Now 6002 has something very interesting. Its ditch lights are flashing like a car’s hazard lights rather than normal ditch lights. Never seen anything like that before. Very nice catch!
I noticed that too, found it interesting. I know some locomotives for that but they are pretty rare. I wonder if 6001 is the same way, unfortunately the ditch lights were off.
VCUrailfan15 productions yeah, I noticed that too. There’s one other guy that posted a video of 6002’s first run. It’s ditch lights worked like they normally do. I’m willing to bet the WNYP is doing this intentionally to their locomotives. They’re definitely making themselves an even more unique railroad with their expansion
Nice to see some AC6000s ended up on a regional railroad! Although WNYP did replace the headlights on some of these units (and a couple of their alcos I believe) with LED lights
They rebuild the old AC6000 really cool the old one probably retired now. Its good to see those back in service. I thought ES44 gevo replaced AC6000 locomotives

It's a flash pattern that typical to traffic signals called simultaneous flash when both lights on both sections flash simultaneously
Christopher Moore ahhh okay. That makes sense. This is the first road I’ve seen do this
wiring is messed up within the lighting pattern. we had that happen on ours. the wiring has something to do with the flash delay.
Good to see these AC6000s in use. Also that's a pretty cool ditch light flash pattern. Enjoyed the footage!
Thabks Bishop, I agree.
I wonder if WNY&P will still be using their MLWs frequently.
The 6 axles seems to be being fazed out as more & more AC60s arrive, but the 4 axles are safe to my knowledge
Yeah, I saw 6001,6002,638,637,431,432 in one freight a few weeks ago.
Glad to see WNYP have these locomotives

Reply using the same time light flash
They live! Awesome video man!!
They do! Appreciate it
Are these truly ac6000CWs? with the GE 7HDL16A Twin Turbos?
I miss the 6000s I really wish csx would’ve rebuilt like they’re doing the AC4400s or like how UP is rebuilding their AC6000s
I thought CSX had put GEVO 16 engines in some and they made good locomotives, but there's not much info on them, as if they never existed.
That's very _CHONKY_
Little railroad. Big power. And 6001's ditch lights weren't working.
Yeah not sure why they weren’t on, you you are right!
Excellent catches, I glad to see these Ex-CSX locomotives working in their new home.
Thanks! And I certainly agree!
Awesome chase, man! Miss seeing them on CSX but they look pretty sharp in WNY&P paint. Pretty interesting the way the ditch lights flash. Great video!
Agree! While I hate that they are gone, I can manage knowing that they got new life haha. Thanks for watching
Dang, the WNY&P went from Alcos to ACs just like that...
Yeah that shit ended fast rip
@@VCUrailfan15productions AC is in AlCo. a GE is just a alco with the bugs worked out.
What’s with the ditch lights? Sad that they are going to ge
is it still using GEVO 16 or 7hdl16??
should have the GEVO16.
@@rearspeaker6364 wow that's powerful engine still run today
@@alwaysphone4630 did some research, the GEVO16'S in the WNYP locos are derated to 4300 hp., by what I read earlier.
@@rearspeaker6364 did it rated in 4600hp?
@@alwaysphone4630 could be.
It's interesting to see the ditch lights flash at the same time. Nice shot
Agree, and I appreciate it!
Nice video! That's alot of power for such small trains.
Beautiful locos---cool ditch lights. :)
Thank you!
Wow thats cool how the ditchlights flash!
WNY&P only two AC6000CW or more to coming ?
4 more are coming

Es44 replaced the AC6000s on CSX
@@VCUrailfan15productions But they did rebuild on the AC6000 UA-cam you will see them
I know ES44 gevo replaced the AC6000
Never seen ditch lights like those.
WNY&P 6001 had a K5H
This is CW46AH. Not ac6000 any more
That is my favorite train I live in Pennsylvania on gardeau road and saw that train went by from western New York to pennsylvania
Nice!
I live on Gardeau too. That was my Grandmas phone!
I also saw 6 days ago #6001,#6002,#638,#637,#431,#432
It's just not the same without all the smoke and that old Alco chug.
You’re not wrong
Who knows when #6003 will arrive.
Just watching this makes me feel cold
This is only November
Subaru moment.
rio grande ac4400cw and ac6000cw
I miss seeing these AC6000s on the A-Line. What was the location in your intro?
