Watched this twice already and shared with friends, such an amazing video. I am thankful to you for sharing your thoughts and solutions on the mind set needed for USMLE. I believe a lot of us going through the USMLE journey can relate to what you said and shared. This video makes me believe in myself more and i hope it does to all those who see it. I am so looking forward to more videos on this topics.

Perfect timing Dr. Neil!! This was totally meant for me as a huge Step1 procrastinator. I was diagnosed last year with inattentive ADHD and GAD (at 28 y/o); it’s been really difficult to adjust and accept the current me while studying consistently for Step1. And I felt extremely guilty that I could have been better had I known about my diagnosis sooner.
I’d love to know your input as to how to better approach this as the ADHD can trigger the exam anxiety and vice versa.

@@y.m.505 To deny a diagnosis when I took the action to actively seek help with my psychiatrist… that doesn’t make any sense in my humble experience. I would prefer to learn how to deal with it now and better my mental health than through the rigors of residency.

Hang in there... Jut keep getting better... day by day... step by step... Let me see what I can come up with to approach the exam when anxiety comes. I have a technique that I like, but it's more along the clinical hypnosis arena...

this video has come to me at a point in time when im about to sit for step 1 one and half month from today. the few words youve said Dr Randy has inspired me. one comes out stronger on the other side after going through all hardship. fear of failure is real but can be tackled with the right mindset. was working on my stats question on ODDS ratio and RISK ratio when i came across this video. THANKYOU SO MUCH FOR THE WORDS. YOU are one of the few online docs ive seen who seems a complete human being and is not an academic geek bot! THANKS AGAIN!

Thank you so much for always standing with us, Dr. Neil. I dont know how to express my appreciation to you. I was overwhelming with fear of failure, guilty and procrastination. It's like an endless cycle and I dont know how to stop. It has been 3 year studying but I still cant take the exam. I was painfully struggling alone until I start listening to your videos. Thank you so much for being in this life Dr. Neil 🙏🙏🙏

Kudos to you Dr Neil for coming up with these videos which are unconventional yet powerful. I am glad to have a virtual mentor like you. Thank you for sharing your authentic stories and inspiring us. What I learned from this videos is that my current self sabotaging or the pts symptoms stems from their past trauma. It's important to recognize the root cause and then work on it. Thank you for helping this next gal in line :)

first thing your mcq videos are helping me a lot, I wanted to ask you a question , what if I only practice MCQ solving for my entrance exams just similar to USMLE, I don't have much time left and I can't go through theory material now as its too vast here, so can just practicing questions everyday work and take us to some decent level of preparation ? can we achive good rank with this strategy alone ?
