Since I would be staying in a standard room. I wouldn't until I start seeing better reviews of those rooms. I love the Aria and have stayed there many times and still do most of my gambling and eating there. But after reading a steady stream of bad reviews and the Show Me Vegas video. I cancelled my last reservation there in Nov and switched to the Delano. I doubt MGM has 'made it right' for all the people who have had bad stays at the Aria. But don't have a forum like the Show Me Vegas couple. One question, was the total for the upgraded room $100 or an extra $100 on top of what you originally booked the room for?

I thought the suite looked exceptional, and the service sounded good too, from what you showed the hotel looked lush as well although the pool looked a little boring, I am in agreement however with the other comments, would you have been treated so well inc the upgrade had you been incognito Madame Ruby , you could end up being a victim of your own success, and you’ll end up not being able to give an impartial review , not because of your being dishonest, but by the corporations knowing your a travel blogger giving you a much better service , room etc because they know you’ll be reviewing it , be careful Hun , that would be such a shame cause I love your style and charm 🥰
Ruby I'm glad that you had a good experience at Aria. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights in July of 2021 it was the worst stay ever, after we complained about a filthy, busted up room, they moved us to one that was just filthy. I wanted to check out and go to the Bellagio but my wife was to tired from the trip at 4 am. They sent me a email about my stay and I gave it to them alright,to this day they never contacted me about the awful experience. Anyway, my money will be spent elsewhere. I enjoy your channel very much. Thank you.
Same situation with me and when I let them know in an Email what had happened to us during our stay (all negative) we never heard from them again. Real CLASS from a LOW CLASS Facility.

That was right in the middle of Covid. None of the shows or events were even open. All of the resorts were extremely understaffed. I was there that month also. My hotel wasn't spotless, but I chose not to complain as I understood why.
Bellagio wasn’t much better we had broken furniture and stains everywhere the water view was the only good part for what it costs per night.
I saw the Show me Vegas video about the Aria. While everything you showed is wonderful it doesn’t seem fair to compare the luxury suite with a standard room. The sky suites were recently updated. Not sure you would have the same experience in a standard room.
For what it's worth, I just stayed in a standard room for two nights there March 27-29.................and I enjoyed my stay personally. I will acknowledge in terms of value (what you pay versus what you get), ARIA's rooms in their current state just don't stack up with Wynn/Encore, The Cosmopolitan or the Waldorf Astoria. I thought the same thing about Bellagio's rooms for years, but they have just finished renovating their rooms so maybe my opinion on their rooms will change when I come back there. But as of right now, the value and luxury in ARIA's rooms just doesn't justify their current pricing point.
Still, the ARIA as a whole is a gorgeous property I consistently enjoy visiting. =)

I stayed there last October and had an amazing stay. I had heard that some of the standard rooms need work (but I've heard that about almost every hotel in Vegas after the past couple of years). I've started booking/requesting the Stay Well rooms at all the MGM properties because those were all updated with the Stay Well amenities in the past 2 - 3 years so they are a little "fresher" than the other rooms. Just a tip for those going to an MGM hotel.

Your room at Aria was super nice!!! We stayed there recently and got a basic room. The room wasn't the cleanest and the furniture needed some updates, but it was okay overall. We were surprised how crowded the hotel was overall. Great review guys!!! Always fun to watch you! ♥
That shows how the Aria has gone downhill. A couple of years it wasn’t a just OK type of hotel.
Baccarat is SUPER simple. The majority of the game is just choosing between banker and player.
This is done by making a hand closer to 9 without going over (face cards = 0, aces = 1, all other cards worth their point value). First two cards are given to each side, and if there’s a 8 or 9 total on either side and then the round is done (a natural). If neither side gets it, then there’s is a drawing scheme which is laid out by the casino. All in all, just bet banker and it is one of the best bets you can do in any casino!
Well, I'm sure you know that not every shoe is a Banker shoe, right? A lot of shoes are Player shoes, so if you bet ONLY on Banker during those shoes, you are going to lose A LOT of money! Betting has to be according to how a shoe is running in order to make some money. You can't just always bet on Banker regardless of how the cards are coming out. That is neither a smart nor a proper way to play baccarat.
I would recommend feeling out the shoe, and not just sticking with one or the other. If player keeps popping up ride that player wave and vice versa with bank.
@Captain Obvious Also wanted to add, this is *NOT* the version of the casino game you see James Bond plays in the movies. That is the European version which actually involves strategy. The North American version of the Bacc. casino game has stripped away all the decision save on which hand you wish to wager on (I *think* there's a neglible difference in odds between the two).
very simple, just prepare to lose a ton. Win then you are really lucky! Lose Thousands of $$$$, within 30 mins.
@@Dancer810 let me guess you are one of those who studies the board to figure out what is going to be the next hand. Guess what. It means nothing. The casino wouldn’t put it up there for you if it actually helped you. Why do you think you don’t see the same type of board on blackjack? Yes some shoes player will win more but overall banker will win slightly more.

I stayed at Aria in June of 2021 and had a great experience. Staff was friendly everywhere we went, room was very clean, and I love the smell there. I love the lobby bar and every restaurant there that we tried was great. It makes me sad to hear others aren’t having the same experience.
This was a nice review of that beautiful suite. It’s no wonder you thought the Aria was great. You also will get good service as a Gold member. I wonder if the average person with lowest tier in standard room would feel the same way.

I went last year for 1 night complimentary that i got from myvegas app and i was the lowest tier. I got an amazing room (not suite) with strip view and the room was very clean. I loved it there and cant wait to go back.
I appreciate the video and like the restaurant reviews but in my opinion the management has caught onto Pompsie, Ruby, and other YTers and are not exposing them to what the ordinary guests might experience. Having said that I don't blame you for taking the upgrade, I just don't think it gives you a perspective to determine if Aria is slipping in quality.

@eric you’re right. I got mgm rewards and I get free 😊arming and free rooms all the time. It pays to be their rewards members. I’m sure Ruby gets upgrades cuz she gambles a lot. UA-camrs aren’t the only ones that get free things or upgrades. Gamblers and frequent Vegas visitors do too
Suite only good if you have more people in your group for an inhouse party otherwise treating it like any other room because I didn't go to Vegas to get stuck in the room.
Unpopular opinion but I preferred my stay at Aria better than my stay at Bellagio. I used a 2 night MyVegas reward for both. Aria had the cleaner room, better vibes, and better service overall.
The only thing I noticed when I went a couple months ago was that they stopped serving drinks in nice glasses and also stopped providing frozen drinks (Miami vice, piña colada, etc.) in the casino - which was one of the small charms for me. There weren’t very many waitresses either, but it was PACKED.
Yeah, with the higher table limits I expect glasses. I had the same issue.
One of my favorite hotels to stay in Vegas! I've stayed here more that 15 times, and never been disappointed. I love the rooms/ suites, game floor, and definitely the food options. It's in a great location to site see other properties. Highly recommend this hotel along with Cosmo and the Wynn. Another great video Ruby! Keep them coming!!

Should have done the video on a standard room to give a true assessment of the hotel experience. I'm sure the hotel was aware of your you tube site and gave you the upgraded suite and pampered you during your stay at the resort. I don't blame you for taking the suite, but your opinion on the hotel doesn't mean squat to me.

Phew! That video title got me worried! I had a lot of good memories at the Aria and didn't want to see it go downhill. I stayed at the Skysuite for my 30th birthday and it was my best Vegas stay ever. Heck, just the heated bidet alone was enough to make it my best stay ever. I'm glad to know that they're still providing the same level of excellent service.
Just make sure you’re in a sky suite because standard rooms are a different story.
The corner suites at Aria are very nice and relaxing. I love the Aria its a great property to stay at
They soooo far away from the elevator core though. You feel like you're walking a mile from the elevator to your room.
Came back vegas yesterday and stayed at Aria. It was beautiful and good service. Didn’t have any issues at all! My husband loved it compared to other hotels on the strip. We stayed a standard room.
Not gonna lie, but I'm really disappointed by this video. I was hoping you'd be in a standard room to truly show us the condition of one of their rooms there. However since you were in a Studio Panoramic Suite, I don't think it truly gives us a fair assessment of if indeed the Aria has truly gone downhill.
I'm not saying you shouldn't have taken the upgrade, don't get me wrong. I'm an MGM Rewards Gold member too. But as far as giving us a fair assessment of the Aria, I think it was a flop unfortunately.
I am with you on this. Show the rooms the average vegas person will get. Save the upgrades for a different video.

When I got a upgrade to that similar room after realizing how nice it was I immediately added another day. I called it a day early both nights to enjoy how pleasant and enjoyable the room was. Watching this makes me wanna book again!!! 😎
You got a updated room. I just left aria and the standard rooms are in extremely bad shape. Service, as you stated, is still very good but this ain’t 5 Star rooms. Period.
Not all of us would get an upgrade like you. I would like to see a normal room.
As MGM Gold members, we also had different experiences with Aria. Our first visit last year was pretty nice. Not sure if it was a standard room, but the room was very modern & beautiful. However, after our 2nd stay this past August, the quality totally took a dump. The room was definitely substandard. Smokey smell for being a non-smoking room, tablet was dead & would not charge, view was the roof top & tv got no reception possibly due to its location. After complaining, we were moved to another “standard” room. Aside from that, everything else was great. Sounds like upgrading is a must.

Wow we were in Las Vegas January 2020. My Daughter was there with her friends for her 21st Birthday, just before Covid hit. What a great time . Every place was decorated for Chinese New Year, just beautiful. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for the video.
I stayed there November 2021 and for a first timer in Vegas this hotel was amazing. Got a upgrade room to see the strip and Gorgeous sunrise and sunset. No complaints here. Will stay there again.

In Baccara you’re basically betting on a game of blackjack and what side‘s going to win except the tens count as zeros. The player side hits if they have a five or less typically and while the banker has more opportunities to hit, if you bet on banker they typically take a 5% commission off your winnings

Amazing review for Gold MGM members, lm not in that category. l would swim somewhere else too and pay for coffee, snacks. l guess being Gold really truly has its perks. You showed the place off in a good way Ruby. it's stunning.
I’ve stayed there a couple times and plan to twice more in the next 2 months but all of them were/are part of a promotion last year (involving comped rooms) just when Vegas was reopening in March ‘21. Just a standard king room. I enjoyed all of my stays at Aria, Bellagio and VDara.
I heard there was a brief period where Aria started to slide, but i feel its coming back. I stayed there in 2022 and 2023, no problems. Aria is my favorite resort. It reminds me of the Mirage in its hey day in the 90s. Its not too fancy, but not too cheap.
I didn't go to Vegas in 2020 or 2021, which seems to be the problem years. Can't blame them, it was not a great time for tourism.

I stayed at the Aria in October and it was good and bad. The common areas, lobby, casino, restaurants - lovely. The rooms, not so much. We had 2 rooms and in one of the rooms the 4 ft wall vent was literally hanging off the wall - like a whole person could just walk through it. The electrical plugs around the bed looked sketchy as well. The housekeeping and general room upkeep is in need of work.
I was there in January and felt the same way. I loved it also stayed two nights at Vdara next door and both were amazing

Stayed at Aria in 2020. Same thing happened to me. Booked a standard room and got upgraded to this room type. Most comfortable bed imo in Vegas.
I agree with the below of course a suite will be better. Try a room in a mid range property
its weird cause the wynn opened 4 years prior to the aria and the wynn is still top notch. the aria isnt a slouch but it hasnt aged as well as the wynn. when i think of upper tier places to stay it used to be aria, wynn, encore and cosmo. now the aria doesnt make the cut.
That's because the Wynn/Encore are the only product in my opinion for that corporation. Aria is under MGM which has a whole portfolio of hotels. The Wynn/Encore is the best product in Las Vegas--it's sheer excellence.

Some people are just negative about everything. Aria has always been an amazing stay, even I prefer NYNY as it has more of my vibe lol love aria and will stay there again.

You don't play baccarat, you just bet on which hand you think you'll win. Player or Banker. Dealer plays both hands, you just place your bet on either Player or Banker. And of course there'll be some side bets but those are terrible odds -wise
Advice if you can get a Suite like that for cheap, ask for an upgrade to Sky Suite as you will then have access to their lounge that is open from 6:30 to 10pm for free coffee, juice, decent snacks, wine.
They keep the property VERY clean. Dusting in the rooms need improvement

I read they were renovating the Tower Suites, this is definitely renovated, it's not even on their website yet as being renovated. Started there 3 times, last in last June, was just as good as the other 2 times. Love the Aria

Beware if you eat at Javier’s. They charge per coke. It’s very easy at Vegas when everything is free refill to go here where they serve coke by the bottle instead of a fountain and not realize what your bill will be. Me and a friends wound up with a coke bill over $100-part of this was they charged us for more than we drank, most of it was small $8 bottles and salty food. They have no fountain option like everywhere else

Unfortunately, we have to register as having one of those bad experiences.
We've stayed at Aria dozens of times since they opened and up until Covid, we've always had a great experience. Our last stay, December 2021 had bad service, long waits, mediocre food, and a terrible corner suite, which we had to pay extra for. Many things were broken in the suite, the tablets didn't work properly, the room was heavily worn out, terrible repairs had been attempted (caulk applied with your thumb isn't a good look), and overall it was just plain dirty.
After checkout, we've always provided feedback in their survey, which we again did this time and I let them know (politely) what specifically we had problems with during our stay. Previously, we've always received a return message thanking us for our input. This time, nothing. It left us with the feeling that they just don't care anymore.
I'm glad you had a great experience, but unfortunately they lost our business...
I haven't visited the strip in years, much less stayed there; but all this sounds like the common Las Vegas cost-reduction technique of neglecting maintenance. Hole in the wall? Squeak n the A/C? Broken chair leg? Just slap some duct tape on it and let the next owner worry about it.
It also helps if you sell the building (and the land under it) to some conglomerate, and then lease the operation back. That way the bottom line stays up--for this year, anyway--and NOBODY has any interest in keeping anything running.
And when everything finally does fall apart, at least the executives have their golden parachutes.
I've never seen the Aria not packed. Difficult to find a seat at a table game. I had to play $25 minimum craps to get a table with a spot open. Fortunately the guy shooting was doing a good job. Aria is a must stop for me. Great location. Great atmosphere.
I'm pretty sure that's one of the newly renovated rooms, so that's definitely a plus.

Interesting. Same style room design as the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills Sky Suites. $100 was a steal. The standard rooms in the "back" side of the property needed help when they first opened. It's like they ran out of money to finish them.

Staying there in March 2023 ( also mgm gold) never stayed there. Lol only property never stayed at. Excited cause your review and what I have seen in my research. Hopefully pool and hot tubs open in March like I have seen!!!! The Bardot has great happy hour (kroenburg 1664 for $5 )

I typically stay at the Corner Suite and those need repair/renovation badly. The last one leaked a puddle every time I took a shower. One of the curtains didn't open/close unless you pressed the button repeatedly and each time would move a couple inches. Had to tap the button like 50 times to open/close. Chips/dents/dings everywhere. Probably need to shampoo the carpet and steam clean the couch. Things had a "sticky" film/feel to it.
Hotel rooms always change though probably depends on availability of hotel when you go

Your lucky you got that upgrade lol. I had a regular room free from the my Vegas app. It was OK. Nothing crazy, but I did enjoy the hotel. I loved Vdara as well.
Sad to say no. would like to see a standard room as many of us could not afford a suite now . but many thanks for showing us this.

Hey Y'all. We've actually used the Sky Suites pool. But, we had a Day Bed reservation and we got the option of what pool location, and the Sky Suites pool was an option.
