Thanks for the vid, Farmer Tyler. I can't wait to see how it works for you! I am a 65 year old woman, but I find your videos very interesting, and I appreciate your sharing your life. You are a smart fellow. May The Lord Jesus bless you and your family!
You are saving yourself lots of money with your DYI model. Very cool! Love that you are able to use what you have to make what you need. That is skill!!
JB Weld, zip ties, and a creative mind...sounds like a good solution to me! Functionality is the first priority. Taking it to the county fair is for those with too much time on their hands.
Hi FT! The plucker looks ready to go, great job! So interesting to watch you work on different things, you’re a man of many talents for sure! God’s blessings!❤❤❤❤
Excellent work on the plucker. Most of the pluckers listed on Amazon look very flimsy. Yours may weigh a ton but it looks to be very durable and repairable. A single bobcat took over the harvesting side of my chicken enterprise, so I'm not in need of one. Excellent work on the plasma cutter repair. Yours looks to be similar to those that I have browsed around. If the repair parts can go unavailable, I can pass on that, too. While you were saving yourself some money, you also saved me some, too! 👍
Love these vids!!! Reminds me of watching my Grandpa in the shop as a little one. I'm never too old to learn something new or watch someone thinking outside the box for solutions.
Chances are that air compressor part is made by Parker. They are still in business. Just need to find a place that carries it. Anyway regulator and drain should work. Don't give up you can find something to repair it or replace it.
Good morning FT, Ms. FT &Kids, and farm, including animals. Since I will soon be going back to the farm. A video request when you set the time can you do an updated welding video with the new plasma cutter and other demos. Thank you my whole family loves the videos and all the work you do alone. It’s encouraging for other who don’t think they can farm alone. Well if you have the know how. I too know enough to get me in trouble. I enjoyed hanging out with you, have a blessed weekend and see you next time🍻
I always laugh when you say chicken plucker with a little grin on your face.😂😂😂 i remember you building your first plucker, that's a while ago now. Job well done 😃😃💯💯💯😃😃
Don't beat yourself up with tig welding aluminum. when ever possible I would go and abscond the spoolgun and rig it up to my miller 250. remember if you want you can go over your welds making either small circles or a back and forth up and over your bead to make it look pretty. I for some reason enjoy watching your ranching and farming skills and lifestyle. Only animal we raised are pet dogs. Living in town and spent my career as a tool maker and allot of fabricating one off and prototyping. thank you, I've learned allot watching you.
You might be able to mount the waterproof box with the kind of screws that are used to mount metal roofing. Those have rubber washers on them. The rubber may also help with the vibration. Just a thought.
I wanted to see what a 12 week old cornish cross looks like. They must have been monsters. We package our hind quarters in freezer bags and put the beast meat in jars and pressure cook them. works out really good.
If that aluminum is in contact with steel you will get electrolysis it will corrode. A simple isolator like duct tape between the two will prevent corrosion. All together once again a nice build.
FTR; another fulfilling video. Your fabrication skills never cease to amaze. I’m a combat veteran, but for some reason I cannot watch the chicken harvesting.
Farmer Tyler - If you look closely at the back of your Switch Box, you will see 4 small holes, one near each corner. They are designed to mount the box, probably using self-tapping screws.
Would elongating the holes for the motor mounts make the pulley adjustment any easier? Or did you adjust the pulley adjustment by sliding the pulley up the shaft? Either way would work, i suppose. Another fine bit of re-engineering by FTR. 👍😎
"Farmer fix"......love that.....powers that be, get that in the dictionary! Definition - when a farmer cannot find or afford replacement parts to repair needed equipment, he or she or they, come up with idea to fix it. 😊
Speaking from experience as a bad designer of things I love things like zip ties and adhesive because they don't make you commit to anything, e.g. permanent holes, which I know I will probably find a better way to do later due to the aforementioned bad design. 😂
I'm wondering, if that defective part is just a water separator, bypass it with a hose and use an external aftermarket inline water separator? Just a thought.
Very interesting how you patched up the plasma cutter. You may want to visit Arc Solutions if your repair doesn’t hold. Hypertherm PMX30 / PMX30XP Air Filter Bowl Replacement Kit 428246 (Price Regular $42.32) Of course it may not be the correct one for your needs.

Only a true FTR fan would watch a "Reinventing My Chicken Plucker" You are amazing with all your skills.
Another Farmer Tyler custom design! Always so clever.
You are saving yourself lots of money with your DYI model. Very cool! Love that you are able to use what you have to make what you need. That is skill!!
I can honestly say that is the best electric chicken plucker rebuild video I have ever seen.
Excellent comment.
I think it's probably the only one I've ever seen.
A plucking great repair!
Haha I get it!
Dude you have serious skills!
Good update and Plucker mod! Chicken in the freezer soon! Good post FTR!
Teriffic job Tyler, you never fail to amaze me with your fabrication skills!
Always enjoyable watching you problem solve and fabricate! Another great day on FTR!
Before I saw the zip ties I was thinking of them. Duct tape and zip ties fix everything😂
Back in the 1940’s, my mother was the hatchet and chicken plucker lady on our chicken farm. Tough life for a city gal.
Great work, Tyler. 👍 🔩
Farmer Tyler inventor and fabricator!
Great work on the chicken plucker.
Your creative skills are impressive. Thank you for sharing them with us.
Just blow my mind every time I watch you fabricate something from a bunch of scrape material.
Yes, definitely a Master Craft. I take away that Never give up and never surrender attitude.
The improvements look really good! Curious to see how the changes affect the chicken harvesting process.
The Work of your hands ....... Blessed.. , look forward to seeing how this machine works ☘my Grandmother did it by hand.
Your family is so lucky to have you. You’re a very creative person.
Here’s hoping Hobart will comp you a new plasma cutter! Tim from Northern TN
Thanks for sharing, another project off your to do list.
JB Weld, zip ties, and a creative mind...sounds like a good solution to me!
Functionality is the first priority. Taking it to the county fair is for those with too much time on their hands.
Amazing! I find it fascinating to watch you do things I know absolutely nothing about!
I see you! Keep up the good work!
Hope the family and you’re doing well 💜
Have a great day Tyler. Looking forward to hearing if you have cats.
And about the bottle calves. 🙂
He does.
Growing up we did 209 chickens every summer for our family of 8. Our chicken plucker was a time saver !
Your lucky, we did it hand!!
Hi FT! The plucker looks ready to go, great job! So interesting to watch you work on different things, you’re a man of many talents for sure! God’s blessings!❤❤❤❤
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO TYLER 😊❤
Enjoyed watching this little project. Reminiscent of some older days. Have a great day.

Chicken plucker looks fantastic! Can't wait to see how it works!
I think you're a good fabricator who enjoys farming. Nice to be happy in life improving your work environment and tools.
Love these vids!!!

Darn it Tyler, you're making us wait again for the next episode !!!!! plus it's 01:32 am here in Oz !!

Happy harvesting!

Drip loop in the wire !
👍👍👍
Beautiful work. Love watching you approach your problem and figure out the right fix. Thank you!
Outstanding. That looks awesome.
good shop day!
GOOD AFTERNOON TYLER GREAT VIDEO
Bravo, FT! Job well done!
Nice work. One suggestion for the plasma is to put a universal water separator.
You're amazing!! Love every video and always look forward to the next!!
I always laugh when you say chicken plucker with a little grin on your face.😂😂😂 i remember you building your first plucker, that's a while ago now. Job well done 😃😃💯💯💯😃😃
Plucking machine machine works real well thank you for the video
I just love your videos.

Never before have seen a chicken plucking machine.

You need to make it with an old washtub from Mrs. FTR. That’s what a lot of my farmer friends have done
I wanted to see what a 12 week old cornish cross looks like. They must have been monsters. We package our hind quarters in freezer bags and put the beast meat in jars and pressure cook them. works out really good.
Impressive work!!
You should be able to check with a store that deals with air compressors and get a replacement part that should be close enough to work
Well done 👍

FTR; another fulfilling video. Your fabrication skills never cease to amaze. I’m a combat veteran, but for some reason I cannot watch the chicken harvesting.
Would good ol’ JB weld have held that instead of zip ties? Great job! See you next time for hopefully a longer video😂😂❤😜❤
What about turkey plucking? At last Thanksgiving, you mentioned revising the chicken plucker to accommodate turkeys? 💖🌞🌵😷
I don’t know about a turkey. I mean I think the new motor has the power to do it but I don’t think the drum is big enough to fit a turkey!
@@farmertylerranch4399 so what are you going to do come Thanksgiving 2024? Pluck by hand again? 💖🌞🌵😷
Great Work ❤😊
Its always best to have a water separator in-line before the air line goes into the equipment
Farmer Tyler - If you look closely at the back of your Switch Box, you will see 4 small holes, one near each corner. They are designed to mount the box, probably using self-tapping screws.
Be carfull with the metal from the drill going on floor, my dog god some in his paw not easy to get out as it’s like a fish hook
I’m pretty sure Tyler was putting the scraps or splitters in a bucket. He’s usually very careful.
did you make the basket of the chicken plucker, or can you just buy that part already made.?
SS Worm Clamps. Firm hold, no rust
Great video😊
You're the Best, great job
Good job

My father had a saying too....he was a farmer/other occupations. He would say, "Jack of all Trades, Master of None".

Try using velcro to hold your switch on to the frame
JB Weld the switch box to the frame.
❤️
You never see a fat farmer 😂
Two thumbs up 👍👍
💕💕💕
Hey Tyler :)
💖💖💖💖💖
You need a contract with the Zip Tie manufacturer.
Watch for galvanic corrosion due to two metals & power.
👍🏻
I'm wondering, if that defective part is just a water separator, bypass it with a hose and use an external aftermarket inline water separator? Just a thought.
Made one using a bench grinder to pick geese. I like yours better
While it’s there and you are welding, add some wheels an a handle so you can roll it in place
Build a rack to set the electrical box in , to just slide it down in it
Considering Hyperthermia products are made in the USA you'd think you be able to easily purchase parts for them.
Can you use a magnet to hook electric box to frame?
I dont know
❤❤VIDEO ❤❤
220 motor - you can switch the white & black back and forth - no biggie.
Piece of inter tube to cover motor?
👍👍❤🐔🐂
How many chickens can a chicken plucker pluck when a chicken plucker plucks not at all? Hmmm !!

I can't believe you can't just replace that regulator. It looks like a standard 1/4" not ported assembly you can get all day long!
How about some wheels on one end?
Zip ties seem to be the new haywire and duct tape.
