Finally got round to fitting the vader skid plate and hobbywing fusion into the capra, night and day difference from a small try.well worth doing......
Thanks for the video!! One question, Why didn’t you go for the 1200kv motor? It would offer more torque for lower speed which would help because of the high gearing on the capra
Went with 1800 as I have another in another truck and found it ample but I do get what you are saying.... I'm toying with a 3 gear transmission currently for the capra so this maybe coming soon
Hi, this is going to be a bit long winded😂, if you had asked this 24hrs before you originally did I'd have said no...... Having only really ran it in my garden a few times with some decent obsticals I was disappointed, basic changes of longer wheelbase, vader skid, trx4 shocks, fusion motor made it better, I took it to my local course and it struggled this prompted me to shelve it for a bit take a break and have a think. Fast forward a couple weeks and I opted to buy a spare time hobbies conversion kit (see exocaged rc vids on here). literally a last minute run out with a friend last night onto a very rocky area and the thing came into its own, I'm now in a bit of a dilemma as to what to do.🙈. I love the look of it and the concept. I'm going to try some different tyres next time and make sure that run wasn't a fluke. I'd say my trx-4 sport was a better all rounder than this. I got a small bit of footage I'll be posting soon enough have a watch as I was up against a sport. Realistically I've not answered your question but gave you a bit of feedback 😂👍🏻
@gaz_rc thanks man much appreciated! Well you know how it is with this hobby, being never really fully 100% satisfied, it's an excuse to try new things. I've never really liked this kind of trucks but it grew on me in the past few days and you know what? I found an RTR ran 1 time for the price of a kit and I bit the bullet! I was about to get an Enduro builders kit but wanted to try new things. My plans with the Capra are to go fast up those hills, I have other trucks for slow crawling! Well let's see how it goes. The Fusion system is pretty brilliant. I 'd like to try to get one of those in my capra. Did you have to raise the transmission as well, or just trim the link mount?

@@gaz3359 right on brotha thank-you so much. My 3 gear transmission arrived the other day, but came to realize it won't fit on the stock skid plate. Now do you think i need both items from vader, the skid plate and the adapter? I was hoping the transmission adapter would fit on the stock skid plate of my capra. Thanx for the link again. I had been searching for one. Much respect, cheers!

Did you have to do anything with the drive shafts after giving it a stretch?
Yeah I used wild boar shafts or got a set, I think the were called that drive shafts another axial vehicle and mixed and matched.

I wouldn't use anything eles now other than the fusion, all I did was trim the link and nothing else trans fitted straight into the vader skid

You can get a 3 gear with dig from what I've seen, I've just gone for the normal one.
Did you stay with the 10t pinion. Or drop back to the stock 13t ? Thanks
Stayed 10t, I was going to swap the transmission for a 3 gear but decided to part ways with the capra wasn't for me in the end.
So will the stock Capra transmission work with the Fusion on the Vader skid plate or did you use the SCX10 3 gear transmission?
Yes it's what I'm using the stock capra transmission with the fusion and a 10t pinion. I've the option to try the 3 gear I may do at some stage.

No 1.9s on 2.2 rims
Do you still have room for the dig servo?
Yes still room for the dig servo and still running it for now....
