    I love that you made a sensible decision to take a break! Pro athletes will take anything from 2 week to 2 months (!) off after a season or big race (Eliud Kipchoge does 2 months after a marathon!)

    I also have a hip injury. So annoying. I do dry needling and it helps so much with running and working out. Hang in there, Lucy. You inspire so many of us.

    it’s hardest for high achievers to do less or do nothing or to take a break. It’s always your choice but rest will help you recovery both mentally and physically and doesn’t change your value or all the amazing things you’ve accomplished in 2024!!❤

    I do crossfit and I have a hip injury as well, its the most annoying injury cause it can flare up with any movement.. truly feel your frustration lol.

    Thank you for showing that it’s okay to only run 3k sometimes. I’m training for a Hyrox and I’ve felt bad recently that I can’t run the distances my training plan suggests because of an injury! Seeing you do 3k has made me feel so much better about it!

    Hi Lucy, sorry you are suffering with your hip. As for running stop the impact by changing your running shoesfor example I use ON running after cartridge trouble almost ended me running again. The impact all happens under the shoe it doesn't affect your joints. Yes get it sorted but be aware of the design of shoe&how that impacts your body. Hope that helps you?

      Hey! Ahhh yeah my shoes are all ok! This is a long term 13 year injury so just flares up on the odd occasion and I have raced a lot this year!

    I love your videos! But I remember you mentioned possibly trying for a baby soon, please remember that retinol is super dangerous in pregnancy!

    It's clearly visible how much you are struggling mentally to accept your injury. You are a high achiever with amazing results, but pls do a little work on accepting your limits and perhaps your defeats. Otherwise, it will eventually be your breaking point. You are a badass gal, an amazing athlete, but... take care of your body and mind, too = it is connection.

    I hope you really take some time off, really off from running, maybe more than 1-2 weeks 🫣 I mean even if 60km is a normal week, 44km is a lot of pressure on an injury.
