I've lived here 11 years but I'm watching this vid just to see what you say. ;D I can definitely vouch for the thriving job market. There's just endless jobs and opportunity here. I work as an administrative assistant, which means I can work in most offices, and with very few exceptions I've never had to leave Boca for work. In general this place has everything. It is just PACKED in here, you will never go without whatever it is you like. The only downside is that the rental market has gotten completely exploitative. Palm Beach and Broward Counties apparently have the biggest rent hikes happening right now *nationwide.* Our rent just went up by another $200 a month. You can definitely find apartments, but you're not going to get get much bang for your buck, that's for sure. One bed/baths start at usually no less than $1,600 now, but the average is $1,700/$1,800. It's insane. I'm hoping we don't get driven out because of this, because I really do love living here.
It's completely different than the Boca of old. Everywhere here is packed and for good reason.. the weather, tax savings and for many the political climate make Florida a place to be. For the residents that have been here for many years, it dilutes the living experience and many want to leave for something new and less crowded.
Considering either Tampa or Boca. I am switching my career to healthcare now so it depends where i get the job in Florida but I will eventually move to either Tampa or Boca. Tampa is most likely my preference. Rent is not that bad as compared to Boca cus that’s the impression i am getting from some of the comments here.
looking to relocate from Boston to either Cary, NC or Boca... This video was excellent! I know most people probably wont realize the amount of work, time, and dedication it must have took to make this video. So Thank You!!! Audio was great, you spoke clearly, you presented yourself excellent, the amount of information was unbelievable! Its safe to say I like the video. I wasn't a fan of the shirt but a minute in.... it was a vibe. Maybe you can do a video on the heat of Florida.. How hot is it really? The humidity? How people enjoy to stay cool?
Thank you 🙏 for noticing the effort. You’re absolutely right, it takes time to plan this out and edit it to make it good and engaging. My goal has always been to bring the best and most concise information in a visually appealing way and we nailed it based on your comment. The shirts are definitely a vibe and it takes a little getting used to. If you need help or have questions about Boca or surrounding areas don’t hesitate to reach out 561-609-1345. I’m going to add those ideas to the queue. Thanks for watching 🤝
Get ready to drive 100mph everywhere unless you want someone to rear-end you. People here drive like they have diarrhea 24/7, because of that your car insurance will double even if you have a squeaky clean record. The humidity is overblown. Yeah, it's hot and humid in the summer, but you're not going to catch on fire. Other than the garbage drivers, it's very nice. If you end up in West Boca, go to BJs in Parkland for gas, that's my pro-tip.
Yrs ago I transferred my Sec 8 voucher there and both I and a former classmate who owned a gorgeous 5 br home there were shocked to see a section of Boca that wasn't *high end* and I looked at an apt that disappointed me so much I had to let the landlord know. He got highly upset and acted like he was doing me a favor to even consider RENTING to me even with dead roaches laying on the kitchen counter! I quickly ended that apt tour, got back into my friends Rolls-Royce and left. Found a better neighborhood in Oakland Park with an amazing school in Broward County and never looked back. My friend and I laughed that he was so surprised at that area in Boca because he said that's an area he never knew existed because he never went that way. He thought all of Boca was as high end as the area his house was in. I saw a black man who told me that yeah, Boca has it's high end as well as it's ghetto area since Boca wasn't always considered a high end wealthy place. It only became that way as time went on.
Awesome recap of our beautiful city. Most people think unincorporated Boca is within city limits. We are so happy with our public services. Don’t forget we have a Brightline station to skip the traffic with Uber service on most destinations..
Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I love Boca and wanted to summarize some of the best things in a concise and shorter way. Thanks for the feedback on Brightline and I'll make sure to mention it in a future video.
I grew up in Boca Raton and wouldn’t live there today. Too crowded for me. When a city needs metered public parking its out grown my liking. It’s a great city for what it is though.
It has changed a lot but I will say for the better. No doubt it’s gotten very expensive and crowded but that’s because it’s such a great place to live and most of everyone’s first choice when looking at South Florida and Palm Beach specifically always starts with Boca.
OMG the 80s paint splatter shirt is so retro 80s just like most of the homes here in BR. You did not mention all the amazing synagogues and how many Jews live here in Central/Mid-town Boca Raton. All levels of observance. TONS of kosher options. There are 3 major synagogues with a couple of miles of each other. Boca Jewish Center (My shul), BRS and or Boca Raton Synagogue (very big shul) and or Young Israel (more religious (frum) but ppl are very friendly and nice). The only thing is getting a home within a mile or less walking distance is NOT easy or cheap. Many pay cash. Opportunities come up but one must be diligent. If someone would have told me 1.5 yrs ago that I would be living in South FL and LOVING it I would have thought them to be crazy!! I have lived here for about a year and LOVE it. Im from SF and am 5th gen NorCal. Hubby is from NYC. We are obvi Jewish. There are many "ex-pats" in that there are many ppl that have FLED big cities like NYC, Chicago, Philly, LA, and in our case SF bc the politics were getting crazy (Seriously, I have had ppl tell me their 7 yr old is trans and while I am tolerate, I think that is crazy) and CRIME increasing, homeless ppl everywhere with their filth and drugs, ppl NOT being COMMUNITY MINDED plus EXPENSES (taxes are high, public schools are getting worse not better) just make it not a great place to live. People want to not only live but thrive. Most importantly they want to feel their CHILDREN ARE SAFE. You also do not have to hide if you dont agree with crazy "wokies''
All very valid points. I've helped many Jewish families move in Central and West Boca. I love it here and happy to see that you are too. Thanks for your comment.
What he says about discounted beach access only for Boca residents is not completely true. I live in Beach zone 3, unincorporated Boca Raton near st Andrew’s CC. We get resident access to south beach park - parking access. There are 3 zones of beach access across Boca Raton.
I believe all Palm Beach County Residents get parking access to South Beach Park, that's what it says on the city website. It's only that one beach in Boca. I look forward to seeing the future follow up video about Unincorporated versus City Limits. It could definitely help people better understand, since it can be confusing.
He also mentioned the Boca Raton Children Museum that has been closed for many years pre pandemic. Realtors are supposed to be good researchers - he strikes me as the most recent one I had …. Where he just showed up to open the doors of the properties I found.
Go FAU. Go owls. Lived in the FAU dorms many years ago. Plenty to do in the area. It has changed dramatically. There was no West Boca when I was there.
Thank you! I appreciate the comment and you watching the video. Hopefully it gave you better insight. Let me know if you need help moving into the area.
I am 45, currently live in San Francisco for the past 9 years but getting out soon. I am interested in Southern Florida, especially Boca Raton. Can I live car free in downtown Boca and just bike, walk, and use public transit? I am a writer and manage residential buildings and would like to manage residential buildings in boca.
I moved to Florida from SF (best decision ever) and currently live in Miami for work. I want to get out of here it’s too crowded- and move more North somewhere near Palm beach. I would highly recommend having a car here. Biking anywhere you’re going to be soaked either from rain or sweat; it is hot as balls and I couldn’t imagine biking especially between May and October anywhere between 10am and 5pm. Air conditioned car is definitely needed.
Say man, great video. I'm looking for a vacation rental property that I can also use (snowbird) and get paid. I plan on doing a cash buy somewhere in the Boca, Delray, and Deerfield area. You have or know a great video that will put me in the know before a start calling or going down there and not know what I'm talking about
Hi! As a Boca Raton Resident who like you has lived in South Florida for most of my life I feel the need to let you know the BOCA RATON CHILDREN MUSEUM HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR YEARS!!!! We are talking PRE pandemic. I see your video was made in 2023. You should do better research!
I went there with my daughter before the pandemic and I didn’t realize it was permanently closed because it didn’t say that. On Google it was on lists of top things to do in Boca with kids. I’ll make sure to make those updates in future Boca videos. Thanks for pointing that out.
You talk about Boca Raton and you show a picture of a crowded street in Poland showing cars with Polish registration and company name....????? A primitive example of making idiots out of people!😡🤬😨👎
I grew up there and moved away almost 5 years ago in the middle of the c vid. I will never return. It has become a horrible place to raise children, the influx of northerners has ruined it. Sorry it's true. Everyone is nasty, competitive and care more about looking rich than anything else.
@LIVSouthFlorida 42 years down here. Trust me south Florida has become a sewage of immigrants over priced etc etc etc. Boca is Plastic and Phone. They should call it New York Raton

Dope video. Packed with info and to the point! Nice work brother.
Thanks brother. That means a lot 🙏
Grew up in Boca got there in 77 when I was 7 been here my whole life it started getting over crowded around 2006 and now its just packed.

@@LIVSouthFlorida still pretty quiet when compared to Miami
I like that you included information about incorporated versus unincorporated Boca. It's not really common knowledge. Great job!
Thank you! Most don’t even know that exists. We always strive to bring the best information and things people don’t know about.

What about the weather? How many hurricanes flatten /flood it per year? Related deaths/ year?
Not many at all if any. We've been fortunate on the east coast for many years and haven't had any issues since Wilma in 2005
i go to don estrige for 2 years now and it’s a good school and good sports
Very good school from what I’ve heard.
Great video, concise and informative. No fluff and asking to sub and like for 2 minutes. About to move to the area. Thanks

That was a good video and straight to the point👍😊 but do you also have churches ?
Thank you! Yes there are several churches and other places of worship as well.
Boca Raton is at least 95% Jewish. Mostly from the East coast or South Florida
We moving out next month ❤
Where you moving to?
And how long have you lived there?
In Boca and around since 1990
@livsouthflorida is Manalapan more like Boca or Palm Beach?
Manalapan is on the island so it’s a lot more like Palm Beach
Perfect... thanks
Great video
thank you 🙏🏼
There are alot stores that closed in the mall.
It seems like there's always stores closing and new concepts popping up. You have your staples but the others are all interchangeable
I moved out of Boca 1988 we called it plastic city or credit card heaven. We moved to lighthouse point where real people lived
Good video
Glad you enjoyed it!

Bo-Cah Rah-Tone

West Boca is NOT in the City Limits.
I know and I mention that in the video
Nobody here uses "midtown" or "uptown"
Not yet but it’s coming.
Exactly most certainly not “uptown” to crappy West Boca … imagine uptown SR7 right in the corner of Walmart LMAO 🤣
What’s the percentage of young adults over there? I don’t wanna move there and stuck among old folks and die lonely 😂
Between the ages of 20-44 you’re looking at around 32% of the total city population

Because why….?
Boca is over rated. Too many foreigners. Getting to expensive here.
I think it's a great place to live. Depends on what you're comparing it to. I can see why some call it overrated.

It's not for everyone that's for sure. It's a great place but the people sour the experience for many. Hopefully you found your piece of paradise.
