Y'all are sleeping on Whitney Houston and Lisa Fischer I was gonna mention Mariah, but given Kevin's track record with her I'mma just keep my mouth shut
YESSSS!!!! KAREN CARPENTER! The world today needs to remember who she is because her voice is absolutely gorgeous. It’s so unfortunate that she was not able to share it with the world for very long, but it was still magnificent what she was able to do with it.
My favorite female vocal artists in no particular order are - Whitney Houston - Amy Lee - Selena Quintanilla-Pérez - Mariah Carey - Beyoncé - Diana Ross - Linda Eder
Yes agree 100% with Adele, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Hudson! I love Lady Gaga when she doesn't do all the crazy stuff, was amazing in A Star is Born. She is even better as her natural self. Will have to look up the other two, I know their names are familiar but I am sure my parents are familiar with Karen Carpenter and have heard of Renee. Another one I might add who is also sadly gone is Christina Grimmie. She had an incredible voice and you should look up her Adele covers. I think you would love them. Amazing! She was also on the Voice, sang Miley's "Wrecking Ball" better than Miley and released her own songs.
Big ups for Renee Olstead, massively under-rated. Was a child TV star on some sitcoms before releasing a jazz album in her teens. Silky perfection voice full of sparkle. You can almost hear her eyes twinkle while she sings. Karen Carpenter is indeed the goat. Another relative unknown with a phenomenal voice is Eva Cassidy, who sadly died of cancer before she got famous; the BBC started playing her record a couple years after she died, and it was a huge hit back in 1998, selling a few million copies.
I remember passing out when I asked JHud for a selfie but she said she had to go prepare for the show but that I was cute!!! BTW; 1). Aretha Franklin RIP 2). Beyoncé 3). Coco Jones 4). Mary J. Blige 5). Jennifer Hudson
I Love ...in no particular order 1. Amy Winehouse 2. Miley Cyrus 3. Paloma Faith 4. Julie Andrews 5. Barbra Streisand 6. LP Just the ones that immediately come to my mind.
I agree with your list. Some honourable mentions for this I think are, in no particular order: 1. Whitney Houston 2. Aretha Franklin 3. Cynthia Erivo 4. Floor Jansen (honestly, look this bitch up. You will, like her namesake, be floored) & Tarja Turunun (she's incredible too) 5. Sharon Del Adel (listen to her and Tarja sing together. It's bliss)
Less popular like Karen Carpenter!?! Child, you are so young ;-) Those of us who have been around for many more decades than yourself remember when KC was "it" - every time you turned on the radio or tube, there she was. What a great voice, what a tragic figure. Nothing against your choices, although I'm not a fan of vibratro (also have a problem with Sarah Vaughn, but that's another story). My top five, putting aside opera performers, would be: 1. Dame Cleo Laine (I've seen her twice in concert, including a world premiere written by her husband) 2. Dinah Washington 3. Karen Akers 4. Amalia Rodrigues, the Queen of fado 5. Marianne Faithfull (the one female vocalist I wish I had seen 'live') Out of curiosity, what do you think of Dana Owens aka Queen Latifah? Have you heard her cover of "I Put a Spell On You?" Just - wow.

We share 3/5! Gaga, Adele and Jennifer. I would add Sia in mine, I have never thought on a fifth.
If you like unique voices, Wyvern Lingo are a great band to check out (the song Beast at the Door is a personal favourite!)
Shit based on the voices I’d say P!nk, lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Kelly Clarkson, and Adele. There’s something not human about p!nk’s level of talent.
New to the channel.... as a former musical theater actor (kinda sorta) I love it
Yes but what about Celine Dion?
Oh my GOD I have never heard of jennifer hudson before she is AMAZING
