Wow, we went for lunch at La Petite Ferme just 2 weeks ago when we went to Franschoek for a days wine tour. It's amazing! Staying in Franschhoek, for a few days, is definitely on our list for a future trip ❤
Africa be crazy indeed, but damn was I shocked to NOT see those luggage trollies in Europe. Thanks for sharing some beautiful memories with us - one thing about South Africans is that they are genuinely such warm people, so sweet to see the hotel calling ahead to the restaurant like that, always wanting you to feel welcomed.❤

Would you reccomended visiting in Sep/Oct/Nov? Or January only? Id like to go this year but unsure if need to wait till early next year! Also appreciate any trip tips !!

One aspect that confounds me is the tendency for white populations to isolate themselves from non-white communities, even within countries predominantly inhabited by non-whites. It's perplexing to witness this desire to distance themselves, all the while projecting an image of culture and sophistication when history reveals a legacy marked by bloodshed, exploitation, and enslavement. For instance, shouldn't visiting South Africa be about African culture? How does wine tasting, for example, truly represent the rich cultural tapestry of South Africa? How?
What a bizarre comment to leave. I never said a few days of wine tasting represents the rich history of SA? What makes you think there was any ‘distancing’? This is a 30 minute vlog of an 8 day trip, I also don’t film the public without their permission if I can avoid it. South Africans are extremely passionate and proud of the wine they produce. My boyfriend’s family has been living in South Africa for decades, it’s his home country and he loves wine - is there somewhere else you’d have preferred we went to celebrate his 30th?
