As pointed out in "Almost Famous," in the days of vinyl, there was something really cool about playing an LP the first time and discovering what was on there. These guys are bringing that feeling to life for a culture that's never experienced it. Very cool.
If somebody would’ve told me that I would’ve spent a considerable chunk of time watching some stranger listen to music for the first time… I never would’ve believed them. But this guy and his brother have undeniable charisma. I find it astonishing that he says he has never heard of Queen or Aerosmith… Or Janice. But I find myself grateful to be allowed to be part of their journey. I get the feeling that I will undoubtedly start thinking of them every time I hear an epic song on the radio… And I’ll find myself going to UA-cam to send them a message saying “listen to this one! Listen to this one!“ Lmao. Who woulda guessed? Love it. Keep em coming.
Exactly! I'm jealous of these young men. They had already built up a great appreciation for music of all styles before they got to experience all of these awesome songs!

I am 50yrs old and have listened to all type of music since the 70s. FYI - that is one of the guitar hero ones. My boss calls me the whitest black woman he knows, only because I listen to ALL music. I be in my office playing Journey, Eagles, White Snake..etc GOOD MUSIC has no color.
Simon and Garfunkel (sounds of silence) to Ladysmith Black Mombasa to Mozart.. music has no colour, gender, race or age! Just stumbled upon this channel in the UA-cam wormhole and immediately subscribed. Genuine reaction and positivity. !!
In 1977 I never imagined that I'd soon identify with the bar, "Every time I look in the mirror all these lines on my face getting clearer...." But now at 62 it is so true....
@@loushelton1596 I feel ya Lou! These guys have a way of making me feel super old when they listen "our music." Not speaking of color, of course, buy of demographics. Those of us fortunate enough to live through the great, great music of the 60's and 70's can see how truly fortunate we were to be on hand to witness this magic happen right before our eyes! Love these guys innocence when it comes to listening to music made back in the day, and then make a genuine reaction for the ages. Speaking of ages, I might be old, but we had the BEST music!
I never realized how amazing it is to watch someone experience amazing music for the first time. It's like listening to for the first time through someone else. Awesome.
Yea, sometimes we take music we listen to 100's of times for granted. But to see someone hear it for the first time reminds us why we loved it in the first place! Dream on!
And music shows how we can all come together. I'm a 51 year old white guy, who loves these young black men. The love of music shows how we can find common interest.
Me too, I'm a 47 year old white girl from Tennessee. Who was raised on Southern Rock and what's now called classic country. These boys has opened my eyes to music I have grown to love.
One of my better parenting decisions (among several not-so-great ones, lol) was to always respect and even embrace whatever music my kids loved. It's a win-win because they've stayed open to the old stuff and I've stayed open to the new. Even when I don't love a song, I can still appreciate the talent behind the music.
@andrew 47 year old brown drummer here. These songs have always been appreciated by many of us. I'm a huge fan of Keith Moon, John Bonham, Ginger Baker & more. . Just nice to see Gen Z taking an interest.
Hip Hop fans reacting to Rock (especially classic rock) is arguably my favorite genre of UA-cam video. Who doesn't wish they could hear their favorite band/song again for the first time. This is the closest you'll get.
I seriously tear up watching you and your brother listen to music. Like so many have said, it's weird, but I love seeing a young person so in love with life and music. I've always been moved by "Dream On" and getting the chance to experience your enthusiastic first time is contagious.
The goosebumps are the best. Apparently a study has been done on people who experience goosebumps from music often and consider themselves to love music, as opposed to people who aren’t truly moved by music and aren’t music lovers, and the non music lovers don’t experience the goosebumps and all the amazing feelings that go with it.
I remember my roommate and I getting goosebumps from Lauren Hill singing in sister act II. She started in and the goosebumps popped out on both of us and we turned towards each other with our arms out to show each other at the same time, and started crying.
I am so grateful that I experience music this way too. For me it doesn't have to be the first time or the second time if I have a song that I love Iexperience it again and again. The best is when you don't know that it's going to happen with a new song or new band and it does. Great comment.
Talking about goosebumps, I´d like these guys to react to Tiesto´s songs Adagio for strings and Elements for life. Those songs always hit my goose nerve. Btw I really appreciate those guys experiencing all the songs that I grew up listening to, I´m reliving the first hearing through them.
His face is very expressive. At first, I thought he was grimacing at the music, but as I watched more & more of his videos, I realized the music was just touching him so much that his whole body was into it! I particularly love when he starts dancing in his chair. That's when you know he REALLY gets it! Rock on, dude!
What you are doing might seem simple and yet it is so powerful- you are demonstrating how we can all be moved by the same truths. Music is the great equalizer. Love what you are doing! Also love watching your reactions to listening to so many of the songs that shaped my life- and many others- without bias. Love you!
So true! I’m nearly 50 and love ALL types of music although my 22 year old son gets embarrassed when i listen to mumble rap and tells me I’m too old to like that 😂 my opinion is if music moves you how can you ever be too old for it? 💗
I'm 58 years old and have heard this song a million times, but I wish I could go back and hear it for the first time again. I had the same reaction you just did.
I think there are more than a few parents on here like me who WISH our kids would get this enthusiastic about classic music. You and your brother are a delight! This is my new favourite channel. ❤️
I love his attitude - "'preciate y'all putting me on to new things". That's the key to life right there: an open mind and a willingness to try new things.
"you've got to lose to know how to win" is the best line and the truth. Love seeing someone get into Aerosmith. They are one of the greatest bands ever.
@@crustynuggets445 SONG HAIR OF THE DOG,, BY THE BAND Nazerath , ITS A HUGE BANGER ,,, FROM 1975 Then The band Fog Hat , There song SLOW RIDE , Its A HUGE HUGE BANGER SONG From 1976 , Enjoy some 70s EAR CANDY
@@crustynuggets445 Led Zeppelin/Aerosmith, everything they have made. Queen- bohemian rhapsody. I love the band “styx” and a lesser known one called “extreme”. Newer bands (90s-today)- Tool and rage against the machines. Both bands have powerful lyrics and the musicians are some of the greatest.
So, we’ve all gone through listening to the classics of all genres and have felt exactly what these guys are feeling….. but we didn’t have UA-cam! Hats off to you guys because this brings us all back to how we felt hearing a song for the first time. I only wish I could have recorded my reactions! ❤️
I recently learned that only people particularly sensitive to music get goosebumps from it. Count yourself blessed. That also explains why were are all enjoying this journey with you.
That’s so interesting. Every time I hear Misty Mountains from The Hobbit or The Bells Of Norte Dame from Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame I get instant goosebumps. Some times all I have to think of the song and I get goosebumps.
Ooo I forgot. My brother and I are huge Pirates of the Caribbean fans. One time in Chicago we went for a ship ride on the lake aboard the Tall Ship Windy. We quietly sang the song Hoist the Colors. We both got goosebumps and then looked at each other and instantly freaked that we summoned the kraken lol 😂.
Maybe... I think maybe anyone can, but a lot of people just don't really listen. As in just listen to music, not have it on in the background while other things are going on, distracted.
Lmao I remember when we were kids the first time my cousin ever heard me playing AC/DC while he's visiting from the city he goes "Hey, its the song from Tony Hawk!" I was shook. I grew up out where there was only 2 radio stations, rock and country and you just made your choice. He grew up an hour away with like 60 available stations in 6 languages, he could set his station to either east coast or west coast rap *specifically*. It's crazy how different some people's experiences can be even for people basically right next door
LOL, I think Tim deserves to know now. Dear Tim: Guitar Hero came out around 2005. But the music Guitar Hero uses came from the 1970s and 1980s. Including Aerosmith!

Crazy to think the younger generation is just discovering the unbelievable talent of Aerosmith, Janis and others. What a world they are entering and I hope they encourage others to take the journey with them.
I know! I push it on my kids. Music from 40’s till today. I love it all. You haven’t lived till you feels the chills shoot from your feet to your head listening to Steven Tyler scream
We are so blessed to be able to see your reactions when you listen to whatever music you like - really like, and react exactly how the music makes you feel, completely unapologetically. Thank you to you and your brother for your wholesome videos!!
To see the younger generation not only appreciate and respect the artists from all genres but to actively seek them out and get so excited when they hear these classics is PURE AWESOMENESS!
It’s actually really cool to watch someone hear this for the first time. It’s almost like I’m hearing it for the first time again even though I’ve heard it thousands of times.
It’s like I’m watching his appreciation of real music literally open up. 🥺 I’m genuinely impressed by the content this young man is producing. Also I’m wondering if he knows that the Guitar Hero songs are real songs. 😂
How this showed up on my recommendations is beyond me. I’m a middle-aged white woman raised on rock like this. So glad younger folks are open to realizing these old-timers had skill and emotion! Keep it up, guys!
UA-cam might think I too am a white woman......👀 just a black millennial classic rock fan, but then again my musical tastes are all over the place and span nearly every genre so the algorithm has no idea where to place me.
Same, 41 year old Mom and Grandmother from Vermont. I STILL drive around on occasion listening to my CD mixes of old favorites...Drive that Subaru like a 16 year old, windows down, singing my heart out!
I’m a 36 year old black woman with great taste in music. I have no idea how it got recommended, but I sure subscribed! Music is a great uniter of people. Dream on! ❤️
LOL. "Sounds like something off of guitar hero man" That's hilarious! That's where guitar hero got their hero's. From real music. Great little video and great goose bumps too! Thanks!
He really got into this song! Your reaction made my heart happy and made me tear up remembering the first time I heard it. Going to turn 60 in October and every time I hear any of these classics it brings happiness! I so enjoy watching and listening to these for the “first time”(me) with you. Blessings!

I’m with you. This kid is hilarious; so genuinely open to new music, I just want to suggest every good song I know and want to share with him. keep on listening dude, you’re cheering us up!
I didn't listen to rock until I went away to college and they had no other radio stations in the area & apple music hadn't started yet😳. Now I love it. I say the fact that the area didn't have r&b & hip hop was probably the best for my musical growth. All new things

I've heard this song a million times, to the point where I'll often skip it or change the station if it comes on. I love videos like this that make me see it in an unbiased light, like I'm hearing it for the first time. It makes me so happy to see someone discovering it. And at 2:18, I got full body chills just like it was a first time experience. Thank you for that, man

OH my goodness. That hurt my heart a little, when you said you had never heard of Aerosmith. You have missed out on so much incredible music, if you never listen to rock. I'm glad you are at least willing to dive in, and listen to it now. It is a whole other world, of music. The instruments are just as important as the vocals, and it will take you on a journey of emotions. Prepare to have your life changed.
I think it's about a cultural teaching over teaching appreciation of all genres. I don't know many of my friends that are African American know any other music or groups unless it's one they hear in a club by chance. Good to see this young man reach further into the music genres and eras to grow his sound. He probably has no idea Areosmith done walk this way either🤣😂
Watching this black kid get exposed to a meaningful rock song is the highlight of my year. Someone that’s never heard rock, getting into what it’s supposed to convey 🙌🏻❤️
This young man is pure joy, pure, pure, pure in his reactions and facial expressions...he's feeling the music deep down in his soul!!! I still get goosebumps when I listen to this song.
The best part of him doing this is not just exposing someone to different music, it's letting us remember what is like to hear the first time.

I just found these guys today! Love them already!
My new crush!
My musical taste too 😂😂😂
My spirit sistah
Colette, GOOD MUSIC is EVERY COLOR and blends into the 🌈 of LIFE! Much 💕
Simon and Garfunkel (sounds of silence) to Ladysmith Black Mombasa to Mozart.. music has no colour, gender, race or age! Just stumbled upon this channel in the UA-cam wormhole and immediately subscribed. Genuine reaction and positivity. !!
I've also passed that 6 decades mark, it's funny to hear young people speak on the "old" music, hell, I think I'm still young 😂😭
It's worse when the radio says the songs my daughter listened to are considered classics.
In 1977 I never imagined that I'd soon identify with the bar, "Every time I look in the mirror all these lines on my face getting clearer...." But now at 62 it is so true....
62 too. Know what you mean. How did we get to 62.
"Sound like something off guitar hero" OH, SWEET MUSIC-LOVING SON, THAT IS THE REASON GUITAR HERO EXISTS!
Yeah I believe this is actually on guitar hero am I wrong? I’m 45 have 4 boys 26 to 13 I saw the 1st gutar hero up u swear it’s on there.
When he said that it sounded like something off of Guitar Hero I laughed out loud. The things kids say.
🤣
Ha! And have you ever noticed how Shakespeare is full of clichés?
Guitar hero! Love it 😊
I never realized how amazing it is to watch someone experience amazing music for the first time. It's like listening to for the first time through someone else. Awesome.
YES YES YES Never appreciated the song until now!
Yea, sometimes we take music we listen to 100's of times for granted. But to see someone hear it for the first time reminds us why we loved it in the first place! Dream on!
It's fun to see a young guy give an old rock band their due. He's cool
The way he built tension in this song leading to “Dream On” is a master class in songwriting, both musically and lyrically.
He's my boyfriend.
.....well, I mean he WOULD be if he wasn't a rock 🌟 star.
youroldsweetie he must be two timing me 😉
....and vocally!!!!
One of my absolute favorite songs. And it always will be.
Dream On Marya !
Music is my first and last love. It makes this crazy world a much better place. It could do more for race relations than it does.
I would love to see Steven Tyler's reaction to you listening to this song for the first time!
He would totally do it!!!! He is such a humble man, love him ❤
I sure would love to see Tyler's reaction too! This is a masterpiece! This is music for ALL. people. of. the. world.💯🎶🎵🎶🎵💯
Absolutely! Steven would get such a kick out of it and before you know it, they would be singing together!
Talk about epic
Yeah!!!!!
My generation had such beautiful selections of music, didn't we?🙏🏽💯👌❤️👀
YOU: "Gives me some goosebumps"
ME: Me too....still after 45 years
Same here. :)

This old lady, who has been listening to this FOREVER, is so pleased to see you enjoying!
Love Aerosmith!!
I'm with music was great in the day
Same here...I'm 62 and I just love this kid!!!
Nobody cares
Ahhh memories of 1976 .. ninth grade!
As a black girl who herself loves this song, I'm glad to see him enjoy it so much.
I was a little Black girl when this song was first released, and I never knew what Aerosmith looked like, I just absolutely LOVE it!
Should we tell him that Steven Tyler is a descendant of slaves?
I totally agree☺️.
Of course Aerosmith helped break rap music with Walk this way and run DMC in the 80s
@@mtb1ltb12 🙄 Rap was already "broken" at that point.
I seriously tear up watching you and your brother listen to music. Like so many have said, it's weird, but I love seeing a young person so in love with life and music. I've always been moved by "Dream On" and getting the chance to experience your enthusiastic first time is contagious.
So glad I'm not the only one
70-year-old woman here who so enjoys this kid and his partner. I am hearing my music through new ears. What charmers these guys are.
If I had a grandchild, I'd like for him to just like this fellow. What a fantastic spirit!
I'd be proud to call him my son. Good heart and soul...
I do have a grandchild, and I tag her in all of these that I share.
I was thinking the same thing!
I love this. Sharing new music with these two is giving the gift of such enjoyment
Great comment.
bobcat8 Sowhat that would be so cool to see lists of music for different people that give them goosebumps
I read the same study. I got more goose bumps when I was young though.
Goosebumps! That's how I judge a song. If it hits me with goosebumps, I'm in.
Love you guys!
I love how he just loves music. He gives himself over to every song and always seems so happy for that new experience.
Love you!
Terra Spickerman yes
Exactly this! ❤️
So so true!
Well said.. 💜💙💚💛❤
PIPS PLAYTIME! Truth!!
It’s true when they say music is the universal language. It doesn’t matter your color, ethnicity, age, etc. We can all enjoy the same music.
cdemots123 Absolutely ❤️
100%! 🥰
Steven Tyler wrote this when he was just 16!
They're an iconic bank.
16?! Oh wow. I didn’t know that.
I thought he was 17 when he wrote it.
Fun fact, my friend is his niece... and it throws me off every time she says “I’m going to uncle Steve’s..” 🤣
This music needs to be played more, young people need to hear great music
So is Wells Fargo! 😂
I think there are more than a few parents on here like me who WISH our kids would get this enthusiastic about classic music. You and your brother are a delight! This is my new favourite channel. ❤️
Debbie Yee sameeee
Love watching this!!

Facts
My oldest boy grew up listening to this music. I was only 18 when I had him so we always say we grew up together! He still loves the good music!!
I love his attitude - "'preciate y'all putting me on to new things". That's the key to life right there: an open mind and a willingness to try new things.
"you've got to lose to know how to win" is the best line and the truth. Love seeing someone get into Aerosmith. They are one of the greatest bands ever.
There’s a whole world of rock out there you should check out. Led Zeppelin, Queen, Deep Purple, Yes, Boston, Kansas just to name a few.
Add some Punk Iggy Pop,The Ramones. The Clash,,,,,,,,
Someone mentioned Kansas, nice!
Johan Liebert I love Kansas. FYI, there is a documentary on HBO about how they came to be and it’s really good, in case you’re interested.

I love the version with Run DMC.

Definitely recommend Walk This Way with Run DMC and Aerosmith.
Oh yeah!!!
So, we’ve all gone through listening to the classics of all genres and have felt exactly what these guys are feeling….. but we didn’t have UA-cam! Hats off to you guys because this brings us all back to how we felt hearing a song for the first time. I only wish I could have recorded my reactions! ❤️
"Like the ocean waves." You hit the nail right on the head sir!
I laughed and said just wait till he sees him dance
Perfect description
If you like this you should listen to Aerosmith/Run DMC “Walk this Way”
OMG that would be perfect for this channel
Yyeessss!
That was revolutionary at the time, mixing rock and rap.
Yes! Excuse me...time to watch that right now!
First listen to the original "walk this way" then the crossover. They're both awesome!
I recently learned that only people particularly sensitive to music get goosebumps from it. Count yourself blessed. That also explains why were are all enjoying this journey with you.
For real!
Heck, I get brain tingles from it. Seriously.
I'm embarrassed to admit how many times I've watched this.
I love rewatching this!!! this is one of my all time jams!
watching it again❤😊

To see the younger generation not only appreciate and respect the artists from all genres but to actively seek them out and get so excited when they hear these classics is PURE AWESOMENESS!
It’s actually really cool to watch someone hear this for the first time. It’s almost like I’m hearing it for the first time again even though I’ve heard it thousands of times.

The instruments are just as important as the vocals, and it will take you on a journey of emotions. Prepare to have your life changed.
