You absolutely should build that custom cabinet! Even if you don't use it that often, it sounds like such a cool project. Especially with that Yuji Kaida art (which I agree looks freaking fantastic).
Anyways, loved this video. I don't comment much, but these kinds of videos looking back at old games, comic books, toys, etc. are one of the big reasons I love this channel.

That start screen with Godzilla in front of the flames of the volcano is epic! The sprites of the characters and backgrounds look great too! I also never even knew this arcade game existed, thanks for sharing man!
I love the little details like Rodan and Jet Jaguar flying in the background. I’d love a modern version of this game
It kind of reminds me of some of the stages in Godzilla: Battle Legends where in the background if you're against Gigan you'll see Anguirus and King Ghidorah battling each other. If you're fighting Megalon you'll see Gigan and jet jaguar having a duel just like in the Showa movies.

Great video MIB! I never knew that banpresto made an Godzilla arcade machine! Damn shame it's Japan only and one is at G-fest, it would be so awesome to play this arcade game, regardless of difficulty!!!!

Oh, you know you want that half-cabinet... You think about it in the darkest hours of the night, Anguirus sitting there doing nothing, mocking your existence. Calling you weak for having to wonder where you'd put the cabinet.
I love your review episodes. Especially when they are full of historical information and information about your personal experience with the subject.
Do you think you might make a "retrospective" video series one day?
I'd love for you to do episodes that were kind of like sharing your memories and experiences with the Godzilla franchise over the years.
I know you've done similarly themed videos in the past (like a couple Monster Island Babbles), but I'd love to see some more like that.

I believe the professional term used for some of these special moves are "SNK style inputs"

I actually went to galloping ghosts last year with my dad and we played the Godzilla arcade game together so seeing this video is kinda neat

I remember The Galloping Ghost was also mentioned in your Top 5 Bizarre Arcade Games video! One of the only places in existence that has a cabinet of that game Chiller...
Funny enough, this arcade is just a few miles down from where I live! I take a chance to go there atleast once a year. Sadly, the last time I went the Godzilla arcade game was in repair so that's unfortunate

Man, I hope u get that cabinet built! It seems like it’s fun for the nostalgia. Also, the Gigan/Megalon level killing you when you tie makes sense, because if you die and the enemy dies, you can’t continue the level. Also, in the Internet Archive version, you don’t go back to Gigan after losing to Megalon.

I just tried this game on an emulator and holy shit it's fucking hard, I had to download the moves list pics and make a text doc of the rest and slowly learn the moves so that I can at least defeat something

Galloping Ghost is the biggest arcade in the country .... but it's the BEST arcade in the known UNIVERSE!!!
One time I was at a bowling alley and there was a godzilla 1998 arcade and I played it, I Started laughing cuz of the music and the voice actoring that came out of the game. It was basically a pin ball game but Zilla (godzilla 1998) themed.
Had a chance to play this in a old arcade in my hometown back in 2001 I remeber beating it in 12$

This game is currently at the Santa Cruz arcade on the broadwalk, but might currently be under repair.

What a good old treasure but also a rage inducing game. Despite it being a rage game, the sprites looks absolutely terrific and smooth honestly an arcade game that’s perhaps ahead of its time.

I know everyone wants remakes of the Pipeworks trilogy, and I do as well...but I wouldn't say no to a compilation of this, Battle Legends, and Kaijuu Daikessen
