Shaka E-Conversion - Maiden Flight In A Strong Thermal

Shaka is a flying wing, originally designed for slope soaring flightpoint.co/product/shaka-...
However, making upgrades that will widen the features of the wing is always fun. So, in this video, Shaka has got an Emax 1407 drone motor, combined with the 6x3 folding propeller and 2S 450mAh battery.
The flying weight ended up being pretty much the same as the pure glider version. So in case, you would like to go slope soaring in some difficult landscapes, the motor would be a great addition that will help to escape no lift traps.
The aftermarket conversion KITs, as well as e-fuselage KITs, will be available soon.
The second flight of this video ended up in an enormous thermal that sucked the glider upwards as a feather. Even though Shaka is not designed for thermal flying, as the wing profile requires some speed for stability, it showed the ability to handle the thermals if necessary.
