You may never read this, we never get tired of watching you work the cattle mow the hay feed the pigs gather the eggs or any of your chores. We could watch day in day out. You bring memories back of another time , even watching you rebuild the vehicles or going to the market. You explains why you use a screw instead of a nail.
Just a 62 year old gma here wishing I was living the farm life now. Just love watching your videos to give me a taste of life with the cows.
I feel the same way at 83. Hoping that if there is another life someday my choice would be farming rather than city life.
At 59 yrs young, I made that happen. Wish I had done that at 50 so I'd be learning farm life when I was more able to tend to my pet cows. Oh yeah not the typical farm life . They are more like big children. Lol
I was just thinking the same thing! I’m 63 and grew up in farm land in Montana! Those were the best times of my life🥰
This 82yr old lady enjoys watching all the farm work and Tyler's common sense approach to it all.
Thanks for showing the train, a real beauty.
The Steam train was beautiful thanks for sharing it with us!
Interesting.
You say you're not an organized person, yet you :
systematically plan breeding times so all calves are similar in weight and size for ease in transport, health checks and sales, you plan hay seeding, mineral supplementation, mowing, baling, even the 4' bales for less waste!, fencing repair and replacement for ease and efficiency, chicken, turkey, pig corrals, concrete foundations for future processing, prep for a more efficient cattle chute... and all the updates on the trailers and your smaller vehicles, as well as all the safety behaviors and designs you constantly think of and implement... I KNOW I'm missing the other 99% of organization you do to run your ranch by yourself!!
Unorganized!! Nope!!!
I believe you're still thinking of the most efficient way to get that shop working for you.
I'm your biggest fan!
Retired teacher from Texas
I tip my cap to you, young man.
🤩
Well thought out .
Great video of the Union Pacific Big Boy steam locomotive!!! Thanks as always.
You know your cattle so well - each has a different attitude and habit. Great that you allow them to be themselves - happy cows make happy farmers! LOVE Buddy!
The train, Belly cooling her belly and more interesting information about cows. Thx. Keep working on your shop, little by little. You’ll get there. 😊
Morning FT! My advise, take your time and enjoy! You’re a very busy guy, you’ll get it! Tx so much for all of the updates, always great to see Buddy! That train was amazing, tx for filming it Tyler! ❤❤❤
Yes! It was so good to see Buddy ❤
Ohhh, I LOVE organizing!! I'd love to get my hands on that shop!!
Problem with that is that Tyler would have to redo it all after you finished.
❤❤SHOP WORK❤❤ cleaning up and organizing shop brings me back to the good old days 😢
Good morning Tyler Ranch. Have a great weekend. Your channel brings calm. 😊
Last one in the Bellie Pool is a rotten egg! I had 2 Uncles that were farmers when I was young, it was the highlight of my life when we would go to the farm to visit them and our Grandmother! I sure do miss those days, like the song “If I could put Time in a Bottle “. Love your videos that you do Tyler!
You are great at teaching and explaining! You always make your vids interesting! Stay cool!
❤Always a pleasure to watch another one. Your 2 dogs are truly your ranch hands. You can tell that they love you very much.
That is a really cool train!
My four-year-old LOVES trains and was delighted with that one! I've been watching Ryan Hall and saw y'all were sweltering; glad the cows are all okay! Belly has the right idea with lying down in the water!
I see ya supporting that Country View Acres. 🤜🏻🤛🏻💯
Callie is awesome dog. love how she hangs with you.
Hot day, need ⛱️. Fine train. Enjoy a cool evening with the family
I miss my grandmas house. When I was really young, I would sit on her porch and count the box cars.
I can send my daughter out there for a week or so and have you’r shop so organized, it would look like a show room. 😅She has always straighten up things at the register when we were shopping. The people in Maine that have a wonderful deli asked if she could stay the summer and help. Only issue was she was only 5. 😂😂
Buddy is awesome..
I'm really enjoying your laid-back channel.
Thanks for the video about Buddy.
I enjoyed seeing the train! Thank you for sharing that. I love seeing Buddy also. You work so hard, be careful in the heat.
If you can find what you need, its organized!
I loved the sound of the steam engine pulling out of the yard and the wheels spinning as it gained speed when I was a kid and the whistle at the crossings.
Hi Tyler I’m so happy to see you again
Omg the calves are growing big
Good update! Indeed this ranch is more then ready for the heat to head EAST!! Keep hydrated FTR!!
Don't worry about Callie not laying in the water. Unlike us humans, dogs regulate heat mostly through their paws, ears and tongue. So standing in the cool water maybe enough for her at the time. Also, remember her light color reflects more than Bellie's dark coat. 💖🌞🌵😷
I just love Bellie I had a German Shepherd I grew up with. He use to make me so mad when I got in my small swimming pool he would get in to and then there was no room to play. He had to be and do everything I did. When I would get out of the pool he would just stay there. They do love water. Buddy is so sweet I wish I had a steer as sweet as he is just love him. Thank you for sharing the train with us it had a sound I've never heard before very nice.
Sure enjoy your videos - from your heart you care about your land and your animals and it shows.
I find things usually look messier before they look better. Looking forward to seeing your shop when it's just right for your needs. Yes, love to see all the cattle, but Buddy is at the top.
Organizing is a difficult thing, easy for some...but...
I love the "Mini dams" used to stop the water in the levees, great idea.
Love your videos, come across them by accidentally just have a few things to say,I am a retired goat rancher and looking to run steers next spring, but when I watch you I get inspired, thank you for that, there is one clip of you and your dogs moving your small dams and when I saw that I just had to think you are fitting of paul Harvey's God made a farmer thanks for the videos I look for to watching all your videos
Wow, you guys have it tough in that hot weather. Really enjoyed this video. Best wishes from Ireland.
I love that train! Love when it stops so you can stand next to it. Look up the Big Boy Train and you can see when it comes close to you.
Great video. I like these videos where we tag along with the variety of your day. I identitfy with the challenge of organizing... and keeping it organized as i move along. Thanks for sharing.
That’s the right way to get organized!!
Thanks for your knowledge on
Cattle ranching
LOVE YOUR VID'S!!!
Thank You So Much for Showing the "STEAM ENGINE" I'm a Bit of a "Steam Train Fanatic" ❤
Great footage of that old steam engine! Loved hearing the whistle. Things are looking good in the shop and at the ranch.
Thanks for sharing the 4884 big boy locomotive. That train is to tour much of the West this summer. According to the article of its route it is the only one still running. I'm truly hoping it makes it to the Midwest next year. I'd love to see it run.
So glad to see your progress on your organizing the shop.
106° sounds awful.
Are you more humid or dry where you are?
Fun to see dogs in the water.
Have a great weekend.
Really neat to see the train footage thanks a lot
GREAT VIDEO TYLER
Good to see the old steam engine running down the tracks have a good weekend.
So cool to see and hear that steam engine ! I assumed it was just going to be the engine but there was a lot of cars attached - thanks for filming it and sharing it with us !
You may not be “organized” in your shop but every time you’ve got a project in the shop, we see a clean, open space for the job to get done.
Totally agree with your comment about makeshift storage! But it works for now given your other priorities.
We’re irrigating this weekend i. 110+ heat. Yesterday one of our cows plopped down right at the irrigation valve for a nice soak in the cool creek water!
I have always found that little-by-little works best for me. Steam trains are expensive to run, pollute heavily and are beautiful. I am old enough to remember when all trains were steam and I miss them. A steam train seems to be alive...
This brings back memories. We grew cotton then switched to headda feed. We did ours with pipes. Took me many tries to get the suction going when we had to switch ditches.
We lived in Yettem, Calif. That was many years ago but I often see many familiar landmarks in your videos.
Just love watching you do all your stuff😊😊😊👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻x
That's the Union Pacific Big Boy on its west coast tour.
That Union Pacific Bigboy steam trains. People will chase it for hours. My exhub and I have done that many times. Got some good pictures and videos of it. So you had a treat.. Yes German Shepherds LOVE water. I couldn’t keep mine out of the creeks, rivers and the ocean. He LOVED it all. Had to get him a pool. Great dogs!!
Tyler, why isn't just put a piece of carpet. On your back four-wheeler so your dogs paws won't be endanger caught it's rear bar, 😮 slipping & sliding.🏂 When they're riding with you through the fields. We really enjoy watching your videos.❤ A lot to learn from.
Thank you 👍
My shop got so messy years ago that my wife couldn't stand it anymore. She took it upon herself to clean up the shop and had a labeling system and everything. She learned most of the tools and had names for drawers and cabinets like plumbing, screwdrivers, rags, pliers,etc.,.. but the best one was "things that cut".... if she wasn't sure of the tool and it had an edge it went in there. I get a scolding when the shop gets messy, but the next day it is like new!!!!!!!!
Another great video Tyler! Heading out to clip pastures here this morning. another hot day in the mountains of Virginia!
Nice shot of big boy. Train gets a lot of attention every where it goes
Good job
The big black steam engine is the Union Pacific "Big Boy" 4014, the largest steam locomotive ever built. It was on display at the rail museum in Pomona for quite some time. I saw it there about 18 years ago. At some point, UP decided to restore a locomotive from their 4000 series. After evaluating the condition of the remaining engines that had not been scrapped after being decommissioned, 4014 was selected and hauled back to Wyoming, where it was dismantled and rebuilt. The work was completed in time for the 150th anniversary of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, where Big Boy 4014 and the 844 Living Legend steam engines made appearances.
The restoration of 4014 is a remarkable feat, and most people assumed they would never seen an operational 4000 locomotive ever again. So whenever it goes out, people chase it along frontage roads in cars, wait in intersections to catch a glimpse of it passing by, and congregate by the thousands to view it. To hazard a guess, this footage was taken prior to its arrival in Roseville, where it was on display on July 13th and 14th. It is very, very cool that you were able to see it and film it.
I'm pretty sure Callie is a diver and Bellie is a dabbler. Silly pups! ❤
Thankyou for the video and the steam engine 🚂 was big .
Thankyou for sharing your life on your ranch .
Stay safe .
That steam engine would make my friend's day. He loves trains of all kinds. He has model trains that are even in his yard. . . . believe it or not, he has moose stepping on his tracks just outside of Calgary, Alberta.
Tyler you are so right, organization requires a making bigger mess before things start looking better, or making sense! Hang in there, you will be happy with the end results.
I love trains, thanks for showing it. I didn't know it got that hot in N. Cal.
Thank you so much for the train pics I heard it was coming but didn’t think. I could see it.
Pretty dang cool. Great video. Glad they're holding up to the heat. I'm battling it myself. Come on fall!!
Good day sir UP 4041 (The Union Pacific Big Boy) stored at Cheyenne Wyoming,. The steam engine was built in 1941. I live in Northern Colorado and see the unit go up and down the tracks every year. Fantastic video.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO Tyler
Damn those calves look really good!
I was lucky enough to see big boy in Wisconsin a few years back
Hey..u do get a lot done! Remember your wife and babies as well which I know you do from watching videos. I wish you had time to put more videos on you tube. But it's nice you don't seem to jeopardize your immediate family! You do a fantastic job Tyler! Don't put yourself down!!
Lol it always looks worse before it gets better.😊 It can take a couple weeks working on a little by little.😉
Thanks FTR. Stay cool if you can. I escaped to Oregon for a week or so. Cooler here.
THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO
0mg, that was a cool train.😊
111/88f here in sunny 🌞 Arizona 🌵 today. Sending lots of love 💖. Take care of yourself and each other 😷.
It always looks worse before you get to putting all together!❤
Buddy ❤❤❤
What you like to do is start projects. Finishing them is another matter
The UP Big Boy 4014 is really a big deal. All them folks you saw trackside is what we call Railfans, or Foamers. That steam whistle is like no other. Glad you were able to see it.
The Train!❤
I understand the heat...I live in the Phoenix area. But I don't have to be out in it. The heat is deadly--keep hydrated!
If I were a dog I'd be rolling around in the water with Bellie...
Thanks for your consistently interesting videos .
Good one FTR.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO TYLER 😊❤
Sounds like a regular summer here in Australia. Weeks on end of temps in the high 90's and 100's. And no rain for month either.
Thats why we like big hats and swimming pools lol😂😂
We visited Death Valley this year and it was 110 degrees. That was hot!
My GSD’s loved the water in summer. They have a double coat & getting the under coat to the skin wet helps them stay cooler when it’s hot.
Union Pacific Railroad web site has pages about Big Boy 4011 steam locomotive. It has a very interesting history & well worth reading about it and the other steam locomotives that were retired, stored or used as tourist attractions & brought back & restored to operational condition & returned to Union Pacific again. 4011 often has another smaller steam locomotive hooked up behind her that is a assist locomotive and a diesel locomotive behind that used if more pull power is needed or if between water towers to conserve when pulling large heavy loads through the mountains operating out of home base of Cheyenne, Wyoming. They have a few operating around the USA. There’s no other sound in the world like a steam locomotive.
When organizing everything is worse before it's better!
I can't work organized either, when I do, I can't find a thing!
Thx
Hi from Arkansas. Love your videos. Reminds me of where I grew up. Farm life is constant work, but so rewarding!
Cows told me, they would like there water by where YOU want them to eat. Simple move them MOVE WATER TOO😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly I don't know how you work in that heat!! It gets how in St. Louis............but I just stay inside! LOL
FTR, the main thing about organizing is after you are finished using it put it back where it belongs and clean up the work area so you are happy ready to work .
Looks like the dogs know how to cool off in the water..
First you have to empty the space. Then it’s easier for to organize
Great video
Suggestion for your mister, don’t have it at full pressure. Our cattle love them but we have tried it at full pressure and they avoid that. They really, really help, we have our hose hanging high from a tree branch and control the on off at the water pump. We keep the valve about 1/2 way open. Enjoy your videos.
What about putting some more shade trees or some kid of structure for shade along the edge of the corral so it's not a hindrance to operations
Shew! Seeing 65 walk through that mister and the dirt kick up around her proves how hot and dry it is there. It’s mid 80s here in southern Indiana.
Yes I sure wish I could help you organize that garage!!😂 love organizing. Keeping it that way is a different thing🤪😂
I too enjoyed the comments on Buddy. That was just an awesome video🐂❤
Stay cool, FTR and we’ll see you next time
Oh! That was too bad you didn’t get to enjoy the train for yourself. I often felt that way at my kids birthday parties, Christmas’s, no way to do things I see now lol but thx for showing it. It was super cool. I loved how they had it all “spiffed up” lol pretty!
