Astrology has provided so many benefits to man and his civilizations all the way back, in fact preceding all known languages. It is the science of telling time. the foundation of the entire field was based on thousands of years of observations made by the Chaldeans and others. They observed the night sky and events in their communities, including weather, during the day and over many thousands of years, observed correspondences proven over time. If Astrology is false, why was every important structure in every advanced civilization known, built with foundations intentionally aligned astrologically (ex: We still to this day do not know how the engineering behind the Great Pyramid of Giza was built and would not be able to produce it today)? Were they all just superstitious? Then why were they so advanced in every other way for their time? If Astrology is false, why were whole systems of mathematics developed to produce charts and ephemerides? Why do all that work if it’s all just a con?
Great comment. The reason they should both be in same category is because they both fail the scientific test of being falsifiable. Neither can be tested for their supernatural claims. As soon a scientific experiment is done that demonstrates any evidence supporting either of these religious claims, (tongue in cheek) no further study can be done. Until then, science has nothing to say about religion or astrology.

He was killed in May 25th, and the REAL lunar eclipse (only twice a year, six months apart!) was only 10 days later, on June 5th!! I would say pretty damn important assassination almost on par with JFK. Considering the reaction. FACT: the official FULL lunar eclipse is ONLy twice a year. Now take that into account, and an event within 2 weeks of the FULL lunar eclipse IS a statistically significant occurrence, if similar events happen. (Of which I just demonstrated.) There are 52 weeks in a year. This is what she is talking about. The Solar eclipse also happens within a few weeks ALWAYS. This is called “eclipse season “- about a month. Aydn of Astro-Action If an event can happen within a range of 10 days from a solar eclipse and you still consider it as valid evidence of both things being linked, then 40 days out of 365 a year would be fair game (10 days before and after each solar eclipse) 365/40 = 9.125. So the chance of an important event happening within 10 days of a solar eclipse is 1 in 9.125. It's not statistically significant, stop believeing in bullshit.
good to know. I always use it as a filter to get rid of IDIOTS who don't even know what astrology is all about and how PRECIOUS of a science it really is. Love it. Neil De Grasses Tyson suffers from scientism dogma (similar to the whole scientific community was when they ridiculed and laughed at Einstein for his theory and challenging newton). The fact that he is an astrophysicist does not give him a voice on how the world works, particularly when we know so little about the world. Intuition (ex: Einstein) creates new avenues of knowledge. Logic (people like bill nye and 'scientists' like Neil de grasse Tyson) enlarges these avenues and applies the knowledge in the world for constructive and destructive purposes. You have to keep an open mind and never outsource your thinking to a figure in the community that claims to have all the answers. Scientific inquiry is supposed to be about humility, something Tyson lacks. I actually like Tyson and watch his shows and don't think the blame is 100% on him, but his mind is limited to his field. He's like a butcher at a butcher shop. If you go to a butcher shop, and ask the butcher what you should get for dinner, he's going to tell you a specific type of meat to buy even if maybe meat is not the best option for you. The Butcher might have the best intentions for you, but all he knows is meat; he's not a nutritionist. In the same way, Tyson's field has narrowed the way he thinks about things and unfortunately it has hijacked and amplified his ego.
Also, your sign isnt even your sign. The earth wobbled a little bit since the constelations and signs were named, and your sign is determined by the constellation the sun was in when you were born... But we still use the process the ancients did so we are always getting signs wrong. People born in August are Leo, because thats what they were back when zodiac signs were first created... But thats no longer the case. So basically zodiac signs are based on outdated data
Thank you, I’ve been telling people that for a long time now because that’s what the science says. In my opinion, astrology missed the boat here, they could have changed with the times to keep up with the science and gained credibility, to fool a whole bunch more people. But they did not do that so astrology remains more similar to religion than it is to science.
This isn’t completely cast aside in astrology though. Western Astrology recognizes that use of the tropical zodiac wheel is not the accurate positions in real time. But we do still use the tropical wheel to measure seasons. But there is also a practice called Vedic astrology where they go with actual placements where the the wheel matches up with real time.
Astrology accounts for that. You really think the ancients, observing the sky closely for millenia, didn't notice the signs rotate? Edit :they're the reason we even know that

Why would you ask a scientist about matters of spirituality? Astrology has very little to do with astronomy aside from the location of the planets, and is for the most part purely psychological. Study the subconscious, and you'll begin to understand astrology. Study quantum mechanics, and you'll begin to understand astrology. Understand that we come from and are connected to this universe and that we have an immediate affect upon it, and vice versa, and you'll begin to understand astrology. Study symbolism, and you'll begin to understand astrology. Studying the stars ironically reveals very little about how astrology works, outside of planetary positions, and the fact that we all come from star dust. For the record: It sounds like this astrolologer was just a bad astrologer who had her facts wrong. 2 weeks before or after is the shadow period for any major astrological event, in regards to retrogrades and such. That's when the energies of that event begin to creep in. However, moon phases change within a matter of hours. There's no shadow period, but a "void of course." He is getting his ideas about astrology from all the wrong people and is using anecdotal evidence to support his subjective claims.

it doesnt help that due to stellar parallax ( and their own movement) the constellations have changed over 2 thousand years, so they probably look even worse now
Women tend to be interested in astrology because more interested personal relationships and understanding other people which is in a woman's nature to be curious about. Most people that are unaware of the depth that astrology goes into just have not been informed . Joe Rogan should talk to Steven Forrest, or call up Robert Hand for an interview.
Wait, so you are going to make a sexist comment like, "women tend to be interested in astrology because they're more interested in personal relationships"? What? This is obviously not true, and it sounds to me like someone sure has been drinking some water, poisoned water.
Jimmie Barrett I think his comment does hold some merit to it. Women are more detailed orientated than men and women thrive off social relationships the most
Jimmie Barrett it’s not sexist. Astrology attracts the feminine energy; feminine energy is dark. these women that are usually attracted to it are dominated by their feminine energy, as well as the men.

Astrology is just another type of racism or cast-ism. It stamps a person based on the time they were born irrespective of how a person did in his/her life so far (like in racism, they do it based on the race ppl are born into). Unfortunately, in India it is widely believed. Horoscopes (& astrology matching) is mandatory for 2 ppl to get married. And ppl like me whose horoscope says 'this person is unlucky' have really hard time finding spouse. Its really awful to be judged for life based on something you don't actually control!! :(

It was ridiculous and all these people say it’s “for fun”. Clearly some people take it more seriously then it ever should be taken.. astrology isn’t a way to understand people. Ummm. Looking back at my relationships in the past prior to me being into astrology. My worst relationships were predicted correctly. The best chemistry and communication I’ve ever felt was with a compatible sign. You can’t make shit up. I had no reason to have bias in my decision when I looked back at those experiences. That’s not coincidental because it also correctly stated what areas we’d have the most problems understanding each other. I’ll take this over a make believe god.

At least they're not trying to pigeon-hole me into specific boxes when I'm like, you know...an INDIVIDUAL, maaan. And so are they. I used to sort of poke fun at these women and tease them or say things like "ehh it's all bullshit, it's just a pseudscience" and they would get so angry like it's their fucking religion. Like I'm laughing at them and saying "GOD ISN'T REAL. YOU'RE DUMB. NA NA NA NA NA" so now I've been a lot more, shall we say...nuanced in my approach in that I just don't say anything. The other day I was lying on a couch with a woman I just recently started seeing and she put crystals on my chest, saying that when she does it she feels more relaxed and lets the energy flow through her (placebo effect much?). That might be the hardest I've bit my tongue in my life to not just be like "Listen lady, what in the actual fuck are you doing?". She said the crystal wasn't working well and needed to be "recharged" by sitting out in nature. Though I didn't explicitly say anything, my eyebrows were raised and my lips were pursed.

to me you have to approach astrology with a humble mindset. like death and the humility of admitting you don’t know what happens when you die. I like to play with astrology and the information it provides but you have to understand anything is subject to change with free will. Now I don’t fully understand its correlation to the stars and the universe and the whole scientific side of it but I enjoy dipping into the whole study of humans part. all this information recorded from studying people who were born at different points in time and how different parts of their personality sync up to create the lens in which they see the world. it’s fascinating at the very least. it’s not all 100% accurate because everyone is individually unique and astrology should be approached with nothing more than curiosity of learning more about oneself and how we may relate to each other and the universe at its very core. When you approach astrology as if it were a religion or some ultimate truth, it comes off shallow and bit distasteful and definitely pushes people away from it kinda like how they are reacting in this video.
I'm glad you are at least openly admitting that you don't understand the mechanism of action for astrology because there is none whatsoever. I feel giving any attention to astrology is setting future generations back from scientific achievement. People making decisions and judgments on charts that's don't guess anything better than chance is pure pseudoscience. It might seem fun to look into and ask around but people male serious decisions on this stuff. People just get sucked in by confirmation bias and can't see what's really in front of them. In 1985 physicists Shawn Carlson performed a careful study involving 28 astrologers and found their guesses to be no better than chance. It's utterly useless to give this facade any more time than it's had. We have the scientific method now and astrology crumbles at the sight of it.
I agree, the name of something is SOOO important, more now than ever. But I don't like people who disparage our own ancestors for figuring out ways to understand the Universe and life so that we could now eventually all watch Joe Rogan videos for fun.

Guys, I like both of you but you both sound like complete fools discussing astrology. You do not have any idea what you are talking about. It is very disappointing, especially for you Mr. Tyson. You are supposed to be a scientist. You do know that Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler and even Isaac Newton PRACTICED astrology. Yes, they actually learned how it worked and conducted case studies and experiments (You know Mr. Tyson, like a scientist does) then after doing these things saw how it worked. You are protected by the Western cultural bias / hostility toward astrology and can therefore make an ass of yourself by stating these opinions with very little consequence. In India or other places where they PRACTICE astrology (rather than believe / disbelieve in it like you are doing) and have for thousands of years, you would be laughed out of the scientific community. Just like Yoga is not a belief, neither is astrology. They are practices. By the way, there are people who do not believe in western sciences either. But they are fools because their views are just beliefs. Last thing, all of our mathematical discoveries (Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, etc) came as a result of ancient archaeo astronomer / astrologers tracking the movements of the planets through the heavens. The astronomy gave precise calculations, the astrology gave the precise MEANING (what the planet in that section of the sky MEANT). From India to Babylon and Egypt, then later through Greece and Persia, the ancients decoded the sky and our connection to the heavens. It is time for people to realize this ancient wisdom again. At the very least, respected scientists should be quiet before they spout off about something they do not know anything about. Claudius Ptolemy, the creator of the Ptolemaic Theory, the predominant universal view for 1500 years - also wrote the most popular and famous astrology book in the west AND the most accurate star Mapping text. In those more enlightened times science and spirit we one. There was no war between physics and METAphysics. Scientists were not arrogant celebrities running their mouth the way you are here. By the way, Mr Tyson, if you are so smart and Western sciences are so infallible, let's hear YOU explain how the universe works on the quantum level. Explain how and why quantum entanglement works and the other theories we now can perceive. You can't. So, get humble and at least have some reverence and respect for something you do not understand and for the ancient scientists that discovered the orbits of the planets and their meanings - instead of these embarrassing displays. Scientists like Laghada, Varahamihira, Aryabattya, Ptolemy, Hipparchus, MashaAllah, Al-Biruni, Al Kawarizmi, Brahe, Kepler, Newton all PRACTICED astorlogy. So STFU!
"You do know that Tycho Brahe, Johannes Kepler and even Isaac Newton PRACTICED astrology" They lived in an era when there was no distinction between astronomy and astrology. They believed in all sorts of other bunk too. Christianity for a start. Newton was an alchemist, which is now considered an inspiration for chemistry. That doesn't mean it's possible to turn base metal into gold. They were all scientific giants with incredible minds & we stand on their shoulders, however they were ignorant compared to an average high school student of today.

You are very welcome " "Abstract-Shawn Carlson’s 1985 study, published in Nature, which ended with a devastating verdict of astrology, is scrutinized. 1- The design of Carlson’s study violated the demands of fairness and its mode of analysis ignored common norms of statistics. 2- The study’s piecemeal analysis of sub-samples avoided testing the totals for astrological effects, as did the neglect of test power, effect size, and sample size. 3- Nevertheless, a correct reanalysis of Carlson’s two astrological tests reveals that astrologers matched profiles of the California Personality Inventory to natal charts better than expected by chance with marginal significance (threeway forced choice, p = .054), and that a positive result was replicable by a different assessment method (10-point rating, p = .04). 4- The results are regarded as insufficient to deem astrology as empirically verified, but they are sufficient to regard Carlson’s negative verdict on astrology as untenable"
Astrology is fun to indulge in, but on an imaginary scale for me. Like, if a black cat crosses my path I’m not going to be deeply effected by it, but if I’m with someone I might indulge in the idea, “ooh something bad is going to happen!” for fun😂 However, I get a bit annoyed when people say they actually believe in it because in all honesty, the constellations aren’t exactly constant, they just appear constant to us because we’re living in a blink of the universe. Also, the constellations we have now were basically just navigation systems and a means to relieve boredom for ancient civilizations. It’s really narrow and geocentric type thinking.
I do believe that ancient civilization indulge in understanding the Cosmos and how they affect humans on earth but if you take time to really really understand it... it too much of coincidence for it not to be true

It's somewhat of a tragedy to see intellectuals limit themselves due to the perceived norm that astrology falls under the same category as superstition. It is quite absurd to see people mock things they practice every.single.day. like checking the calendar, the time and celebrating birthdays. But i guess most people lead their lives in passive subjugation. True astrology is archetypical and psychological insight and it isn't a science meant to be practiced or known by everyone because its capacity will be diluted by pety human views, like judging someone based on their sun sign, or it becomes a cultural thing ( in india) where one is married off to the most deemed match. It is a tragedy to see how humans can dilute a subject that can deeply enrich the their lives and those around them.
Check out "Explained" on Netflix. It talks a lot about this. Even how our earth's axis has changed since those early "astrologist" were studying the stars. And there is another sign that no one takes note of. But horoscopes were really just made popular by early newspaper authors and people ate it up. It was like a meme im sure. It that gained it popular because people want categorize and make connections that don't necessarily need to be made.
Western Astrology follows the seasons not the constellations. The only scientific study that I’m aware of did no justice to the complexity and accuracy (in my experience) of Astrology. They just passed around a paper that sounds true and said it was a horoscope for their sign which doesn’t prove anything against Astrology per se, it just proves that the person who wrote it was vague and convincing. Astrology is based on a system of symbols. The planets each have their own energy that covers a wide variety of life experiences, they each rule the 12 signs (some signs share a planet), and the houses are based on the time of day you were born. In my opinion, a much stronger study should be done based on all the intricacies of what Astrology provides.

People don’t understand how much more to astrology there is than your sun sign. You could spend years and years reading about the different decans, house systems, aspects, placements, etc. Also it’s very hard for people to understand astrology who are very earthly practical logical thinkers. You need to be someone intuitive to be able to see why someone matches up with their chart. Also the possibility that astrology is real has a lot of merit, considering everything is made of energy, in fact humans are composed of the same matter as stars. Lastly, as with religion, astrology isn’t something that can be proved. So anybody to cuss you out and call you retarded for understanding astrology is as close-minded as it gets.
Yes, Jake you could spend years reading astrology books. You could spend years reading the works of L Ron Hubbard too or the 250 + stories by Stephen King but you’re no closer to demonstrating any truth in those stories because of the number of books published nor their popularity. You are correct on one point though, astrology isn’t something that can be proved. That’s because it’s a hypothesis built around dogma and belief with no basis in reality, otherwise you could test it. Belief or faith is the only requirement when a claim cannot be falsified. If you cannot falsify a claim, then the claim is automatically without merit and it becomes a belief through faith. That which is submitted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. It’s that simple said the apistevist. Plenty of scientific studies have been done in an attempt to demonstrate even the most benign principals of astrology but so far, the only thing discovered is that astrology operates as a predictive mechanism with no outcome greater than luck or chance. I’m not gonna cuss you out or call you retarded because you actually wrote a very good comment here and I thank you for that. I would just invite you to try and only hold as many true beliefs as you can and automatically dismiss anything you hear or read that is not demonstrated or cannot be falsified by the scientific method. Put it in the “possibility basket” in your brain until such time as the claim can be testable, repeatable and falsifiable. That doesn’t mean don’t think about these things or don’t dream up your own hypothetical explanations of what we don’t know about reality, because that’s no fun either. But if it can’t be demonstrated and it can’t be falsifiable scientifically then it’s most probably just an idea and not a truth about the reality in which we find ourselves. Remember, the person you can most easily fool is always yourself. Love only my fellow monkey…
ultramegaroytrombone so when you tell me to dismiss anything I hear or read that cannot be demonstrated I assume you’re talking about religion too right? That’s called nihilism if you think about it. There’s something in me that tells me there’s a greater purpose to life. I don’t get how people can go through life only believing what they see with their bare eyes. And I respect you’re beliefs, but I don’t respect how you urge me to dismiss things that can’t be proven through science
I’m not talking about nihilism and personally I don’t hold that position. Here’s an example of what I’m talking about. If you tell me you put $20 of gas into your car this afternoon, I have no reason not to believe you. If I am challenged on whether your statement is true, I will say that I probably believe that you actually did that. But you could be lying and you could have put $19 of gas into your car, or none at all. Even if you showed me a video of you putting gas into your car plus you showed me a paid receipt, you still may be lying. But it has no real impact on my life, it’s a common occurrence that happens every day, it doesn’t break the laws of physics or anything like that, so I will grant you that it’s probably true. Next you tell me that there’s an invisible fire breathing dragon in your garage that talks to you. For that claim I will need a much higher degree of evidence and I won’t believe such an extraordinary claim at all. If science experts go in and test your dragon and then provide their testable, measurable results for peer review resulting in a consensus of the experts across the world agreeing that your dragon is real, then I will probably believe your claim. That’s where astrology falls. Proper scientific tests have been done and astrology experiments result in statistics no greater than chance or luck. So, what I’m saying is you can automatically dismiss whatever cannot be demonstrated to be true. That should always be the default position and doesn’t mean anything not demonstrated is absolutely 100% false, it just means it hasn’t yet been shown to be true. If you think there’s some greater purpose to life, that’s fine with me. I’m not gonna believe that until there’s some evidence because everybody has a different feeling about what that might be. In the meantime, my purpose is in the here and now of reality and the universe in which I find myself. It’s awe inspiring, mind boggling and wonderful. The next time you’re out on a star filled night, hold a dime between your fingers up to the sky with your arm stretched out and think about the fact that the dime is blocking out your view of 100,000 galaxies behind the dime.
To summarize what you said: if you don't have a 200 IQ, you won't understand astrology, and if you don't believe in something that has no evidence, you're a Republican.
Moon is never retrograde. And planets do not influence human affairs. It is our own actions. Planets are an indicator of time (measure of time based on celestial events or celestial objects). Time gives results of our past actions (planting a seed) and hence "Time" is Destiny. Think about it.
The date one is born undoubtedly affects psychology (Temperature, amount of sun, air pressure, seasons, etc) growing up. I think astrology takes things too far metaphysically, however I think birth date affects one to some extent.

I am truly disgusted by scientists who mock astrology yet they know nothing about it. I’m truly shocked by it. As someone w PhD in engineering who has investigated astrology and the occult world for eons just as a true scientist would, I am truly appalled by how blind and how egotistical and all knowing vast majority of scientists are when they discuss astrology and such topics. The entire eclipse talk here is truly unbelievable. It shows that he doesn’t know anything about the eclipse phenomenon according to occultists and it’s clear he has zero interest in knowing what the whole thing is all about. I highly recommend Niel to go get a proper birth chart reading of himself and 2 people whom he knows very well to see for himself how specific and spooky accurate a birth chart is, no only re past and theme of one’s behaviour and personality, but also as a predictive method. I’m truly appalled.
Thanks for the comment brother but you’re making an appeal to authority fallacy by mentioning your credentials. If I used that yardstick to determine truth, I’d have to automatically believe everything Neil said instead of you because he has better credentials and I certainly don’t want to do that. With all due respect, you spent more time bagging Neil with your comments than you did pointing to any credible evidence to the contrary. Astrology is a believe system at the end of the day and science is the opposite of a belief system. If you have investigated astrology that’s great but your feelings and opinion are not equivalent to having results of experiment published in peer reviewed scientific literature. Those that have published findings on astrology have been scrutinized by the scientific community many times in the past but no credible relationship between astronomical phenomena and reality have ever been demonstrated or established. Astrology has no predictive power, it operates with a frequency for truth no greater than chance and thus its premise has been rejected by the scientific community. If you can’t show it through testable, repeatable scientific experiment then you don’t know it, because you can’t show it, regardless of how much of your confirmation bias makes you think it’s true.

I used to be a heavy doubter of astrology but, I analyze behavior patterns of friends. Funny enough friends of the same zodiac sign had incredible similarities in personality traits. I’ve guessed peoples signs based on things they say, how they say it, how they interact with others and even the way they hold eye contact. My theory is that being born in a certain position on earth during a certain season may effect the way a personality develops. I think its less to do with the stars and more to do with the seasonal experience of life as it relates to the people born the same time as you vs a baby born months later
Have you considered their lifestyle, their family of origin, their environment, economic demographic, the groups they belong to, etc., basically factors that contribute to how they were nurtured?
I think sometimes astrologers can read into things too much. As an astrologer, I've done this in the past when analysing a situation. However, I think it's definitely real. If people really want to know about astrology, they shouldn't take star signs that seriously - They're just the underlying basis of someone's chart and how the solar system is mapped out - What's moving in the solar system is what has much stronger effects. I advise looking at one's houses and aspects to see clear results.

The reason they should both be in same category is because they both fail the scientific test of being falsifiable.
Neither can be tested for their supernatural claims.

If the assassination happens in that month that COUNTS as an Astrological influence or synchronicity.
Aydn of Astro-Action If an event can happen within a range of 10 days from a solar eclipse and you still consider it as valid evidence of both things being linked, then 40 days out of 365 a year would be fair game (10 days before and after each solar eclipse)
365/40 = 9.125.
So the chance of an important event happening within 10 days of a solar eclipse is 1 in 9.125. It's not statistically significant, stop believeing in bullshit.

Samael nonsense
Samael no it’s not. They made a theory based on the light from distance stars that’s on the red spectrum, but it could simply mean the light is « tired ».
They make up whatever theory they can based on the tiny info they have.
Astrology shows that everything was once together and is gradually spiraling out....

The title of this video should be "Neil deGrasse Tyson destroying Astrology in 6 minutes"
Not so fast....WELL.... another significant assassination JUST happened in a lunar eclipse month. That of George Floyd. @@jasoneaton4520 then why is there no proof that it's true and a loot of tests saying it's not?
Who could not love Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Those who confuse being educated with looking stupid for being wrong about what they believed.
His next door neighbour when Neil mows his lawn at 2am....🤔
Ted LaughsAtCreationists this comment didn’t age well
People who KNOW ASTROLOGY ???
I love how he says "Think about it" instead of "Listen to me"
Also, your sign isnt even your sign.
Edit :they're the reason we even know that
Ok so for aspiring/beginner astrology students which are we supposed to be looking at to remain accurate in our readings??

See this is what I find disturbingly different about astrology, most religions actively attempt to convince others, when astrologers get backed into a corner though, all they can say is, "Figure it out yourself". Well let me ask you this then, if someone told me that the story of Noah was true, and I looked into it myself and found out that there was no global flood, there were no kangaroos on this ark, and you couldn't physically build a boat that big that would actually float. But like, what happened to women being into Jesus? At least those women don't prejudge me based on the fucking time I was born and the month. In my experience, they don't even prejudge me for being an Atheist! Christ. At least they're not trying to pigeon-hole me into specific boxes when I'm like, you know...an INDIVIDUAL, maaan.
That might be the hardest I've bit my tongue in my life to not just be like "Listen lady, what in the actual fuck are you doing?". to me you have to approach astrology with a humble mindset. like death and the humility of admitting you don’t know what happens when you die.

Astrology is an outdated practice from when we had no understanding of the universe and the science behind it, its not worth thinking about

Exactly. When D grade astrophysicists forget to do their homework , I do it for them. You are very welcome " "Abstract-Shawn Carlson’s 1985 study, published in Nature, which ended with a devastating verdict of astrology, is scrutinized.
1- The design of Carlson’s study violated the demands of fairness and its mode of analysis ignored common norms
of statistics.
4- The results are regarded as insufficient to deem astrology as empirically verified, but they are sufficient to
regard Carlson’s negative verdict on astrology as untenable"

Like, if a black cat crosses my path I’m not going to be deeply effected by it, but if I’m with someone I might indulge in the idea, “ooh something bad is going to happen!” for fun😂 However, I get a bit annoyed when people say they actually believe in it because in all honesty, the constellations aren’t exactly constant, they just appear constant to us because we’re living in a blink of the universe. Also, the constellations we have now were basically just navigation systems and a means to relieve boredom for ancient civilizations. It’s really narrow and geocentric type thinking.

First of all what the fuck are you talking about.
Beautifully said Maureen, and l never really thought of that, it is diluted by the stupid masses my god most of them are thick...

Moon is never retrograde. And planets do not influence human affairs. It is our own actions. Planets are an indicator of time (measure of time based on celestial events or celestial objects). Time gives results of our past actions (planting a seed) and hence "Time" is Destiny. Think about it.

Not a man to be believed and respected with an open mind to the way things work. Neal deGrasse Tyson is a very closed-minded and pedantic man!
Great scientists are open to other ideas, theories, and creativity. He needs to know that without those Babylonian mathematician/astrologers, we would have never made it to the moon. We would not have math, algebra, calculus, geometry or astronomy. What a sad little man in his hat.
Astrology is nonsense. Get over it.
You must be a Leo lol
He’s a big time Libra 😂😂😂
Statistical Fact : Any critic of Astrology has virtually no understanding of Astrology, not even the basics.
If that would be the other way around, one would conclude the same thing, someone uneducated giving on opinion on something they know nothing about.
There is nothing to understand, it's made up garbage with no scientific merit
RidePuppets4Justice First of all, your close minded and not receptive to any new point of view after what you just said, in other words, disqualified for (civilized)discussion.
Can you give me, right here, right now, a scientific explanation of this FACT: the moon phases affect sleep and behaviour, countless sleep lab studie’s, police reports etc, i have sources or google it.
How can the phase of the Moon affect sleep ? When the moonlight is not a factor, no windows, cloudy, unaware.
Gravity can’t be the factor either because the earth spins in 24 hours and the moon will at least pulling us once a day.
Thank you, if you can that is, be rational and civilized. Or just shout “its garbage” if you wish
@@RifetOkic there are no words that could even begin to make me believe in Astrology, it simply doesn't exist. People don't act a certain way based on the month they were born, it's childish to believe so
One problem i have with astrology is that high quality interpretation is not for free, the best one is without astrological jargon.
It bothers me how many believe the crap thats in the tiny newspaper column, or have superficial knowledge of the sun signs, and how the most “popular” astrologers are indeed garbage. The masses are ignorant and pretty stupid.
RidePuppets4Justice And so you know, i used to think astrology big nonsense too. Untill i found out how complex and harmonious it really is. It’s not about one’s birthday and sun sign.
Time and location of birth show how the solar system was configured at that point.
If you dive deeper in it, you’ll be surprised.
But it’s really something you need to investigate, it’s not really science indeed, who says that ?
