This error keeps repeating then it disappears for a while and comes back. I tested on another computer and they don't have that issue. I did updates all of that. Any other tips ?
I had the same problem but on my giga R1 WIFI. Before I upload a sketch I need to always press my reset button twice, it will turn green. Hit upload and my sketch gets transferred.
this didnt work for me, in the end had to connect B1 to Ground, hit the button, disconnect the ground. it puts the nano in bootloader mode with the LED glowing dimmed red color. THen usee ACM0 port (using ubuntu here)
I tried this and got this error after it tried to upload: Port monitor error: command 'open' failed: Serial port not found. Could not connect to COM6 serial port. Any ideas?
I double click the reset button but the board doesn't wanna go into bootloader mode, the green LED stays on instead of the fading rgb led
Exactly what I was looking for, problem solved. Thank you Sir!
Glad it helped!

I'm running Linux and have the same problem, and nothing seems to work.. Done all your suggestions. Perhaps it's a Linux issue.. Any ideas?
Same problem happened to me as well. Solution: Start "BOARDS MANAGER" and install latest firmware for "Arduino ESP32 Boards", at least V2.0.13.
Its showing hard resetting via rts pin
