Thanks for sharing your routine! I try to fit reading, journaling or meditation into my evening routine. It brings a sense of calm and helps me wind down after a long work day. 🙂
i’m so late i know but i recommend reading, doing some stretches (nothing too strenuous) or watching something (normally while i do something like journalling)
This was soooo very helpful. I just got out of a counseling session where I talked to my counselor about managing my time after work, and allowing myself to enjoy work days. I have anxiety and obsessive thoughts, and I struggle with all time management because I have ADHD. I have fallen into the habit of just wanting to shut my brain off after being at work all day, but it has turned into a fear that I won't get enough sleep if I do *anything* after work because my mind tries to tell me I don't have enough time. This is a realistic routine that feels calming and is focused on self-care. It isn't overwhelming at all! Thank you so much for this! I've just subscribed ☺
Thank you for taking the time to comment - I appreciate you so much that made my day! 🥰 I’m so glad you found the video helpful, I truly think we only need to do a couple of tiny things for ourselves each day and it can make such a big difference ❤️
This is awesome! So happy that you spend so much time revolved around food! I think we can all spend a bit more time reflecting on what we're putting in our body which will ultimately make us a more productive person in the long run! Cheers to you and your ritual!
I love spending a cozy, wholesome evening at home to wind out from a busy work day. One thing I enjoy that helps be unwind is reading (I personally love fantasy stories) 😊 But you reminded me of the joys of a warm bath and the simple pleasures of lighting a candle, thank you 🙏💜
I'm only one minute into this vid after searching up videos to motivate myself to get some stuff done this evening as I'm tired and sat having a cup of tea after getting home from my job living in Canary Wharf whilst my boyfriend is currently out at after work drinks... something about this feels super relatable 😂 Automatic subscribe!
I do lavender pillow spray to trick my brain into being sleepy. Can be any smell as long as your consistent on spraying it before bed! Reminded me of what you've done with your teas:)
Just got out of school here in Germany and now working a 9-5 and at the moment i am just struggling with getting anything done after work... Thanks for the Vid!
I honestly wasn't aware of how much I need to learn wind down routines for work days. 6 years of corporate job and I keep asking myself to seize every hour of the day instead of aiding stress and tiredness :)
Finding the balance between the corporate grind and fully resting is so hard - I feel you! ❤️❤️ all we can do is keep working on looking after ourselves when we remember 😂🫶
Can you tell me who the happiness guru is you mentioned? As lovely as your accent is, this southern girl from the USA cannot understand everything you say. Lol Thank you ❤
Hi Ellen, I just rewatched this video cause i could not sleep tonight. But I am genuinely confused. This video is recorded a year ago but the title says it 2023? 🙈 I don't get it... maybe I am going crazy 🤷♀️😅🤣
@@ellenalicemiller your fallvideo van 2022 says also 2023... why doest it do that? So rare... but I can believe this feels like another lifetime... it seems that way...
If I’m honest I kind of make up the quantities as I go 😂 but I’m gunna document it next time I make it and share it properly in an upcoming video! ❤️❤️
What are your favourite ways to wind down after a day of work? Always looking for new ways to reset for the next day xxx

@@jordanlaesch such a good idea. I typically meditate/ journal in the morning but I love the idea of it winding you down at the end of the day! xx

Need to get better at reading in the evenings instead of going straight for TV - thank you for reminding me! xx
Im 19 and just getting into the 9 to 5 routine this is really helpful and calming
Oh I’m so glad it’s helpful ❤️ and congratulations on your new 9-5!!

Anybody that shows 9 to 20 routine? 🥶 personally I come back home at 20 and I am just so lazy that I pass dinner and go sleep
My latest fall evening routine starts at 20.30 - but I totally feel you, some nights it’s literally tv and bed 😂
Just got out of school here in Germany and now working a 9-5 and at the moment i am just struggling with getting anything done after work... Thanks for the Vid!
Adjusting to 9-5 is tough, it took me aaages to get used to - so don’t be hard on yourself!! And congrats on getting your job after school! ❤️
@@ellenalicemiller Thanks ❤

Oo that sounds so nice - im definitely going to give it a go! So glad you enjoyed it ❤️

Thank you so much! ❤️
You will really enjoy electric lighters
haha you are so right! going to order one now!

So lovely! Quick question: What’s a “leaving do”?
Thank you! ❤️ in the U.K. a ‘leaving do’ is just a casual term for dinner/drinks with someone at work who is leaving the company ❤️
Dont be shy, drop the recipe!!
If I’m honest I kind of make up the quantities as I go 😂 but I’m gunna document it next time I make it and share it properly in an upcoming video! ❤️❤️
@@ellenalicemiller 😂😂 I feel you! But we're all curious to taste that delicious dish in the same way you made it! 😋
great video! but taking a bath every evening uses soo much water
Absolutely, definitely only a depths of winter activity! ❤️❤️
Are you single????
No I’m not :)
