At the beginning it can be so frustrating to be on IVAO. Even if you are already a pilot in real life. You need to find the aerodrome charts of your airport. In game they ask you to enter your callsign without special characters. They want you to file a flight plan for national flights. Sometimes there are several other hurdles to take. After everything is finally setup, the ATC leaves the Airport where you decided to take off. And you have to do everything again.
Very little! You may lose two or three frames at a major international airport full of traffic, but the MTL models are very easy to run, cause minimal slowdown.
My saitek flight panel suddenly freeze and cannot connect with msfs2020 after installed ivao altitude. Then after uninstall ivao altitude and reinstall saitek flight panel software, all the saitek panel going work well.. It seems ivao altitude conflict with saitek driver and take over the connection.. I dont know how to fix it. I want to play msfs2020 with my saitek panel and going online with my friend in ivao.. Can you help me?
Bro, thank you a lot, what happen to me was crazy, yesterday i try to start up the MSFS but the shoes a message that says that i needed to puta disk but i buy the online version , so i need to uninstall and install again the msfs, and whit that i lost the Pilot UI, but whit your video i recover the Pilot UI again.
Im having issues with seeing other players. I did everything correctly, atc works, but I cannot see players. When I launch core it isnt operating (I check in task manager) When I launch it again it says it already launched, if I dont close that warning its in my task manager but I still cant see any planes
Load Core once, it is not supposed to do anything or appear, just sit in the task bar. Load up at an airport with active traffic, it should all work. Worse case just reinstall.
@drawyah thx for the great tutorial. It pretty much worked out for me. I am experiencing a problem with the Altitude Client though. If I have an active frequency set to COM1, it sometimes happens, that the client randomly changes frequencies. I don't exactly know why it does that, but it is really annoying, especially when you don't notice it and miss an ATC call. Do you have a solution?
Of course on Windows it will prioritise the active screen, which is for the most part the simulator itself as the GUI is separate and not baked into the simulator. Dual-monitor setups are handy or there are tools that let you force IVAO over the simulator.
When you use the frequencies, can you manually enter the frequency that atc tells you in the airplane on the comns panel or do you have to open the ivao pilot client window and switch to the frequency (tower, ground) from there?

Before I used FSX with many hours of flight on IVAO, I bought FS2020 but among the many things I can't set up is air traffic. I use X plane 11 and I just switched from the old X-Ivap and TS2 to the Altitude software. Everything is working in order except the weather. There is no weather loading whatsoever. Any idea as to why is that and how to fix it ?

My opinion, if you can, grab a 3000 series GPU from Nvidia, worth it. RTX 2070 super is the best Price to Performance ratio at its MSRP price. Should get a smooth experience with it on high end, and for CPU an AMD Ryzen 7 3900x should to just fine, 16GB of ram+ as well.

Hello my ivao just installed but they both have a lock in the corner of the desktop icon and I can run the client but not the core... when I run the core it says this application is already running however I can’t see it running and I’m loaded in at egll and there is not atc am I doing something wrong
The core you don't see, it always hides away. Not every airport has ATC, Heathrow is 50/50 and therefore you may be on UNICOM more often than you think. Ultimately comes down to avaliability.
Awsome video as always! But I'm doing something wrong I hope you can help. When I open the IVAO pilot client, I press to "add a flight plan" (Big red button on top) and then go to the link. I already created a plan with simbrief so I planned a flight in IVAO. But when I click on "Fly now" option to upload a my plan to the client nothing happens. Just a few quick questions, if I use full IVAO pilot to talk to ATC, how do you manage to do push backs without tuning to the original ground twr in the msfs2020? When I try to do Push to talk setup it instantly jumps to ready and whatever button is holding it down just permantly holds it on, meaning im consistantly broadcasting, any way of stopping this?

Altitude doesn't offer the possibility to set a PTT on your yoke or joystick yet, this feature might come in the future though. However, you can manage to make it by using an additional software, Google will inform you better than me for this :)

That's very odd, I know a few people that use Saitek on IVAO and have also used it myself at times. There shouldn't be any conflict!

Ensure that your Altitude frequency and in-cockpit frequency match.

You can enter it manually in the plane and the client recognizes it.
With the PTT key, I have used Caps Lock but I really don't like it. I'd recomend for y'all to use the Right CTRL key instead

Make sure that the airport has traffic with the IVAO Webeye.

Turn AI off, you don't want it to create conflict with your flight. Just thank the controller once you're at gate and disconnect.

Make sure that your callsign filed matches exactly the callsign you are logged in with.

How did you manage to get the Liveries for the AI stationary Aircraft? Did you use AIG?
It's all IVAO traffic which makes use of real-world liveries.

Just spawn at any gate. You can check WebEye to see which are free. Just so long you're not on an active runway you are free to connect.

No, you don't need IVAP. Look for an active frequency.

Make sure the frequency has turned blue. Worst case re-connect and change the SHARD server.

Unfortunately IVAO (or VATSIM for that matter) is not compatible with Xbox. You can only do online ATC on PC.

AI is all off. IVAO uses its own which is separate from MSFS.

DLL errors are usually linked to Direct X. Check which version you have installed.

Check your callsign, make sure it matches the one you've uploaded.

After getting permission I tune to ground in MSFS for the purpose of pushback before immediately tuning back to IVAO.

Try running IVAO as Administrator. Perhaps a Windows Permission thing where the window loses focus with the key selected.

Make sure you are at an airport with traffic. If there are no pilots near you, none will appear in the sim.

VATSIM does not have modelmatching. All it has is the default A330 models and generic liveries.

Run Altitude as administrator.

Is the IVAO software showing only players who are connected to the server or will i see as well live traffic an live players witch are online in the sim ?
IVAO will only show people using the IVAO network.
In mfs 2020 you Can choose to have ai and live trafic. Do that have to be turned on or off?

You need to load the IVAO Core before loading the Client.
Once you download IVAO, do you always have to use it or can you switch between flying in MFS multiplayer normally and IVAO? I wanna try it but I don't want to have to uninstall it if I wanna play with friends!
IVAO is standalone, if you don't want to use it on an occasion you don't run the tool and can use built-in multiplayer!

The IVAO chatter is displayed in the center of the FS2020 display. Is there a way to hide that?
Perhaps the IVAO settings, otherwise I'm not 100% sure. Maybe disable MSFS tips?

Sounds like an Antivirus/Firewall conflict. Check your settings and allow to bypass.

In options/settings you can set a PTT key. I use [CapsLock] for mine.
Altitude doesn't offer the possibility to set a PTT on your yoke or joystick yet, this feature might come in the future though. However, you can manage to make it by using an additional software, Google will inform you better than me for this :)

No. Turn multiplayer off. IVAO load aircraft in through its own server.
@@Drawyah I have AI traffic off and other players off, I do not see any IVAO traffic on MSFS. I'm sitting near the runway and compare webeye and IAVO TCAS with MSFS.
problem solved. de-install altitude, re-install altitude and pay more attantion to hit the msfs folder.
Hello, I just started Msfs and played IVAO, when I wanted to connect, it told me that my account is suspended. I’ve done nothing bad, I just started it for the first time. Shall I make a new account?
Have you used IVAO before? It could be the account is suspended for inactivity which you can reactivate with no issue.
Thank you Drawyah, but I solved it. It turned out that I registered with an invalid name, I had to contact IVAO to help me rename my account.
Hey drawyah! I have a question. What happens if somebody disconect from ivao in your middle of the flight? For example my flight is EGLL-EHAM, and i am at 20.000ft and ready for descent for landing and what happens if EHAM app or EHAM ctr will disconect? How cand i land?
UNICOM, communicate with other pilots and work with them to descend and land.

How can i see the MTL airplanes in the Simulator
Check the IVAO Webeye for airports with traffic. They will appear in-sim.
I can’t see any other aircrafts even though there is lots of traffic voices and on web eye and I start the pilot core and alto duet clients just as you said
