She make up her badges and other pirate plunder and hides in her boat from the lightning and thunder. With rum in one hand and a mug in the other, if it cracks extra loudly, it the bed she'll be under!
Lycra bulge...you are funny. Some men wear shorts over the lycra layer to hide 'the bounce' as they run about. That electric powered boat looks good. The drone footage is good. Experimenting with it will either produce better footage, or a loss of the kit. I was out cycling on frosty forest paths near home (coastal Aberdeenshire) this morning, and after an hour indoors my toes are almost thawed out. I don't drink alcohol, never liked the taste, but a large hot chocolate was just perfect.
@@TheNarrowboatPirate I do not wear lycra as outer layer. I have padded undershorts which are worn under a pair of the tracksuit bottoms. These dry out well if I get caught out in a shower. If it's really wet I have goretex trousers but they are very hot to cycle in. In summer I wear a pair of cotton shorts over the padded ones. Comfortable and not as revealing of body contours. The main thing for me in winter is keeping hands warm. I discovered battery heated gloves this year. A game changer. Recommended.

I was along the Chirk - Pontcysyllte stretch in November, albeit on a bike. I can vouch that the tunnel towpaths are very narrow too! There's nothing like a bumpy ride in something dark and moist...
A househusbands work is never done I tell ya if its not this its that I never seem to stop and I've learnt some new skills too .Now a neighbour just dropped off 4 pounds of Apples and about 2 pounds of frozen rhubarb so Imy next job is to peel andcore them and then cook them with the rhubarb and then freeze them although I am planning a pie with some of them ...got to lurn how to make pastry next .I tell ya its all go.Now I like a glass of wine so when I'm in the kitchen I like a glass of Merlot or Shiraz,I make my own from kits. Our weather has turned bandit and we've had some spells of snowy cold weather rarely above freezing during the day and down to -12 or lower overnight. So Heidi you take care stay warm and don't do anything I wouldn't do...so lots of latitude there hun. XXX

I understand the cold - as I have said before, I do a spot of astronomy - it's absolutely lethal staying outside for any length of time on a cold winter's night. So saying, the atmosphere is less prone to turbulence, so seeing stuff like the Orion nebula and the Andromeda galaxy is worth freezing for.

I remember that viaduct and Llangollen well. I had never been on a canal boat before, and I had just come out of the RAF. my old roommate, who was well into canals, took me on holiday with them. We picked up the boat and started out over the viaduct when from our left came two Tornadoes, obviously using the viaduct as a target for Radar Bombing.
Well. Hauling shit - by foot - over an antique akveduct is of course worth documenting. (Note to myself: Shithauling in high places done, by Heidi.) The new scary design on your boat is outstanding! Love it! And... love your videos. Thanks and Keep it up!

Heidi - I'm so jealous of your and all your narrowboat friends - you have so much fun in your local area. Many times in my life I wanted to live aboard and cruise around the country - but that never worked out. I live close to the US Intracoastal Waterway; and to the St. Johns river - about 300 miles long and up 3 miles wide in some places. Keep on enjoying each and every day.

It would be interesting if you filmed the same location on the canal during the different seasons and then edited it all together, fading between the changes. A part of the canal that has trees that change colours dramatically. From green to red to snowy white - oh oh and with your fabulous drone shots to match. The drone shots might not be as easy to match up, but if you have a preset journey type function....wow, that could look stunning. Oh I’m all excited now, I wish I was there, I’d love to do something like that. Obviously it would take a long time to film everything, but I guess with a still, mounted camera on the bow or centre-beam, you could at least capture the footage and then sort through it later. Ha ha now the logistics are putting me off. It would be a big project, but at least I’d have a whole year before I’d have to really get everything together and then start editing. I’m just waffling on here, getting a bit excited about a project I’ll never do - just ignore me. LOL. 🙂🐿🌈❤️ 8:52 kinda like a location like that 🙂

Nice to see the end of the Chirk tunnel and the ramp down from the rail station. Why? I note that you have a Brompton and July 2022 my wife and I started one of our Brompton trips using our 2 Brampton’s, not electrified. We cycled over a couple of days from Chirk to Barmouth. The first day we cycled from Chirk along the towpath to Horseshoe Falls and onto Corwen. Watching your video brought back great memories of the summer sun. Ta

Being part of a community, and having buds to chill out in a pub is a big plus when you're on your own. When you have to go through those moist tunnels, how about an umbrella to help keep the jizz at bay? And then there are the dolls. Serious inflagrante delicto happening there. A real trip down memory lane - thank you so much. We used to live on a boat, at Chirk marina and did this journey many times. I'd forgotten how many times we had to pull our boat out of the tunnels, when the flow was running quickly and the water was full of leaves. Lovely days. Hope you enjoy your trip up and down the Llangollen canal. It's a stunning part of the world!

Many times in my life I wanted to live aboard and cruise around the country - but that never worked out. I live close to the US Intracoastal Waterway; and to the St. Johns river - about 300 miles long and up 3 miles wide in some places. Keep on enjoying each and every day.
i use to nip down for a wee when we were going under a bridge and no other boats were about i had 1 in canal once my wife played bloody hell with me

It would be interesting if you filmed the same location on the canal during the different seasons and then edited it all together, fading between the changes.
A part of the canal that has trees that change colours dramatically.
From green to red to snowy white - oh oh and with your fabulous drone shots to match.
The drone shots might not be as easy to match up, but if you have a preset journey type function....wow, that could look stunning.
Oh I’m all excited now, I wish I was there, I’d love to do something like that. Obviously it would take a long time to film everything, but I guess with a still, mounted camera on the bow or centre-beam, you could at least capture the footage and then sort through it later.
Ha ha now the logistics are putting me off. It would be a big project, but at least I’d have a whole year before I’d have to really get everything together and then start editing.
I’m just waffling on here, getting a bit excited about a project I’ll never do - just ignore me. LOL.

I note that you have a Brompton and July 2022 my wife and I started one of our Brompton trips using our 2 Brampton’s, not electrified. We cycled over a couple of days from Chirk to Barmouth.
The first day we cycled from Chirk along the towpath to Horseshoe Falls and onto Corwen.
Watching your video brought back great memories of the summer sun.

Being part of a community, and having buds to chill out in a pub is a big plus when you're on your own. When you have to go through those moist tunnels, how about an umbrella to help keep the jizz at bay? And then there are the dolls. Serious inflagrante delicto happening there. I hope someone is using protection. 😁

I sit hear on a cold dark night ( minus eleven outside) in western Canada not far from the Rockies at 4000’ above sea level, and I can enjoy the English canals. I’ve traveled so much of the canal and river network over the years from the 1960’s. The murals look great Heidi so much better than the vinyls and they should last for years,I hope your coping alright in this freezing weather I know it’s warm in the boat but when you have to move it can’t be good on the joints because as you age you start to feel it a bit more good gob you have a little slurp now and again xxx

A real trip down memory lane - thank you so much. We used to live on a boat, at Chirk marina and did this journey many times. I'd forgotten how many times we had to pull our boat out of the tunnels, when the flow was running quickly and the water was full of leaves. Lovely days. Hope you enjoy your trip up and down the Llangollen canal. It's a stunning part of the world!
