Sending prayers for Hays Walker. So happy to hear you are ok after Milton. I think your tip on removing the Velcro rollers is so important. I have fine grey hair and it breaks easily. Removing the roller gently and not just pulling it out really saves the hair from breaking. Your hair is so beautiful and I appreciate the demonstration on how to keep it so healthy and voluminous.❤❤❤
Tammy, thank you so much for showing us all the products you use when you're styling with your velcro rollers. Really helpful! Your blow drying technique was also a huge revelation for me. Drying the bottom of your hair first using your roller brush to smooth with a bend and then flipping your hair over and drying using your fingers at the crown is brilliant.

So excited for Ashley! ❤ you taught me many things I had forgotten about long hair and Velcro! I straightened this crazy hair about 2 weeks ago… I put too much on two curlers… what tangles… and of course I was meeting a friend for shopping… so frustrating. I finally got them out heated up the irons and had to use heat anyways… thank you for the refresh on these… you look so amazing! Such inspiration… 65 is interesting….🙄😜❤

And finally, you are the one who inspired me to let go of the hair dye!😊 Starting out was difficult for me because I dyed my hair a medium copper brown. So the contrast of silver roots with copper in the first few months made me look BALD in there. I hated that! I never could have done it while I was still working! I’m a year in now and no going back. I’m 75 and I retired last October. I still wear my hair long, but it’s not as long as yours 😊
These tips were perfect. Thank you! Gray hair is so much more coarse, and definitely has a mind of its own!😂

Oh I remember my mom using these prickly rollers and I had to sleep in them, I have used the velcro and the hot rollers, I prefer hot rollers now.

Beautiful! I have curly hair and I use this method! But instead of just being able to blow dry I have to blowout my hair first. I find it’s easier to wear and keep styled and maintained this way. Once a week I’ll blow it all out and do a roller set. It can be a bit tricky especially with thick textured hair but it’s possible and totally worth it!
Very true about the Nicu nurses. I worked there for 25 out of my 45 years as an RN. I was the Asst. Nurse Mgr. of the night shift. The hospital where I worked in NYC was a level 5 NICU. We saw some of the tiniest, toughest and sickest babies. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. It was one of my greatest achievements in my 45 year career.
Prayers to sweet baby! I have the rollers but I definitely needed the Bobby pins. I also got the med hair spray as I have a bob and want some volume but not to much.
I was so excited when Velcro rollers came out. That was way before flat irons. I would roll my wet super thick curly hair in those things and wear them all day and sometimes sit under a hood dryer, yes I had a hood dryer!! Lol. I loved the volume but have not used them since flat irons. Now I know I can use them with almost dry hair. Thanks Tammy. Prayers for baby momma and great aunt. It’s heartbreaking to see a baby not well.

This is great! I use my diffuser attachment with high heat to heat up the rollers (then finally on cold). I find this keeps the flyaways at bay as the hair strands don’t get blown off the rollers.

I love your hair! Length, color, it's very nice.
I like putting velcros in my wet hair with products to keep style. I use smaller rollers as I want curls on shoulder length hair.
I use thin slices of hair and use loads of rollers.
I sit in the sun with a book and a coffee.
I use my hairdryer before taking rollers out warm to activate styling product then cool shot.
Take rollers out and let it fall where it wants and then gently move with fingers.
Hair spray.
I get 3 days of style dropping a bit more each day.
I have fine hair but lots of it with a wave naturally.
I don’t get frizz but I do if I just air dry without the rollers.
I also have blonde foils so products are a must.

My hair is similar to yours, although not as long and for the life of me, I’ve been trying to get the lift around the hairline, I think since I was born, gonna try your products and gonna try not to get my hair wrapped around the curling brush without ripping it out thank you again! thank you for all this! i bought your recommended hot rollers and love them! i had tried velcro rollers but try as i may i was pulling out hair! and my hair has thinned, so they were a no go for me sadly as i love the no heat thing. i am growing out layers to give me more thickness at the bottom, so i most often wear my hair up which i have gotten so many complements on. two people said that i looked 20 years younger with it up! i will take it!! thanks Tammy!!

Hello Tammy, love your hair absolutely beautiful. I use Velcro, but I have curly thin hair that I need volume and I do not like the frizz so I struggle with my hair. It’s not as easy to deal with, especially when you live in Florida.

Prayers for Baby Hayes. My hair is similar in texture to yours and I also live in a humid area. I use a leave in conditioner that has been a game changer for me the last several years. It is by Pureology so it’s not cheap, but it is so worth it. Color Fanatic Multi- Tasking Leave In Conditioner. I still use a regular conditioner in the shower but I spray this on my wet hair before applying any of my other styling products. Total game changer.
