@@madelectronengineering I thought you were going to be able to repair it, I would have sent the plate to a specialist before making the resin souvenir.
Cool! ✌🏼though i am confident that if you hot air blasted it at 340c you would have greater chances on reflowing the solder imho! Still too bad it didn’t work out!😔🤘🏼
Nice to see Panda's 50th VII showing up again on youtube. You obviously did some research to use flux and tape a thermo couple to the pcb, good moves. Don't worry it took me many hours and buying lots of gear before I was successful at bringing dead gpu's back to life. So far I've had success on 75% of the Vega's I've tried but have not had a out of warranty VII to put on my bga station.
@@makingstatements812 it's more likely to be the memory controller in the GPU I reckon because the titan v and other Nvidia hbm2 cards which do extremely heavy server workloads which are just a bad as mining don't have the same issues.
My Radeon VII is still kicking ass two years later, crossed fingers it lasts even longer :$ I bought mine brand new for less than $600 USD in 2020, the shop actually thanked me because they thought they would have never sold it lol Do you have any recommendation about which thermal paste to use for it? I have been using the thermal grizzly kryonaut extreme and so far so good :) Happy midweek and keep on mining
Please don't think I know what I'm doing! This was way beyond my expertise, just learning.
Mad Electron brother thank you for trying! Damn that coaster looks sick man you didn’t have to do that!
lol you'll love it!

This triggered me so bad instead of sending it to someone that knows something... turn it into a coaster🙈
You need to have big balls to rock that haircut

tryna bring back a 6700xt to life?
I have a dead Radeon vii error code 43. Want to give it a shot?
@@briangener5344 Yes, we can talk about that. Are you in any of the mining discord's? That's where I normally arrange things.
Great effort man!! Enjoyed watching
Very cool. Love this community
LOL, that Mine ERGO shirt
My favorite crypto shirt!
Looking good 👍 I need one
Sweet!
Nice paper weight my man lol
You know it
Even if you reballed have it, it wouldn't have worked. The Radeon vii dies inside the chip itself :(
From what I've read, most of the time it's the BGA balls that break, but there are a few instances of the HBM2 memory actually just flat out dying.
@@madelectronengineering I've raballed 4 radeon VII GPUS, all of them are dead. It's 99% GPU problem...
Apparently hbm2 dies on these cards. Avoid.

mine isnt detected in device manager i have exactly same one 50th =(

he burned em up didnt he? his one video showed he was dropping below 12v
We didn’t get to see anything? You cut out the only interesting thing to watch?!
Indeed, just a waste of time ...
чо у него на башке?😂
😰😰😰 what a horror reflow "technic", hotplate and hotgun on the such sized GPU - is kill it on 100% cases.
7's are notorious for the cod 43 Death. Not sure if it is the HVM not handling that consisting read/write or why, but DO NOT BUY RAD 7!
shame on him for mining on that gpu
🤣🔥🔥🔥
Good stuff buddy, i loved it!!
