me of someone else but I cant quite place it. Jose Feliciano meets Richie Havens????
That solo is so well and smoothly crafted , selection of notes so out of the pentatonic, really skillful. Does somebody out there have and idea what the hell that is what he’s doing with that solo: what scale is that? Why does it work, I wanna get this stuff in my own improvisations, but I need to know what it is else I can’t practicise it.
Yo bro , the scale is just major pentatonic scale but his way of phrasing it comes from a jazz blues feel ,bb kingish lines that go down back to the ionian mode ,the key for this solo is in D major He plays around that mostly ,the phrasing here is the real deal its very allman brothers band soloing style but all in all ,he just uses D major country blues jazz style runs
Caspar de Groen very masterfully of course and like mayer said ,learn the thing that makes what you learned ,so get it by ear BIT BY BIT dont overwhelm yourself ,take one cool bit practice it with a backing track in d and then start making it your own ,hope i helped ❤️
He's playing that acoustic so skillfully, and that voice, man. He's so talented, I really like him on this song (didn't even know the original).
it's not bad but the original blows this away ...... great for a millennial bunch of kids though

@@captainbarn the Marcus King studio version blows the original away
Disagree! Marcus does a great job but for me it's the original that I like.

So sick.. Epic
GIve it up for the guy on that sheet of plywood, wow
This kid is the second coming of Gregg Allman!!!!!!
Nope
ahmm... let's not lose our heads here
He is heavily, heavily influence by both Duane and Gregg so it’s no wonder he has their style. He does it justice, in my opinion.
Killer version! Toy, Doug and the boyz would be proud of this one
Drummer deserves a Cajon with more guts, great combo trio, let's vocals shine, kudos to sound peeps
LOVE
🤟🔥
Nicccce :)
My god he’s good
“No one can cover M…”
*awe*
Bad Ass !
Nice
When I first heard this, I thought it was Ceelo Green
if someone would tab his solo that'd be sweet
Marshal Tucker should be paying Marcus to play this song.......
Not a chance.
Can anyone tell me what type of guitar he is playing on ?
mooncooper I think it’s a Bourgeois Guitar
He even looks a bit like Toy Caldwell
Blew it
WTF why would you cut to the bass in the middle of a solo
What a great song.. but hard to be Doug on this one.... fine job tho
or Toy!
