Those poor SD40's were really working to haul all of those monsters up the hill. Too bad they didn't have one or two of them powered up and helping. Very cool to see all of those AC6000's though. I've never seen any of them in the flesh.
@@CSX_Doolittle I didn't knew that at all they had maintenance problems. I thought ES44sh replaced the AC6000 locomotives. They are scap now all of them. Csx still use ac44 and dash 9 still in service
@@andrewcrane2786 Not all of CSX's AC6000s got scrapped. 5002, 5003, 5009, and about 5-ish others were purchased by the Western New York & Pennsylvania Railroad (WNYP). The rest either got scrapped, or are in lease storage.
It is obvious that csx is being run by people who don't know a reliable locomotive when they see one!after while, they won't have any thing to pull nothing with! This is a very sad sight to see! If I ran a railroad,I would keep these big girls on my line. And let them do what they do best! Make money for my railroad!and I. Keep them in top shape!giving them the maintenance they need!no mo talk!
This going on on the railroad industry. If I had the money, every one of these big beautiful ladies would be put back to work making money for my railroad.
if those AC6000's were running that train would be making it up that hill no problem. We will all miss the CSX AC6000CW's
EpicCSX agreed
Yeah
But then we wouldn’t have this treat of notch 8 SD40-2s::::::
@@gordtvradio3465 yea
Theres like i say like 4 or 3 AC6000CWs left on CSX sense most went to PRLX one of them is stored in Waycross Georgia and russel kentucky
These girls have a future!at least they won't be scrapped!csx should have never got rid of these rare beautiful big girls! Should have kept them!
Wish I had known when they were going to take those ac6000s up the hill.
Very great video! But can they please bring back the AC6000CW?
Why ? They looked nice but bad reliability.
itd be dumb to bring those back
Those 2 SD 40-2 are getting the job done 6000 HP pulling all that weight up hill
❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, 11 locomotives in a row, thousands of horsepowers there
The CSX locomotives were not under power. They were being transported
Only 2 sd 40-2 running

They’re ex-Conrail Dash-2’s. Conrail opted for EMD’s flexicoil trucks on them-they’re the only ones who did.
I hope and pray that someone get brave enough to save at least two of these unique big ge locomotives.
CSX has 3 AC6000s in storage currently
Csx still has three of girls in storage, but I am hoping that they will come out of storage and be made to run again.
@@terrywallace1327 I hope so aswell
That’s a good site to see I wish that Csx would of kept thoes train engines
Why they are not using the AC6000s?!
They've been sold to Progress Rail for leasing, I'm assuming this was a transfer move
DC Railfanner thanks for the info. Cheers!
Bc SD40s are amazing
Work it you beasts!!! So sad those 9 600s CSX girls are no more
Wow what a power move
The ES44 Gevo Es44AH tier replaced the AC6000 I miss those AC6000 they have more power..
Not realy those ac6000s could have been still in sevice but they had maicanic problems

NC 5 - been up and down this stretch at all hours for over 50 years.
Why’d they get rid of the 6000s? Great vid btw!

Because of psr!a k.a.,precision scheduled railroading! It is very sad to see
They should have rebuilt these AC6000CW
Do you know what happened to those AC6000s?
sold to PRLX, most are scrapped now. the rest are sitting in a deadline
Soooooooo much power can pull almost anything
Full speed ahead 😊
If pull came to push there would be a lot!
Quite a lashup !!! Nice !!
they dont need an e-bell on that type of train locomotive
Cool catch!
Notch 64: Electric Bogaloo
Like a title G
That’s just sad. I hate to see those engines go.
Yaasiin aburaas
2 SD40-2
no smoke.
Click bait! Two locos, not nine. Wasting our time...
Not clickbait. Two SD40s hauling 9 AC60CWs.
Sadly ironic.SD40s pulling their so called modern stuff to retirement probably.GM and GE did not learn from the Centenials it seems.
