Can you explain why LS1, 2 and 3 engines have a tapping noise at cold start up….. This is very common amongst us in the Corvette community… It goes away when the temperature rises… Great video topic!
@@WilliamN5607 yea I’m referring to the lifter ticks on cold start ups …. In the Corvette forums it’s like almost all LS1 engines do it. Recently, I bought a can of B12 fuel system cleaner… I swear now I hardly hear the ticking. Is it related to the valves ? I don’t know but it’s common. A video would be great!

Piston slap usually but depending on mileage/usage it could be lifter tick
