Some of the links I use are commission links - these help me out a tiny little bit in terms of commission, and don't affect you in anyway! It means so much to me if you do decide to shop through them!
Lucy - I watch all of your videos but I really vibed with this one! So informative and interesting and you look so relaxed, happy and just calm and content. Love this for you - thank you for always being such an inspiration!!
HAPPY WEDNESDAY UPLOADDD!! I hope you love this video, really diving into how to balance running + lifting 🎉
Amazing video Lucy, as usual 😊 love the new garage gym!!
A quick feedback on the camera angle - the vertical wooden panels on your wall have a pattern that is a bit straining to the eye. It made it difficult for me to not squeeze my eyes when watching the video if it makes sense 🤣 just my two cents of course. You're amazing! X
what a wonderful vid! I have loved to run since I was a teenager, but started incorporating strength training a few years ago after starting to follow you and watch your videos. I am so much stronger than I ever believed I could be, you are a true inspiration to all young women! < 3
Hi lucy, i love watching your content, your workout programmes are realistic and inspiring. Seeing your peform, naturally as well being so strong is great to see.keep up the good work pretty woman💪🫶✨️🥰
That calorie calculator gave some pretty extreme low calories maintaining and for weight loss, I needed about 1900 cal to loose 6kg on MFP and that weight came off very quickly so those numbers were a bit scary to me! I’m maintaining at about 2120 atm which is comfortable and sustainable, I will up the calories more if I start distance running again
I loved this!!! Really informative and great tips! X
I’ve been back running since January and have built up some miles each week around 20-30 miles a week I’m running. I don’t know what it is but no matter how slow I run I can’t get my heart rate to come down and always seem to be running in zone 4 or 5. Do you have any idea what this could be or any tips thanks X
Love your energy, great video very informative 🙌🏻
You explain so well. It is an easy way to Learn with you. Please more vídeos like this ❤
on time 🎉❤ thanks! the woop is only in UK 😢😮
Really helpful video, thanks!
Great video thank you
For the woop, do you have to manually track what kind of workout you're doing?
How often do you take test days and I’ve heard negative things about the whoop
Where do you get your running glasses from!?
Would love to try the whoop! But it your code doesnt Work outside the UK 🙃
if you ever come to greece please let me workout with you you are so special
Do you mind letting me know your height and weight?💛
Yeeeessss the hybrid life! 🏃🏻♀️🏋🏻♀️💪🏼🤩
I’ve been lifting for years but have just started training for my first half marathon🥹 Really relating to you in just finding enjoyment in moving our bodies different ways. Thanks for the pointers-was curious how you manage it all as I start running more but not wanting to leave lifting out because I just LOVE it🤗
This is giving me natacha oceane vibes in all the best ways.
Loved this video!! Thankyou🫶🫶
Recently got a whoop and it’s honestly my favourite thing ever haha!🤣
I was a gym girl before I got into marathons so this video has been super helpful for me, thank you Lucy! I am passionate about both and I honestly think the gym has helped me stay injury free for the past 5 years I’ve been running - but sometimes I find it hard to navigate the to. I also want to get into swimming this summer so would love some advice for beginners! ❤
This is really helpful. I run a lot and I go to the gym a lot as well, but sometimes I struggle to recover. I have a marathon and 3 ultras this year, so I'm trying to get it right! So far managing to finish all my races, but the training goes better than the actual race....look forward to more of your videos!
Please can you show a video of what you do for warm ups before running? 💞
You should call the gym LBs-Lucy and Ben but also spells lbs for the weights! 🤣🤣
5:10 oh bless you for this, yes- energy deficit running could lead to RED-S, hormonal disruptions, injury, catabolism, or other sorts of disharmony.
I did ball sports growing up and gymnastics, and I would always struggle during the cardio workouts sessions when my teams were just out running for an hour. I got bored and needed the motivation of chasing a ball or run toward an object in gymnastics at the right speed to be able to get up at it and start the routine. As an adult, it’s lovely to head out for a run after a stressful day at the uni. flipping through the law book.
Love your channel and how you explain things so those of us who aren’t on your level, still can understand how things are done and why technically ❤ / Scandinavian
Loved this video! Currently training for a 10k in June & a half marathon in October whilst also trying to maintain some muscle in the gym! Love your work it’s so inspiring💓🫶🏼
Definitely relating to the benefits of performance focus rather than aesthetics! Always really nice to go into the gym not caring what I look like and just lift heavy weight 😅
when you run and workout the same day, how many hours is there between sessions? or you can jump in right after one another?
I personally go straight in! But it’s personal preference for how you feel xx
I saw a video by Natacha Oceane where she said for muscle growth it might be best to leave at least to leave 2 hours between sessions especially if you're doing lower body, but for upper body I also prefer to go straight in so I don't sweat twice xx
Do you do your runs fasted
Hey! I love your videos and your podcast!! I’m sort of new to running! I did run the London marathon this year which was incredible and ive now got the goal of doing all the world majors! I do lift too, but only to help my running! I have really been struggling with recovery and eating properly. I think I undereat because I fear weight gain and then I feel like on some nights I eat so much and it reminds me of binging. Would you be able to do a video talking through any tips to help with that?
Brandin Stephens marry white girlfriend ❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Always good to have balance. Thank you for sharing Lucy 🙏🏼
Really good advice that I can actually follow. Sometimes I get frustrated with myself as a beginner because I want to do it "all" but it takes time to build that endurance and strength
Great video and excellent tips! 🙌 I got value out of this, as I have always loved how running makes me feel, but I stopped when I became fixated on the aesthetics. I am now focusing on my mental health, too, and finding a balance.
Hey Lucy! Love this video. Thank you for sharing. I've started back running. I was lifting and scared to run because I thought I'd lose lots of muscle. Not that I'm a tank but ya know just thinking that would happen. However not the case feeling good within my health and strength. Thanks for so much information you give!
Pls more vids on eating! They are great to see that you can be in a surplus while running and lifting
❤
Thanks for the knowledge it’s greatly appreciated keep motivating yourself and others blessings
Really informative and interesting video Lucy! 🙌🏻👌🏻 xxx
i got a new job and do fysicall labor now for 6 months and it took me like 4 months to get acostumed to it with my training. i had to lower my volume to 1/3 in the beginning. i was already training hard for 2 years and i still coudnt keep up the new impact it had on my body. for everyone starting out give yourself time te get acostumed, you'll get there. Now after 6 moths im lifting and running harder than before my new job.
My Garmin 265 does everything the Whoop does.. The latest Garmins probably do now
Thank you for your content. Appreciate your effort. Your very insightful.
Thanks for discount code - just got a nice discount off Gym Shark.
Ahh here she is! 👏🏼loved this. Definitely agree on the coffee thing before running. Need to implement that!
Exactly what I've been struggling with these days

I've been running for years, but recently started going to the gym, cause I want to get stronger, so this video is really helpful❤ I also go climbing a few times a week, so I often struggle to schedule my workouts😅
Hi
Will I lose muscle from fasting ?
Only if you fast for too long or do intensive exercise while fasted. I’m not a fan personally
Do you do all your runs in a racing shoe?
Nooo either 1 a week or non xx
Hi Lucy, just curious why you run and lift, rather than swim and lift - since swimming was your thing before… also, curious why don’t you cycle and lift since cycling is easier on your body.
yesss, noticed weight loss was easier when i cut out running! less of a struggle with appetite and i could put more energy into steps and weight training
