You saying goodbye to your flat. I can completely relate. I lived alone in my little midget flat for 9 years. I brought my kitten home in that flat, had multiple heartbreaks, dated my now fiance at that flat, I was pregnant at that flat, went into labour in that flat. It was a very bitter sweet moment leaving but it was not big enough for the three of us and we are now having so many new adventures in our now bigger flat. Just as you have now been making memories in your new house 😊😊
There’s nothing like the first morning after moving in, it’s so magical!

Why didn't you put you dining table where your fire place is... And use that sky light area in your kitchen as a snug... That area is so beautiful 😍.. i really think you can maximize your space that way... I know its gonna be bit tight .. but leave this front area as a formal living and dining and use your current dining area as a snug ... And your old couch can even fit in there too
So we’ve talked about this, love the idea!! We’ve actually thought about doing this when we have kids, a few years away for us! But for now we like the idea of sofa by the fire and cooking somewhere different to to the sofa. After years of being in a flat where cooking and sofa was all in the same space, we’re loving a bit of separation, at least just for a while 🥰 ❤️❤️
I don't mean to sound creepy and of course not asking for real details, but being completely unfamiliar with London and England altogether, what kind of area did you move to? Is it a suburb? A small town? It looks divine! Curious about the context.
Of course! It’s a cross between a suburb/ village 🥰 it’s about an hour outside busy London so not too far. If you’ve ever seen ‘the holiday’ the film - that’s basically where we’ve moved to! ❤️
What happens to your flat? Did you sell it ? Including the rest of the furniture and your old sofa ?
We are renting it for now but ultimately will need to sell it - when we sell it we will move all the furniture over to the new house. Apart from the lovely sofa, i wish we could keep it but its so big it doesn't fit in the house anywhere so will give it to a family member :)
