Used GarageBand for years. Really didn’t know what I was doing for quite awhile until I got better internet and could watch how to use vids. Now I’ve upgraded to macs Logic. For me I’m into the natural sounds of my acoustic instruments. Well that is what I do. I jam at least once a week with friends . Hammered Dulcimer, fiddle, viola , I use to have a loaner Cello, viola, button accordion, squeeze box, banjo, upright bass, penny whistles, guitars, banjo are what will be found at sessions. If I had an electric guitar it would be one that sounds best clean. That said I do enjoy your tunes. They feel good to the ear.

For weather I use yr.no you can change the language to english type in city name and get Up to 14 days forecast. I used in Africa and here home, pretty acurate 👍

just watched the 2nd Q&A I THOUGHT IT WAS BRILL BY THE WAY A FEW YEARS AGO WE WERE ON BARBRIDGE IN MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND THE WIND GOT UP 3 SOLID DAYS WE WERE STUCK THERE BUT WE HAD PLENTY OF FOOD AND LIQUID ON BOARD SO IT PAID FOR US CRUISING FOR 5 WEEKS AT A TIME

You can convert a lot of kit to sub 24v or 12v just by changing the charger. You can also get 12v washing machine motors from the US. Sailors used to tow their laundry behind the boat, you can try that though bras might act like drogues. Takes so long to think of a dirty name for the songs Nice to see a lady's eye view of life on the cut.
Ahoy, yes I’ve changed the charger on my Wi-Fi unit 😄 everything important on my boat is 12v and I just use the washing machine or charge the dyson via the inverter when the engine or genny is running … this time of year is great though as I’m getting so much solar I have nothing to spend it on 😂 I charged my electric bike this morning while in float mode 😄 ….. knowing my bras they would end up on the canal fouling someone’s prop 😂😂

Mind you I had a call out to my brother's girlfriend of the time to do a pantectomy of her washing machine as a pair of Bridget Jones got stuck inbetween the drum and tub never had to go all gynaecological on a washer before. It was worth it for the look on her face as I pulled miles of lace and elastic out and the middle daughter went them's mams knickers. Plenty of kit runs 12v, old laptops with broken charge ports and knackered batteries can be run direct as base units. Set up several entertainment centres that way, Ideal for boat life. If you're going to rip offJMJj though you need the big speakers and twinkly light show to make the most of it...... Tea and buns Crazydave

Glad you've "weathered the storm(s)" - I always laugh when people worry about our power going out here, because that's the worst of it (granted that means heat and water pump too). We've "camped out" for 6 days at a stretch while it was -8C outside and got down to 22C inside, but it just meant wearing all your layers and putting a few quilts on while you slept by the fireplace. (We'd keep a couple of 5 gal DIY buckets in the basement with water for flushing toilets). Haven't had the power out for any significant stretch in probably 10 years since they trimmed the bush around the lines. 😉Also helped with trees falling across the road. (It's a dead-end road and we're in an old hardwood forest). But I'd certainly be more worried on a boat, and as every channel I've watched with live-aboards worrying about Dudley et al, I can see it's serious business.
It’s part of the excitement though isn’t …. That all sounds fun getting your buckets to flush the loo haha and cosying up by the fire ….. it’s currently 35mph winds here now and the boat is blowing about a lot but when it gets to 50 and 60 it feels like being on the high seas … I love it 😂😂
@@TheNarrowboatPirate I had a 500lb motorcycle in a parking lot with a tarp over it that got blown up and over its centerstand in 50mph winds once. Was laying on the ground wrapped up like a burrito with no way to grab onto it and set it upright. Pretty sure I pulled my back, but I was young and stupid (20?) and got it upright again. 80mph would start shaking my old house on its foundations though. (Nothing rocks this one unless a tree falls in the forest, which gives a thump). We're nestled in good with a hill and trees that break up all the weather. Tornadoes coming straight for us break up long before they get to this area, because it's just too lumpy/bushy to keep blowing without losing momentum. 😉
No, grey water goes in the canal but black water goes into tanks and cassettes that get emptied at Marinas and Elsan / pump out facilities along the canals
I love trying to spot your double entendre's. They are so subtle, well most of them are. Some stand out like Chapel hat pegs and poke you in the eye. I like it when you talk dirty... all that tow path mud and the grey stuff that drains out of your sink. Great. A wise move away from those trees. That ivy creeper affects the majority of trees these days and acts like a sail in the wind. Very dangerous. You can convert a lot of kit to sub 24v or 12v just by changing the charger. You can also get 12v washing machine motors from the US.
Sailors used to tow their laundry behind the boat, you can try that though bras might act like drogues.

Ahoy, yes I’ve changed the charger on my Wi-Fi unit 😄 everything important on my boat is 12v and I just use the washing machine or charge the dyson via the inverter when the engine or genny is running … this time of year is great though as I’m getting so much solar I have nothing to spend it on 😂 I charged my electric bike this morning while in float mode 😄 ….. knowing my bras they would end up on the canal fouling someone’s prop 😂😂

Mind you I had a call out to my brother's girlfriend of the time to do a pantectomy of her washing machine as a pair of Bridget Jones got stuck inbetween the drum and tub never had to go all gynaecological on a washer before.
It was worth it for the look on her face as I pulled miles of lace and elastic out and the middle daughter went them's mams knickers.
Plenty of kit runs 12v, old laptops with broken charge ports and knackered batteries can be run direct as base units. Set up several entertainment centres that way, Ideal for boat life.
If you're going to rip offJMJj though you need the big speakers and twinkly light show to make the most of it......

I liked your reply about rums. I'm a rum 'n myself and I too don't really have a favorite. But I do divide them into two categories - cheaper ones that I mix with Coke (actually I prefer Pepsi) and more expensive ones that I sip straight. Bottoms up!

Glad you've "weathered the storm(s)" - I always laugh when people worry about our power going out here, because that's the worst of it (granted that means heat and water pump too). We've "camped out" for 6 days at a stretch while it was -8C outside and got down to 22C inside, but it just meant wearing all your layers and putting a few quilts on while you slept by the fireplace. (We'd keep a couple of 5 gal DIY buckets in the basement with water for flushing toilets). Haven't had the power out for any significant stretch in probably 10 years since they trimmed the bush around the lines. 😉Also helped with trees falling across the road. (It's a dead-end road and we're in an old hardwood forest). But I'd certainly be more worried on a boat, and as every channel I've watched with live-aboards worrying about Dudley et al, I can see it's serious business.
It’s part of the excitement though isn’t …. That all sounds fun getting your buckets to flush the loo haha and cosying up by the fire ….. it’s currently 35mph winds here now and the boat is blowing about a lot but when it gets to 50 and 60 it feels like being on the high seas … I love it 😂😂
@@TheNarrowboatPirate I had a 500lb motorcycle in a parking lot with a tarp over it that got blown up and over its centerstand in 50mph winds once. Was laying on the ground wrapped up like a burrito with no way to grab onto it and set it upright. Pretty sure I pulled my back, but I was young and stupid (20?) and got it upright again. 80mph would start shaking my old house on its foundations though. (Nothing rocks this one unless a tree falls in the forest, which gives a thump). We're nestled in good with a hill and trees that break up all the weather. Tornadoes coming straight for us break up long before they get to this area, because it's just too lumpy/bushy to keep blowing without losing momentum. 😉

Hi Heidi, i thought your shower, dishwasher water goes into a grey tank and is pumped out at one of these disposal points at a marina
No, grey water goes in the canal but black water goes into tanks and cassettes that get emptied at Marinas and Elsan / pump out facilities along the canals
I love trying to spot your double entendre's. They are so subtle, well most of them are. Some stand out like Chapel hat pegs and poke you in the eye. I like it when you talk dirty... all that tow path mud and the grey stuff that drains out of your sink. Great.
A wise move away from those trees. That ivy creeper affects the majority of trees these days and acts like a sail in the wind. Very dangerous.
