    My favourite pirate story ........
A tourist meets a pirate , and notes that the pirate has a peg leg, a hook, and an eye patch. The tourist asks, "So, how did you end up with the peg leg?"
The pirate replies, "Aye, matey, we was in a storm at sea, and I was swept overboard into a load of sharks. Just as me men were pulling me out, a shark bit me leg off."
"Wow!" said the tourist. "What about your hook?"
"Well," replied the pirate, "We were boarding an enemy ship and were battling the other sailors with swords. One of the enemy cut my hand off."
"Incredible!" remarked the tourist. "How did you get the eye patch?"
"A sea-gull dropping fell into me eye," replied the pirate.
"You lost your eye to a sea-gull dropping?" the tourist asked incredulously.
"Not exactly," said the pirate. "It was me first day with the hook."

Belated Birthday Greetings Heidi. There were so many references to ni@@les that I hadn't enough fingers and toes on which to keep count.
Anyway, here is my short pirate story for my favourite short pirate.
Heidi is a pirate wench who sails the inland narrows.
So brave is she to solo sail, amid the swans and sparrows.
She fears not the cold and rain despite her rising ripples.
She carries on, and wets the lips with Rum, her favourite tipples.
Inside her boat, it's toasty warm. So cosy and inviting. Her adventures on Rum Wench are really quite exciting.
Stay safe fair wench both near and far and warm your hands before removing your bra.
(With reference to your new body warmers)

Doing the ''Dreams'' of life is why we get out of bed. My thing is finding off beat places around Oz during winters and sparking up a huge fire. Ports, Cubans and a fire cooked dinner, another 8 weeks and I'm off again for another 4 months straight, living the life.

@@TheNarrowboatPirate Living in your own Universe seeking the vast depths of your mind is an amazing journey. Nikola Tesla was onto this 100 years ago.
The more you unplug from the 'World'' the more you'll discover ''Inside''
The physical body is just transport for a ''Mind'' very few will ever grasp in this life time. The stars are vast in number yet so far away. But being so far away makes the nights that much more mythical. If they were vastly closer then nights would not exist. We only see 2 worlds, a day and a night. I think there is far far more than that.
      More people need to ''Journey''
More people need to discuss their findings
More people need to share their thoughts
Sadly the idiot screen has closed that door

    An ode to a pirate....
One day aboard the Rum Wench
Her buttocks our Heidi did clench
    As her rather large shaft
    And her ginormous draft
Caused her boat to get stuck in a trench
The cold weather affected her nips
And almost froze her top lips
But this wench she just laughed
As she took out her flask
And treated herself to some sips
Shes survived lock jizz and other such frights
Cold mornings and boiling hot nights
    Duvets in the hatch
    An expensive new cratch
So this wasn't too much of a plight
With heart things to warm up her nipples
Dancing round to that tune called "Stiff Ripples"
    She's sound as a pound
    Til help can be found
Knocking back all her favorite tipples!
Tracy 🙏 😆 Well, Bob Dylan it ain't but it's the best I could do!

I’m fascinated by how narrow the canal seems to be, yet how easily you seem to steer the boat. Is it as easy as you make it look, or did you take a long while to be that good? The corners look like they are impossible, given how long the boat is, and the fact that you steer only by a tiller in the stern. You should do an episode where operating the boat is highlighted. Love your stuff.

Brings back some nearly forgotten experiences. I was sent to school in Ellesmere (and hated that awful school). But in my last year there I got heavily into kayaking. The target for all my training was the famous Devizes to Westminster race, 127 miles and we finished in just under 24hours. In those days the summit of the Kennet and Avon was dry and it meant a 2 mile portage (running with kayak). But the highlight was escaping the dreadful school each morning for an hour or so kayaking. Weekends meant longer trips to Llangollen and back (taking a tent, and enjoying under aged drinking at night). Beautiful canal, even at 5am in the winter, cracking the ice with our paddles. Pity I had to leave it to go back to the institutional bullying of the English Private school system of that time.

    Morning Heidi
A belated Happy Birthday - 21 again eh! 😂 Good to see you celebrating with Family. That sunset was magnificent, I've said it before, but you find the most gorgeous place to moor up 👍 Thank you for another entertaining vlog. Stay safe, stay happy and keep those nips warm!

    Dear TNP Rum Wench.
👍👌👏 This is the first time I watched a video about your narrow boating and I like it really very much. Because of your birthday and the mentioned nipple warmers etc. it was even more special. 😁 ;-) I definitely like your humour and your little bit of naughtiness. 😇 2) I wonder if it is possible to collect some fire wood along the channels? It could at least help to start your coal fires and save a bit money. But maybe you already do collect branches and driftwood etc.?
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.

      Dear @@TheNarrowboatPirate
Thanks for replying and especially for another heart. By the way: Here's one 💚 for you. Of course in my favourite colour because I love nearly anything that is green.
      2) Yes, I already thought that you would definitely collect sticks while traveling respectively while mooring. In fact meanwhile I already saw you collecting/foraging small sticks. But I thought that you would also want bigger ones for making your fire really burn high/hot. 😁 ;-)
      Sincerely yours.

I have been binge watching all your past videos 😁. Came across you accidentally about three weeks back. Your brilliant and I absolutely love your channel. 🦜 I didn't even know there was such a thing as narrow boating. And those canal's with all the gorgeous country-side views. With those fantasticly old bridges and lochs. I'm way over the other side of the world in New Zealand,we have nothing like it. I can see why you love England so much. She's a beautiful old country. You work so hard every day just to maintain your lifestyle and you do it with style. So thank you so much for sharing part of your life. Glad your nipples won't be nippy any longer. 😂. Happy belated birthday Heidi from a new subscriber. 🎂.

I seem to learn a new English colloquialism most times I watch your videos. I'm sure I have many that you have never heard in England. Because it is icy most of the time here I have boots with cleats for the ice and just flick them out for the ice. You don't have as much ice as here but please don't fall on the ice. How many bags of coal do you use in a week? Nice family you're lucky.

    • @TheNarrowboatPirate
      @TheNarrowboatPirate  Рік тому +2

Ahoy Richard 😃🏴‍☠️ yeah it’s been quite slippy here recently we don’t have ice shoes over here though 😂😂 I use about 60kgs of coal a week but that’s the fire on 24/7 Oct to March which isn’t so bad … other people use more or less it all depends if they leave the fire in all the time, use wood, or diesel heating too but I don’t have diesel heating just 2 fires 😃🏴‍☠️
