Great to hear your perspective, I loved this book and the sequel even more. I think the author kept a lot of things not explained as she means to reveal more in each sequel. My personal eye roll was the stoppy starty nature of the romance itself, more than anything else. I discovered Romantasy because of you and my absolute favourite so far is Lysette Marshall's fae Isles series. Her other books are pants but these I loved so much I am rereading them. Kindle unlimited is a good idea not to get bankrupt.
