Great tutorial! My 407 2.0 HDI has recently lost power, I have been trying to find faults and have found that one of the flaps on mine has no return action and just flaps around without any resistance, could this be the cause? Thanks.
Unfortunately there's a whole list of little things that might be wrong and will cause low boost. Some are directly related to the turbo (like the vacuum valve controlling VNT, sensor on the turbo, IAP sensor on the intake, boost leak) and some can cause the engine control unit to go to low-boost mode to prevent further damage (fuel rail pressure out of range, accelerator pedal potentiometer fault, timing belt out of sync). Would be helpful if you could run a quick scan of the car to see if there's some error code pointing to a fault.
mr-fix thanks, I’ve got someone to scan it arranged for end of next week, hopefully they’ll find something although I have no warning lights of any sort displayed on the dash.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question but why would a diesel need a throttle body? They draw a fixed volume of air don't they? The lack of a throttle body and butterfly valve prevents pumping losses. Why does this diesel have one?
@@psions555 As far as I know this "throttle" flap is actually a valve to allow the ecu to decide if it needs cooler air from the intercooler or just air from the airbox depending on operating conditions. Very good question you raised though 🙂

HuntingWales sorry, no. 1.6D is a completely different construction. If we'll make similar video about 1.6D it's best if you subscribe to this channel :)
Unlikely. This message shows when ECU estimates that the filter is full. That estimation is based on the readout from the differential pressure sensor (installed next to the battery, with two line going form it down to the filter). It reads pressure before and after the filter and if there's pressure build-up before the filter, it calculates how clogged it is. This has nothing to do with the intake manifold.
maybe the fuel doesnt shut off properly -> engine keeps running on its own ..? as far as I know, Diesel Engines can only be stopped by cutting the fuel.
Both engines have intercoolers. But in mine there's an additional bypass so the controller can choose if the turbocharger air should go through the intercooler or should it go directly to the engine. In your engine there's no bypass and turbocharger air is always going through the intercooler.

Very good Job
😀
i checked out my trnsioner belt to a mechanic and its ok . my car has a rough idling and turns of when im stoping only when im with AC ON what could be ? help pleasee
Maybe your AC compressor is soon to be broken and it resists so much on the accessory belt that it can stop the engine?
My car is doing the same, cutting out when I take it out of gear when slowing down. Sometimes it won't start again for days.. :-( Hadn't considered that something might be resisting the belt. Thanks for the idea!
Why was one of the flaps open . On mine both are closed
One is open by default, other on is closed by default.
how can i relearn?by disconnecting the minus on the battery?
No need to relearn. The valves are connected with vacuum lines, and both MAP and IAT sensors does not required any kind of calibration.
@@mrfixpl thank you so much
I have some rubber pipe conencted to mine. How do i remove it on a volvo c30?
+Domo Mandingo this video is from C30. Where do you have an additional pipe connected?
Heloo my friend really thank you for your videos about tips peugeot cars...i have one question where i can get free repair manual on web site i really need that i have peugeot 407 sw 2.0 hdi 100 kw 136 ps 2006 year do you know maybe where i can get it..thank you...
did you disconnect the battery terminal?
Nope.
Hello guys,i have a problem with my Peugeot 307 2.0 100kw HDI.I cleaned throttle body and at 2100rpm my turbine dont start...what could be a problem? My turbine doesnt work at any rpm after cleaning...HELP!!!
Damaged/disconnected inlet manifold pressure sensor.
It shows me on my bord Exhaust system faulty... and my engine make some weird noise... never heard him that loud... i only cleaned that throttle body and yes... i broke my car.what to do?
What was the problem? Bad first start?
Shaking when turning off and smoking on heavy acceleration.
Filip Horvatic It seems that almost every 2.0D engine has that problem, but no one knows how to fix it ;__;
+John Szczepanski Next I'm cleaning the EGR valve to see if that helps.
+mr-fix Did this helped on smoking?
mr-fix did this fix the shaking and smoking issue?
does anybody know if this will help my not starting problem when hot
Is it the same in 1.6D c30?
HuntingWales sorry, no. 1.6D is a completely different construction.
If we'll make similar video about 1.6D it's best if you subscribe to this channel :)
will this cause dpf soot messages
What is the engine code in this motor?.
My car is a Volvo 2.0d 2008 but it only has 1 intake pipe
Some Volvos with 2.0d will have just 1 valve. Mine had intercooler bypass, so that why there are two.
Do you know why there could be oil there?
la recirculacion de gases del carter, se condensa aceite en todo el circuito de admision
Good video. Thx
:)
Hi!, i must have diagnostics tool ? .
No.
mr-fix Thanks 😁
Hi
I have focus 1.6 tdci 66kw. When l switch off the engine and the entire car start to shake. If anyone knows what is the problem. Tnx
maybe the fuel doesnt shut off properly -> engine keeps running on its own ..? as far as I know, Diesel Engines can only be stopped by cutting the fuel.
Remove throttle body, and use brake cleaner spray inside don't need to use circuit cleaner or stuff :)
I did the same, but the turbo is not working now🤔
Check vacuum lines if there's no rupture. VNT turbo is controlled by vacuum line.
@@mrfixpl i think that i have damaged the sensor by cleaning with unproper spray?
@@mrfixpl Thank you man!!! It's was the vacum line, please in email sent me your address, i want to send you some swiss chocolate 🍫 😉
@@ecosafe6233 Happy to help! Catch me in private message on facebook or instagram 😀
Thanks !!

My one is. Not a twin porn what’s the difference it’s the same engine
There were versions with and without intercooler bypass.
mr-fix am sure It has an intercooler but only one port strange great video though t
mr-fix is The engine you’re working on have an intercooler
Both engines have intercoolers.
But in mine there's an additional bypass so the controller can choose if the turbocharger air should go through the intercooler or should it go directly to the engine.
In your engine there's no bypass and turbocharger air is always going through the intercooler.
mr-fix Okay thanks for that in your opinion what is the better set up
I think it's not enough.. you must clean all the thruthl
Oh my god .. Why remove all of parts ? Just use Brake cleaner .... It's just perfect , for MAF and this throttle body.
+Cerisette Kotomi because gears that drive those flaps often get broken. I always try to make my tutorials with as much disassemble as it can be necessary when fixing certain issues. It this case someone might need to remove it to inspect those flaps or even replace whole element.
+mr-fix Thanks :) !
you have to be wery dumb to use brake cleaner on maf
Very* Yes i support your statement;
It is not wise using an aggressive "cleaner" on sensitive electronics.
Thia ia just for volvo and possible Ford.
It really irritates me when he keeps putting the bolt in and out. Just leave the damn thing out and get on with it ffs.
waste of time
tanto como leer tu comentario, en cambio, haber dicho que junto con el cuerpo del acelerador hay que limpiar tambien el colector de admision, los conductos y las valvulas, habria servido de algo.
