Fist thing: Oh shit. Have you played Ragnarok Online? I did (on pirate servers ofc), I have spent a lot of time there with my friends, it being my first MMO pretty much. To quote Freya from FFIX - "To be forgotten is worse than death"... and that's the true meaning of death to me. Sure, something can be physicaly destroyed or cease to function all-together. I mean... ones like Debussy, Kubrick or Dumas are long gone in the physical meaning, but their legacy is still inspiring new people. So as much as someone cares about something and remembers it it's kind of "alive" - luckily we live in times where nearly everything is preserved. ...even if some companies would prefer that to not be true. Loved the editing on this one. So many little details, so many stuff put into that to engage the audience's tiny lizard brains. ...though I'm pretty sure that it was more demanding. I would like to see it more often so I can feel good about watching a person with based taste of media. But yeah, Drakengard 3 gud ...and yeah... I try to keep my opinions to myself. I mean, I like to comment on videos and initiate discussions, but I don't like to be part of groups. I feel... awkward in them and they tend to get REALLY tribalistic.
It was the first MMO I ever really played (aside from Graal Online but that was more like an interactive chatroom for me) and had to beg my parents lots to spend my allowance on it after I once got a free 14 Days trial from the Bravo Screenfun magazine! Good times... till they shut the servers down and then I never played it again even after it went F2P and never bothered with private servers either. I agree with that! The worst thing a game can be for me is just so boring that it's just forgettable. Despite that though every game should be preserved, even if it was forgettable to me! I played so many generic F2P MMOs back then that I quit with friends after a week but even those had their hardcore fans who deserve to keep playing it on private servers. Yeah, I tried to kinda make it less of a "only show gameplay" kind of video to a more... I don't even know how to describe it kind of video, just with a bunch of little silly pictures here and there to keep it more engaging since it's more of a broad topic. Only thing that kinda suffered from it was the script which I kinda wanted to keep short since I just wanted to try this out! Was really fun to make though so I will try my best, thanks for enjoying it! And I can really relate to that, I was pretty active on forums back in the day but nowadays I just play a game, enjoy or not enjoy it and don't really seek out discussions about it because doing it on social media is somehow not so much fun. Guess we are both just not the type of group chatters! Or maybe just me...
@@Vanserchan One of the funniest things I get from our exchanges is the fact that I realise how weirdly similiar childhoods in our countries were. We had Bravo here too (they expanded into Polish market, though they were weirdly unwholesome sometimes). Hm. I wonder about that. I had the same thoughts not so long ago (as in that every game or piece of media deserves to be preserved), but then... I came to the realisation that not every game. Because what about asset flips? Or blatant cashgrabs? There (sadly) exist games that are there for no artistic merit or love from their creators, they are just cynical attempts at getting money from some poor schmucks. But yeah, otherwise I believe that every game (or a piece of media), no matter how bad or how vile, deserves to exist, as long is it was made by someone who cared or wanted to show something but wasn't proficient enough (...like my favorite movie, "The Room"). I think that this format is more engaging to the viewer. I like your standard "talking about the game while relevant gaming footage plays", but I think that this has more... personality? It gives you a lot more "options" so to speak. I mean, you put a lot of things to your standard videos already, but it was especially present here. ...oh, I know that feel when you try to keep something short and then suddenly it gets out of control. ...I mean, originally I planed for my series about Digimon World to be 5-6 hours and it spiraled into 9.5 h, while Tombi!2 project was meant to be a nice, relaxing break after the effort that was DW1 - planed at 2-2.5 h. ...it currently looks to be somewhere around 7 hours now. So... thanks for another video!
@@Hodyna Yeah, the usual Bravo magazine was like for teenagers, mostly girls because it had tons of posters of like boybands and Britney Spears and stuff like that. But the Bravo Screenfun was their video game magazine and they always had fun games on their discs so sometimes I would get an issue when going shopping with my parents! I still have the discs but I don't even know if I still got the actual magazines... I do see that point but I think even then if someone wants to preserve it they should be able to, regardless of how bad a game is. Too bad I didn't take that advice myself back in the day and lost all of my bad RPG Maker games I have made... My games are forever gonna be lost media now... Also I should watch The Room one day... I think so too that to the average person this style is more engaging but I'm not really a person that cares about analytics and things like that normally, otherwise I would probably lose all the fun I'm having =w= I do want to try to make all of them more engaging though but not overdo it and try to find that nice balance somewhere in the middle! I'm a bit jealous of how you can make them THAT long though, even if I try to make my own video a bit longer than usual I would never see myself getting to the multiple hours mark, even if I really love a game. But hey, maybe I should make a video about ALL the Xenoblade games, that will surely probably make me have to do it!
Underrated video game youtube guy. The mysteries of our algorithm overlords shall always elude us. I have a theory anyone speaking English without an American or typical English accent gets quietly wheeled off to another room with fewer people in it. I think I see another guy from 2006 over in the corner there recorded on an old Nokia phone trying to take a photo while picking his nose. Oh well. You're among cultured company. *sucks thumb*
Guess I will have to train how to get an English accent, probably a Welsh one since those are pretty rare and unique... Then I can finally leave this room with some rather questionable entities...

I think a game being dead is mostly subjective Maybe it's because I'm stupid but I did spend some time in empty online games just exploring and doing things just because idk I felt like it As long as you can have fun with a game, sounds good enough to me, when the game become completely unavailable then yeah of course it's dead, I don't think popularity have anything to do. Game that lost their popularity could just be called "irrelevant", as long as the game is playable, you can be sure there will be that one guy playing it over and over every day Also Gimmick 2 mentioned pog
