That machine is awesome, makes a big job look easy. I passed through Darke county tonight near Greenville, I waved in all directions since I wasn't sure where you were. Keep up the great videos.
An excellent crop! We use to fill a 14x45 Harder on our small farm in the late 80's, early 90s with this. Open it October 30th, carried us to May when we would let the cows back out. Drop it with a Zetor 7211 hooked to a Badger BN1009 Haybine, chopped it with a Deutz D68-06 on an Allis Chalmers 782, into 16' Badger Boxes, blew it up with a short table AC blower that had a WD45 Power unit on it.
Just as I was trying to figure out why he was mowing the short way of the field he turned and started going with the long rows ,go figure ,that is one heck of a mower, better have a lot of acres lined up to make that affordable! Seems like the middle mower is narrower than the outside ones ,would make it interesting to rake if you tried to follow the rows! Thanks for the video!
I'm guessing the Krone has GPS fitted to help with bout matching, otherwise it would be very difficult to maintain a parallel path to the previous run, since the 'wing' mowers are situated so far back and out of line of sight of the driver ? Great drone footage from all angles and no annoying, distracting music. That Krone driver certainly isn't hanging about.
This thing does what, 6m wide at 14km/h, or around 8 hectares an hour, or 128 hectares per farmer's work day(16), or 896 hectares per week(7). So for your harvest week, you'd need about 9 kilometer squared of fields just to use that machine efficiently for a week, just ... wow?
The Big M is in my opinion the better option than the Claas machine with the 5 decks as it just seems there's more to break/wear out. the Krone will have less maintenance but it sure looks lanky when the decks are down.
@Mark Skinner let's get Wes to grow this stuff for the mushroom barns. I have no clue if the barns could use it, but it would make for a great Krone packing season.

Very impressive. Great find.
Yooouuu... GET back to WES COUNTOKY !! ..YUO R...?
there is something very satisfying about that big mower
This machine makes me understand why farming is quite the rare occupation these days.

I'm almost positive there is a conditioner on that which makes how fast he's mowing even more impressive through stuff that thick.
Yes he is conditioning it also. This Big M was impressive.
Great video great machine 👍👍
Damn, that thing is fast.
Beautiful Landscape 🥰
mower looks super big then you get a view of the whole field and its soo small 🙂
I like that grass mower
My uncle works for Claas but i do have to say this is on impressive machine

Cultura de sorgo top
Awesome
Now that’s a mower!
High Speed Mower... 😉👍
be a long day raking all that!
Great Video . That Krone is Alsome. How many Acres can they mow in a day?
50 acres per hour. How many acres per day depends on the operating window regarding weather, etc.
Does the farm own this machine or is it a custom cutter?
Super
WOW
This is what I want fs 20 to look like
Was this a mixture of sorghum and Sudan grass ??
After cutting, will the Sudan grass sprout again if left alone? thanks Mike
jgv Gjv it will
My grandpa used to COMBINE that-THATS wear and tear on a machine
what do you mean
It turns brown like wheat, and u can combine it, but it was really hard on the combine

That beautiful machine likes to drink fuel ,, do you suppose the consumption of that machine got to be 20 gallon of fuel an hour?????

The Claas Cougar has been out of production for quite a while now.
@@SoloTwo42 that is correct. Big M probably just as fast at mowing as it's more compact and powerful per metre mowed, therefore faster.
Is that grass used to feed cows?
Yes. Dairy Cows.
Monster 😨
i thought i seen you at the versatile booth at farm science review lol
y can't they chop that lie corn? maybe it go threw, but wow that is some nice looking feed, it must be hi in protein? great show great work Mike!!!
It is very high moisture if you direct cut it. It has to dry for two or so days before they chop it.
High in protein, not so much for energy (TDN).
32.644ft, close. What kind of conditioner is on this mower?
Roll’s

Wes Pandy (OLF) next year?
@Mark Skinner let's get Wes to grow this stuff for the mushroom barns. I have no clue if the barns could use it, but it would make for a great Krone packing season.
Im guessing that was a deer at about 15:40??
I guess you could have used the sorghum sudan grass as a cover crop and planted green into it
Is Sorghum sudan grass better quality than alfalfa?
Grows in dry conditions.
Did you know there are more BigMs sold in here in Ireland than anny other countery in the world with 20% of totle
Where can I find seeds
Could you imagine the speed he could mow alfalfa
If the ground is not to bad 27 to 29 kmh i think that's 16 to 19 mph.
1100000 farms?

Oh yeah, if i throw yer name around at Van 'L's in Reston Manitoba when i go to demo the anniversary DT550 will it get me a deal or thrown out? lol.

3.28 ft in a meter x 9 = 29.5 ft.
Dani, you are right, sorry for the incorrect answer and false fact
