      Wonderful! People underestimate the emotional / confidence part of being an artist. Sure, there are more skilled artists out there. But artists tend to be their own worst critic and can be the main blocker for releasing their art. One of our business values is progress over perfection. Something that you think is a throwaway could really connect to a non-artist. Take risks and put stuff out there into the universe. You'll be surprised with the feedback you can get once we get out of our own way if that makes sense :)

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому +3

      To answer your question specifically since I don't think our packaging video addresses 20 cards, I would recommend shipping them in a larger rigid envelope that you can fold over to create more cushion, or a small box. Because 20 cards are still relatively light, it shouldn't increase the shipping cost that much if you ship in a small box, and it's a better unboxing experience for a VIP customer :). Hope this helps.

    What I need is guidance on buying a color printer that isn't going to break down after a few months/couple years, or have cartridges that are only good for 3 or 4 print jobs (of a few pages each) before they start acting weird (and are unfixable through normal alignment/cleaning options) or just quit working altogether. Is it better to buy in a store than online? Which brands or individual printer models (on the market right now) are absolute no-nos? Help?

      @@EasySundayClub Thank you Cathy for sharing. Could you say the your better selling are art print? or it depends for example of the collections, seasons, etc?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому

      @@marcelaolivares3320 I still sell more prints even though it may be counter intuitive since you can buy unlimited number of cards but you only have so much wall space. I think it's because my card collection is relatively small compared to my prints collection. That said, I have a few card designs that have made more sales in $ than most of my prints because they sold more in quantity.

    Do you have any tips on selling cards for someone trying to be more sustainable? 💕 I'm trying to be reasonable with my pricing, but a lot of the more sustainable material options add up in costs

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому +1

      I hear you. We made a video on more eco friendly packaging options that we've switched to here: ua-cam.com/video/GezOWESn0Z4/v-deo.html. There are also card stock made of recycled materials that you can use to print your greeting cards. It does bring up the cost a bit but since we can buy in bulk, we can still retain healthy margins.

    Hello, thanks for the videos!
    I’m wondering if you know how to work with American Greetings or like brands? It’s a dream of mine to one day have greeting cards in a store.
    Your work is amazing and I so appreciate your time. :)
    Best,
    Cori

    Hi thank you this is really helpful its my dream to design and sell my own cards. So many ideas in my head but I'm not creative. I'm confident with wording but not the art side, any ideas would be so helpful. Also how do you print the words inside the cards any tips please?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому

      maybe calligraphers and hand letterers sell cards with only words on them. check out Emily McDowell :). To print the words on the inside, you’ll have to feed the card stock into the printer from the back side. I think some printers can handle that automatically.

    Just one question idk if it will get lost:
    You say 12 designs, say if i got a line and its used for each of the freeting crad (ie picture and slogan) woul di just make 1 of each event so 6? then 6 more or would them 6 be better kept as its own line lets say the usp then also have 12 cards

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому

      not sure what you mean by “line” here. can you clarify?

    • @Jason-ee1xz
      @Jason-ee1xz 4 роки тому

      Easy Sunday Club sorry from uk. By a line I mean - a collection. They would all look the same bar the message ie happy birthday, thank you, congratulations etc. So would you say putting them aside to try and get 12 solid cards made.
      From your opinion what would be the amount before setting up shopify.

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому

      @@Jason-ee1xz no worries, we say line in the Us too. I would keep all 12 together as initial collection. the number 12 is not a hard fast rule, can be less can be more, the key is to keep the style of design consistent because it's more attractive as a new shop with limited selection. If you're just starting out, I would start selling on marketplaces with existing customers like Etsy first or similar in UK because with Shopify you have to pay $29 usd/mon for their basic plan and drive all the traffic yourself. Shopify makes sense down the road when you already have customers or audience.

    Also, you say greeting cards are not enough. What else do you suggest to add? Do i concentrate until i got the cards solid until i move on to the next item?

    • @EasySundayClub
      @EasySundayClub  4 роки тому +1

      100% absolutely focus on a single type of product. Adding a new product will dilute your energy and attention. New product ideas often come once you start selling your first thing and gather feedback from customers. Making/cards will be a learning process that can help you get better once you move onto the second.
