I came here expecting to be disappointed and to make fun of you but you blew me away with your great playing and your awesome singing you truly have a grasp of this song and the cowboy way you are awesome dude keep on playing and posting
Thank you! Fantastic! I love The MTB, and this one of my favorites. Hitting 70 and looking back I appreciate these songs even more. Extremely talented guiter player!
I was hesitant to listen to this video, but boy was I surprised...your a hell of a picker...I know you made the late Mr.Toy Caldwell very proud...really enjoyed it...the best to you sir.
When I saw the opening picture of a guy on a patio I though, "Oh boy here we go," but seriously, you blew me away! One guy to get that much sound live is nothing but impressive! Vocals are top notch also. I hope that you can find some equal talent and play with a full band. You are PRO level!
You are quite talented sir...I had to watch to see how you managed this song, and you did not disappoint me one bit...you studied Toy's style very well.👍
Hi Bruce very cool rendition...Ive heard different versions... Could you please tell the chord arrangment you use...or maybe show a tutorial .. thanks man keep rocking....
Sure, in the verse I’m playing an Eminor 11 (A in the bass, alternating with the low E) to a Dmaj7. The chorus is Gmaj 7 to Dmaj 7 and the walk down is G, F#minor, E minor 7, A sus then resolve to Dmajor 7. I’m not a great teacher but hope that helps and thanks for your kind remarks.
Great stuff! I know you played with Toy Caldwell Band. Do you have any recordings you could share or any that need to be transferred from cassette, etc? He really never played solos the same way and hearing him take it out in some of those jams is spectacular. I do have the capability to transfer stuff from cassette. You sound great. Thank you for keeping Toy’s songs alive.
My intro was obviously tongue in cheek, I hold the highest respect for my old boss Toy Caldwell and hope he’s smiling down on us as we keep his music alive.
Wonder how Toys daughters feel how about taking their dads songs?? I guess he hasnt heard Marcus King’s cover. His guitar would hang itself.Have you tried Piccolo??
What a comment...this wasn't about being better...don't know who you are or where your from, but I would be willing to bet, that your the least qualified.
Great guitar player and version of this , one of my best songs of all time .

Bruce used to front the Toy Caldwell band for a while and has done songwriting for a bunch of way more famous people in the industry.

I’m in the process of updating stuff now, including a new version of the Toy Caldwell Band at Upper Saddle River. Private event we played in ‘90.
I'm astonished how rude the people are talkng in the background and taking this guitar expertise and singing for granted.

Sorry Marshall Tucker is better

Well, that is really stupid comment Mike.
Wow! That's great! You should create a "how to" for this song! Either way, really nice work!
