And we're back ! Here is Eleven's You Are Amazing remixed and performed by Taylorythm, that's my mate Louis and me Adrien (aka Neirbo). We're still looking for a label or any remix opportunities.
After we did Icosahedron, a guy named Eleven asked us to remix his latest track. While his style was pretty far from what we're used to listen and produce, we decided to give it a go and try to do it our way.
There's a bunch of cool hints inside the video to explain what's being done in real time, make sur you enable the annotations !

how did they get sidechain for all the synths they were playing?? does it only work for ableton?
because logic pro x only takes one keyboard for only one synth
Some out there might think, that it took them so long to figure all out, that they won't give "it all away" (share the details) in the annotations. +Taylorythm however take the extra time to make it comprehensible and so useful for many out there.... I cant tell you how impressed I am, even if it isn't necessarily sound I 'd listen to. Thank you so much for sharing how you did it and go on enjoying, making music, sharing "behind the scene" clips, make people realize how much you enjoy doing it and that it is a team effort. Love to you guys! Keep on..

I liked the video editing and that you didn't use on instrument :3 it was entertaining. But there's a weird bass that is a bit confusing, if it was up a bit in pitch I think it would work better or maybe a different sound there.

I see all your hardware listed and I can't help but wonder how they were all connected. One giant USB hub??
bobafettfanjordan no, i thik only those two launchpad and the big keyboard (novation impulse 61) are connected via USB. the small keyboard goes straight into the moog via midi, the mininova just sends audio to the mixingtable wich you can see in the minute 3:40 under the desk, and the ipad is wireless connected via wifi. im not that sure but i think they did it so.

on the mini nova, are you guys using a certain patch or is that your own created sound? I have a mini nova and besides the presets they offer on the novation website i cant find any....making them is a pain with menu diving

Hi. (: The two outputs coming out of the MiniNova are plugged into the inputs of an audio interface.. which is then plugged into the MacBook, right? Does that mean that you don't need to plug the usb cable from the MiniNova to the MacBook? Or do you need that too?
I just got the MiniNova and I'm having a little trouble connecting it to my laptop. (I'm still an amateur).
I'd really appreciate a reply as you guys seem to be good at this.

Alright, cool. I actually tried out what I thought was right and it worked great. A little reassurance always helps though, haha.
I guess the sounds can't be sent directly from the MiniNova to the laptop because of the fact that the sounds from the synth are onboard and need to be converted through the audio interface.

The MiniNova is definitely more modern than the MicroKORG. There is no right or wrong synth though. It really depends on what type of sound you want. Both synths, going for the same price, have great sound libraries built in with plenty of cool features.
I prefer the edgy sounds of the MiniNova and everything else that it comes with, but that's just my opinion and preference. (:
That's right about the audio interface. We need the usb to send MIDI info (such as clock synchronization) to the MiniNova :) I don't think you can get the audio through the USB cable and to be honest we didn't even tried that.

To those asking: The Mininova does not have a built in soundcard like the Ultranova does. So there's no way of getting audio through the USB. The USB is only for MIDI, control messages and the software-editor - stuff like that.
Really really good, so love what you lads do, great work. Not complaining but I personally feel the track is a little over compressed or maximized, it could do with more room and the vocals bringing up.

Ultranova. Can you make the audio output come through FL10, as you made the audio output come from mini through Ableton here? Thinking of getting it for that reason.

No synths in this vid, only midi samplers and controllers using sounds from the MacBook Pro. All these midi controllers are less than £250
