I am a 10 yr old girl that recently started climbing and was lucky enough to meet Pete at Ouray Mountain Sports today with my Dad. Pete sold me my first pair of climbing shoes and i had a chance to hear his story about climbing El Capitan. He was so helpful with me today and an inspiration even prior to watching this video. Thank you Pete for your help today, you inspire me to get better at climbing and i can't wait to go back to Ouray and hopefully go on a climb with you someday.
I saw the Gimp Monkeys yesterday at the Adventure Film Festival in Santiago de Chile and when i heard "can you get me my leg?" I though "are you kiding me?". One of the best, if not the best, stories i've seen about life, self limits and climbing.
If you get a chance to hear Craig speak live I would encourage it. I attended a father/son event last night. A bunch of us dads took our sons who happen to be on the same football team together to the event last night. Craig was the keynote speaker. His story will shake you at the core, make you really appreciate how fragile life can be in an instant...but how strong the human spirit can be. Craig is amazing. The gimp monkeys rock. Truly inspirational.
The old school arcteryx videos are 👌. I wish they would make stuff like this for their TikToks. I miss the old archteryx. Very inspirational. Good for people, insdisty and the outdoors.
Mad respect! The accomplishment in itself is quite astonishing. But as for these guys' mindset, this is where it gets truly inspirational for me.. Just incredible stuff, hands down humbling.
"One arm and the right attitude will be two arms and the wrong attitude every time" These guys have totally kick-started my 2013 - what an inspiring film!
Awe inspiring... I remember Pete as a very young boy, and even then he seemed to prefer going without his prosthetic and did amazing things. So happy to see him again after so many years.
Had to watch this for KNES 114A beginning rock climbing CSUF with Professor Alain. This is my last class as a scholar and now I'm going to graduate! Good luck to any future students taking this course or similar course! Climb on!
do you think its possible to climb el cap then base jump off? that would be cool! i mean climbing it is awesome anyway, just thought it might add another aspect? cool video guys!

I have Spina Bifida and I'm currently waiting for some new foot wear but when I get it I can't wait to try climbing!
This was my favourite film in the world tour of the Banff Film Fest this year. Love it.
Feels so good to see this! People are still good and it warms my heart to see that true spirit lives on. Kids, learn from this.

I wonder if they knew that Gimp is a yiddish word for penis if they still wouldve named this that. As is schmuck & putz.
