I feel like there needs to be an option between 1st and 3rd person perspective as well as the use of the AI squad. I love how customizable Breakpoint is and hope they continue to build on that foundation for Project Over.
Yeah i hate 1st person games .one of the best thing about ghost recon was being able to see your character and finding and unlocking customization options. I probably won't play this one.
I'm not interested in AI teammates unless they actually work and bring something to the game. The AI in both breakpoint and Wildlands stand around too much while I get my shit rocked, then revive me WITHOUT first clearing the area to ensure I don't them get killed AGAIN... And then when I inevitably get killed again... They stand around doing nothing... Again,🤬🤬

yes i feel like its the way to go. i have been craving for something like an assassins creed but in modern war, a game focuses on unconventional warfare or guerilla warfare than most tactical shooters which is focused on big wars and big battle like squad for example.
@@jmgonzales7701 if youre on pc you can have a first person mod that make the game so much better, i play sinper and pistol only and i have a blast in breakpoint going full stealth trying to never be seen once.
I just hope it doesn't need to have a internet connection to play like breakpoint

The worst part is Ubisoft Connect dependency, when it goes down you can’t play your singleplayer games. It’s trash.

I actually liked Breakpoint a lot after some of the updates. It was one of the best stealth games of the last generation. I WAS excited for the next installment until you said first person. That completely kills the game for me. This leak better be completely fake.
every military game is first person, this was all we 3rd person folks had. Oh well.

Wildlands was a blast to play. It's unfortunate (for me) that they are kinda veering from the 3rd person view. Seeing customization and roleplaying is important for me in games. FPS games make you feel like you need to be moving fast and rushing to get things done.
Well in Sniper Ghost Warrior and Sniper Elite you can be very Tactical without being fast bc its not the point of the Games

Yeha and seeing your gear and customization in third person makes much more sense
If Ubisoft is smart they’ll make it so you will be able to switch between 1st person and 3rd person
the thing I like about 3rd person is if stealth is going to be a viable option then can you know whether part of you is exposed/visible from a particular angle in a way that it's impossible to tell in 1st person

If this is more like Ground Branch, it may fare well. If it ends up like a COD campaign, it will be the death blow to the franchise. Sadly, i have no hope from Ubi. Pretty bummed at no 3rd person but if its actually tactical and has mechanics from GB, Ready or Not and others, it may hit the mark
I personally really like 3rd person. Another thought I had while playing Wildlands was that it would be cool if on the next volume, the entire squad could ride the motor bikes. It wold be awesome if your teamates followed you on their bikes.
Make it like the spartan mod, and more enemy engagements, and keep third person
They literally scrapped the BR frontlines because of the major backlash it was first person! They literally can’t get much right atall

I just want it to be open-world. I prefer third person over first person when it comes to stealth, but the most important thing for me is open-world (preferably immersive and with no hand-holding), to be able to approach every mission in an infinite amount of ways.

It sounds like it's going in the right direction, but do I trust Ubisoft to actually deliver? Not really - I'm sure they'll find a way to fuck it up.

So much for customizing our gear and making our characters look exactly the way that we want now that's pretty much all thrown out the door special thanks to Ghost Recon for screwing this up for the third person fans
I really enjoy the old GRAW on PC back in the day, those games were tactical fps too and this back to basics sound very good for someone like me who enjoy those games!
I hate that they are going to first person, I have loved this game series since the start and I’m so sad to see them just further saturate the market with first person shooters. I was so stoked for this game till this news. Why can’t we just have one good third person tactical shooter. It’s so much better I feel for a true tactical shooter you’re more aware of your body position and cover positions. First person you can’t even turn your head without turning your entire body. Uughhh!
If there is no 3rd person option, I won't have anything to do with it.

Despite some people saying "no future stuff", I would like to have near-future, Ghost Recon-style tech. Their take on gun-cam, sensors. Usable, meaningful Cross-Com. Something like Advanced Warfighter, some Future Soldier. Mix that with better squad command and control, it would help it feel more like old-school Ghost Recon. Not just "SOCOM" or "DELTA FORCE" with a different name.
they should just give an option for 1st person... i think 3rd person going into 1st when aiming is fine how it is... why have all of that cool gear if you never see it... 3rd person is where its at.

The third person was the feature that hooked me into the franchise. Imagine they nail this game but it's first person, Ubisoft said they learned after breakpoint clearly not, This is a slap in the face to the fans, The FPS market is saturated enough,
A HUGE part of wildlands was the ability to be able to customise your player and accessories and see those customisations in the game. I for one threw heaps of cash at my character. I spent just as much time in the lobby as I did in the game. I think it was this ability that helped make wildlands so successful
Wildlands and breakpoint both had first person mods on PC, really made me jealous as a console player. So if this new title supposedly is in first person I'm all for it.
It had both options. You can play as 1st or 3rd person.. I love ghost recon but this 1st person options only am not in for that.😢

The thing that bothered me the most on breakpoint was the lack of maneuverability and emergent gameplay. The idea of making ready or not but as ghost recon is really cool and giving proper mechanics like climbing, using ropes to climb buildings and having those rainbow six running down the outside wall with you upside down while shooting an enemy is the direction I wanted to see to the game. What doesn’t make sense is going first person. The reason why i like ghost recon is that we dont have this types of genre as third person anymore but you what we have very well stablished ? First person shooters that already have systems and flavor all figured out. A MASSIVE point of breakpoint was customization, creating your own characters and stories and be immersed in this world like an action adventure +stealth. Making it 1st person only would pretty much turn it into farcry army edition.
1. more tactical control over teammates 2. more customization ,colors, patterns etc. 3. A compelling story.
i hope its still open world but much more serious, dark and tactical... breakpoint is actually my favorite title of the series.
Break point is a good game, have solid gun play. Cool mechanic, enemy, beautiful graphic, ok story ( if you have all the dlc), the map are diverse and gorgeous. But it a bit empty. The lack of civilians roaming makes it feels so empty compare to wildland.
It took them long enough to get back to first person. Hopefully it's a lot more tactical and realistic too
I was watching a recent podcast with some ex Spec Ops vet and he had said he was working with a company on a new military video game. I can only pray he was talking about Ubisoft and the Ghost Recon title.

Ghost Recon should have an option for both Third Person and First Person to give players their own option to play and should increase the co-op to 8 man co-op that would be cool in my opinion
4 man first person ghost recon stealth with modern graphical fidelity would be insanely cool. An immersive stealth game like we've never had before if they do it right.
There’s a 3rd person mod for GR1… and a mod that allows you to see the weapon models.
I hope the next one let’s you choose between whatever perspective you want.
The biggest issue I have with first person is that it essentially negates the cosmetics. Fashion game is a big part of end game for me personally.
They should definitely add extremely long range sniping, like Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 did but even more long range, like world record breaking.
The question is can you play with your friends online. This way you can get with friends and run through the story together like they do in Ready or Not.
I still remember Breakpoint's release - your handgun would sway from side to side as you moved left or right while ADS instead of your hands.. let's just hope for the best, with Ghost Recon and GTA6, 2025 gon be the gaming year
Scrapping the 3rd person camera would be a huge mistake imo. First person will just make it feel like a CoD campaign and makes all the gear you can equip meaningless
I don't really mind if it's first or third person, I just hope that the stealth works cause nothing makes me happier than perfect stealth/ eliminating as few people as possible to get the objective done.
Ubisoft is slowly gaining identity back in their games, we’ve gotten to a stage where all of them were rpgs and had the farcry/ac formula just slightly different gameplay. GR is milsim, keep it that way, division is the grounded looter shooter (div 3 better not disappoint) and ac… seems like it’ll never recover.
The 1st person and similarity to Ready or Not has me excited. I'd absolutely LOVE basically a story-driven, PVE version of Escape from Tarkov.
They really should make it an option to have strict FPS or FPS/3PS option turned on also we should be having AI team mates from launch and an upgradeable overtime AI QRF/MEDEVAC/PILOT(for deploying and exfil to and after missions) we need a more realistic combat story line as either a PMC (grc) or special forces CIA (grc)
I think if they take the over the shoulder shooting option away and make it only squad based it’s gonna hurt Ubisoft. Give people options.
The First person mods for Wildlands and Breakpoint were so popular not too suprising the next ones first person although a optional 3rd person mode for more casual play would be good. I hope the cut scenes are in 3rd person so we can gawk at out teams SWAG 😆
I'd love for you to do a gameplay series on Watch Dogs Legion resistance mode and see how long you survive since prime of death is automatically and permanently turned on in that mode and it's more difficult than the normal modes of the game
Ubi should just give the player a setting toggle to let them decide if they want to play in 3rd or 1st person. If they had to pick just one though, I'm on team 1st person.
Should be both first and third person. I'm not interested in it now because first person games make me dizzy, but that doesn't matter. I still hope that it does well and is a good game.
Ghost recon without 3rd person is a no for me, first person removes the immersion.
Personally, what i think makes 3rd person so appealing, it's the situational awareness it offers. And why do they go either 3rd person or 1st person ? Add them both, as in Fallout 3, New Vegas and other games.
Look at Operation Flashpoint : Cold War Crisis, from back in 2000. People liked it so much that we got 2 expansions : Red Hammer and Resistance. It offered a million views. Iron sights and sniper scope(1st person), 3rd person and you could jump to 1st person views with the tap of a button. Vehicles views, same, 1st and 3rd. in the tanks the same, plus commander's view, zoomed out view to survey the battlefield, helicopters and the A-10, same, 1st and 3rd views. Why get the players locked in a view that is so constricted ? Older players, we prefer 3rd person view. Include both views to get twice the number of customers.
They added a playablw terrorist in Siege, no reason to ever fully trust Ubisoft with anything Tom Clancy related ever anymore.

@@Sniper_RX mm yeah that’d be fine but I enjoy Nomad and I like having characters I feel a connection to like Soap when soap died in the old one I was sitting on the couch in despair.
Return of the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier title can make a grand comeback with a back story for Nomad and the teammates as not being able to get satisfactory action so then Future Soldier ghost veterans like Ghost Lead, Kozak, 30K and Scott get redeployed for the new ground tactical experiences for us hardcore fans. And no more BIG freaking behemoths this time and NO arcadey elements to the experience. I've been playing the Ghost Recon series since 2000 AD. Perhaps Ubisoft would see this comment and take a hint at what we want as seasoned veteran gamers.
Thats what COD, Battlefield, halo are for. A 1st person shooter. 3rd person shooter is very unique to play. Players love to see their characters uniform and their loadout. And to see how their characters goes on a gunfight.
I like the third person better before aiming, allows me to see a bit better surrounding my character before engaging/traversing.
If it's first person only I may not play, as someone who has played since the start of the franchise.
Actually, the first Ghost Recon wasn't technically a shooter. It was a turn-based strategy tactics game with a first-person viewpoint. You didn't actually control any characters. It was turn based, so you issued movement commands and rules of engagement to all six characters. You never get to actually pull the trigger on any guns in the game.
It was really innovative at the time, and then they turned it into yet another generic military shooter.
If it's 1st person only, I'm out. I don't want a Call of Duty clone.

There should be an option for 3rd person perspective. Shouldn't make the game too advance in warfare. Drones are ok up to some point. Customizable characters same as in breakpoint, Able to drop in via halo or haho, sub infil, no robot tanks or any AI that assists in fire fights

Day one player for Wildlands and Breakpoint. Never understood why Breakpoint wasn’t more well received. Can anyone pinpoint why it always seems like Wildlands is hailed while Breakpoint is shaded?
With u on this one i really think the series needs to return to its more grounded roots and as a console player (ubisofts main target audience) it would be nice to have a ready or not quality fps game.

No SHOT!!! For the first time ever i saw that Breakpoint had a sale on steam and i just thought that i might search if there are any "leaks" somehow with a new Ghost Recon game but i forget, Sooner like 2 hours (right now) i open youtube and see THIS!
Atleast for me what makes wildlands so good is the atmosphere of the game, and the world with all npc, radio and actions going on in the world makes it feel so alive. And that you are fighting to free the people from the drug lords.
I played breakpoint after they added the realism stuff. It was one of my absolute favorite of the series

naw, 3rd person is what ghost recon is, yes it started off as first person but moved and is a third person tactical shooter, it should stay that way. Personally for me i like the open world more, it makes me feel more immersed, like i have to actually travel to my next destination to either stealth or blast my way into a compound to find whatever intel i need to steal, something i need to blow up, or targets to kill, capture, or save. I would like to see the next ghost recon take what we all liked from both breakpoint and wildlands and add things to it, like the classes, i liked the tools they give you like the scanner from sharpshooter class and the drone from pathfinder, but ide put them as limited resource tools like how they are, but not assign them to classes that give you arcade like buffs for certain weapons, and get rid of the buffs thing entirely, and make the range better, cuz breakpoint sniping sucks
Fuck yes. This direction is the way ghost recon should have stayed with from the get-go. Those OG games were great.

Nah. If the next Ghost Recon is first person, count me out. I play it BECAUSE it isn't first person. There are hundreds of FPSs with military themes... how many third person ones are still going? This is all there really is.
I just hope we get fps and tps options plus more guns and customization options
Ghost recon was originally a fps military shooter, then they dumbed it down for the masses. Hopefully we get some classic back
- No futuristic shit
- Stick to milsim rather than arcade
- Keep third person view, just from a cosmetics point of view
