  • Tips and steps to give you ideas when looking for adding your sub floor to the van build. I'm no expert, but completed the sub floor after researching and learning how to do it. I'm here to share my thoughts on the experience.
    Van: Nissan 2500 NV
    Sub-Floor 2x2, 3/4" plywood and Havelock Wool
    Glue: Lockright Power Grip (Lowes)
    Screws 2" wood screws

You probably can see it is getting dark outside and I was suppose to be packing for a weekend camp trip but the floor took ALL day! I had to get up a few hours early to pack the van for the trip! Thanks for watching. It means a lot to me knowing you are watching my videos!

A lot of dumps or recycling centers for construction materials may even have paint for free as long as you are not too picky about the color.

Yea.. the stuff I got from Lowes was $2.50. Can't beat that! I went to the habitat store and they were a lot more

Looks sharp! 3/4" is heavy stuff, and you did a nice job cutting around the wheel wells. Wool is the best.

I'm getting prepped up for the flooring now. I realized i can't wait to the end to put the final floor in. I can't build my bed or anything until the flooring is finish, so that's my next step. Thanks for watching. I actually love the smell of the wool too. I grew up on a farm and it smells natural for me. Thanks, again! I appreciate your loyalty! to my channel!

@@ATravelingAddictSolo I think synthetics smell a whole lot worse and don't do a good job. Only wear cotton and wool. I have some synthetic rain gear though.

I have friends doing that. It was important to me to be able to park in a regular parking space

The reason I liked your choice is it is the perfect size to tow a small sailboat and assorted water craft. It's a nice compact little unit.

He was there for some of it. He won't be here for the final floor I don't think. My teenage son is giving me a hand which is nice!
