I'll start believing you're JMJ from parallel universe 😜, the way you cover JMJ 's works is superb like I can believe if someone telling me these are the original JMJ tracks before the final touches here and there (noise, ARPS., weird unexplained one-shot synths 😂, etc) 👌👏👏👏 Great performance bro.
Damn, I'm so jealous how you nailed this track. I can play many Jarre pieces, but this is "spot-on". I was at the concert in 1990: Paris La Defense. Jarre played the solo part of Calypso II on the laser harp live. And then the MIDI fcked up. I don't know how many people noticed it, but he made a nice impov and moved on. :)
If you mean that sound that starts at 1:31, I don't know what JMJ used for that. It's a fairly classic sample & hold type sound. I suspect it's the Roland D50, and I got quite close to the sound by modifying preset 2-5 "Harpsichord Stabs". But I couldn't make it sound completely right so I also used Synapse Audio Dune 3 and the Roland XV-5080, both with clav type sounds and using sample & hold on the filter. It was probably the most difficult sound to recreate.
Excellent, thank you. Back to 1990! ❤ i love this song and your video is just fantastique!
sonically wonderful, very very close to the original, and played perfectly ! BRAVO!!!🤩
A vero good job guy! It felt like I was at a concert!

@@simoncarswell3515 Greetings!!! I'm a fan of the maestro myself. Are there any plans to make a space track by Jarre - Ethnicolor. ???
I've been working on Magnetic Fields part 1 for over a year! Just keep losing my way with it. I'll finish it one day!
Nailed it, I'd have put the PLD lead (laser harp bit), but this is easily one of the best JMJ covers I've heard.
Wow, nice punchy solid cover there, well done. Nailed it. Good video too.
Fantastic cover Simon, looking forward to many more !
great version !
