It's absolutely insane how amazing this video was, and yet it's one of the least viewed GDC videos. I can honestly say that this video will always have a profound affect on my life in one way or another.

As someone who has grown up in business I take most of this knowledge in the first part of the video about cash for granite. Well said.
Don’t count your eggs before they hatch.
    Pay your dang taxes.
Don’t worry about paying less taxes just worry about making more money.
First thing you pay when things get tight? Your employees. Can’t make money without employees and they deserve your business’s money more than anyone else.
    Then pay your taxes.
Did I mention you’ll have to pay taxes?
Now go make your money make more money so you can pay your taxes. :)

Very high-level stuff... I would hope someone starting their own gamdev business or moving into a position to manage one has at least this level of business experience.

There isn't much actual information in this, but it's still ok to remind yourself of the correct mindset and psychology. How many people burn money quickly for example, even if they know better, because they want fancy equipment or way too many employees?

Wish there was a way to like videos that are embedded elsewhere, videos like this are losing a lot of likes in this way.
