best band ever, especially their older stuff. chuck was a genius
freakn murica. doin it
Agreed🤘
Idk i always liked their late work more
Old death is too simple and kinda cringe, even chuck didnt like it that much thats why they went prog
Sound of Perseverance is such an amazing album . Goddamn masterpiece
Watching Death live footage I immediately became a Chuck fan. He was a true genius. Shortly after, I became a death metal fan. Chuck was my gateway.
🤘
The bass player in this video Scott Clendenin passed away in 2015.
Damn that's a shame. R.I.P. Scott Clendenin
Rip
R.I.P Chuck, the drummer at this time is Richard Christie and he now works as a comedian on the Howard Stern Show in America. There is a funny clip of him revealing to Howard that he used to play drums in a death metal band, he asks for a demo...... proceeds to blow the whole studio away 🤣
Oh and they actually created and coined the term Death Metal, hence the name 😉
@@dregnar85 Nah, the term Death Metal, comes from Jeff Becerra of Possessed, and their album Seven Churches being the first Death Metal album as well.
@@olavrell not according to the recent Doco on Death.
@@dregnar85 Death Metal is a term created by the song Death Metal by Possessed that came out on a demo in 83 and later an album in 85. Now for the genre sonically, Death was defining. But the name came from Possessed.
@@olavrell Similar to Venom and Bathory with black metal. Venom coined the term, Bathory had the sound. And I like to say Bathory was the first black metal band. lol
Doesn't really matter either way. They were all ahead of their time and brought us great music with many more bands that were influenced by them over the years.
Wow, Didnt expect death 👍❤️😎
band disbanded because chuck wrote everything for the songs, the drums, bass, guitar, lyrics... he was pretty m,uch the band. The rest of the guys were really talented dont get me wrong, but without chuck the band wouldnt be death anymore cause their sound would be completely different. Death has been my favorite band forever, i never get tired of listening to them so its cool to see you guys enjoying their music. they started off as raw death metal, slowly became more melodic as the albums went on.. then they got more of a progressive sound. also where do you think the name "death metal" comes from ;p
True!
Hell yeah Death!!! R.I.P Chuck Schuldiner, imo, one of the best Metal guitarists that ever was.
When someone has a solo, the camera should be on them, but I totally understand it going between Chuck and Richard at 5:40
So it's been a long time since I heard this story, but I believe this is how it goes....this song is off of Death's Last studio album titled "Sound of Perseverance." Chuck Schuldiner was working on a different project called "Control Denied." The studio wouldn't let him release it because they wanted another Death album. So he wrote "Sound of Perseverance." I'm torn in the thought that some of the work from "Sound of Perseverance" was what he had originally written for "Control Denied." Again, it's been Hella long since I heard the story. That all being said, Chuck was an incredible musician/lyricist. He passed in his mid 30's due to brain cancer (if I'm not mistaken). RIP Chuck....one of the best to ever do it!
as I hv said before u would love reacting to the flesh and the power it holds by them
Death was, if not the creator of, but most influental on creating the whole death metal genre.
Chuck was really in ahead of time.
SPIRIT
*CRUSHYAAAAAAAAAAAH*
YUH!
That was their 3th live gig in this lineup, and they had very little time to rehearse after they found out about the tour dates. It feels like it's the mid tour for them how well they sound.
Chuck was literally GENIUS.
React to Symbolic, Flesh and the power its holds or The Philosopher!
Death may be the godfathers of death metal but from Human onwards, they became their own orbit. Brilliant.
it'd be cool if you reacted to "The Bruins-Canadiens beef featured a police investigation, death threats, and brawl after brawl" by Secret Base. It's a rivalry that spanned over a century, between two original teams with a hatred that divides even families and I think it would give you guys an example of how wild hockey rivalries are.
Greatest band ever! React to “the philosopher”
Top band in the history of metal in terms of musicianship.
I'm not much of a Death Metal guy but Death are one of the better bands of the genre. A band I'd recommend from the genre would be Atheist and their album 'Unquestionable Presence'. Quite Proggy and Jazzy in places.
Absolutely incredible band thoroughly deserving of their legendary status. So unique, so damn heavy, and incredible musicians.
Architecture;
Compression and release:
When traveling through a space. The open space is amplified with a a narrow opening.
Metal groves are an example of how sound can have a similar impact. Grind then groove.
Answers: Florida. And no drugs or alcohol was a band rule. Brain tumor was C.O.D.
When's Opeth coming lads?
That's Richard Christy from the Howard Stern Show on drums
Chuck disliked the whole genre dividing thing. It is all metal, all do some would say it is prog death metal.
You should check out Orbit Culture. I suggest Open Eye or Nensha. Nensha is trilogy of songs, all three have videos and tell a story. Nensha, Rebirth, and The Shadowing. The band is so talented, and have inspirations of some of the greatest bands out there.
What aboute some Bolt Thrower! The riff masters from Coventry
Saying “they’re American” is kind of a disservice. In the sense that so many bands are American. Most popular music comes from America so that doesn’t tel the whole story. They’re from Florida. That tells a much better more involved story about the history of metal because Florida bands were so instrumental in metal.
The British invasion would have never happened without black American blues musicians
@@isopropyltoxicity Yeah, obviously.
live at the legendary Dynamo open air and i was there
Init? :)
Great reaction, check out Obituary.
100% agree. Gotta be the song 'dont care'
Yes!
Take notice of their outfits. They are wearing the official death metal clothing style: Black t-shirt with blue denim jeans.
react to Archspire- Involuntary Doppelganger

Chuck is the death))))
React to tomazacre gbb 2019 compilation
As a longtime Chuck Schuldiner fan who has recently watched your LOVEBITES 'reactions' I noticed that on this 'reaction video' the music is mono while the original video is stereo, and your last LOVEBITES 'reaction' the music is in stereo. Retaining the integrity of the original video as much as possible makes for a better 'reaction' video, imo. Drastically alters the "mix"... can barely hear Chuck's solo ...
I do enjoy your reactions.
$uicideboy$
I have to say thanks for the Death reaction although it is so unfair to listen to live version of that song :/
Welcome to the black parade by my chemical romance. You wont be disappointed
We won’t beatbox
