I like the "Happy Dance" for sharp blades ! 😁
I Love those dance moves, Life is good and should be enjoyed. Thank You Ladies!!
It’s a testament to grandpa’s sharpening skills. He meticulously sets the teeth to the proper angle and hone the cutting teeth to perfection. Glad to see you guys sharpening your dancing skills!
Carbide teeth don't get set,, but yeah grampa taking the time and paying attention is a great asset
Well done Grandpa, you are a treasure to your family especially your grandchildren.
Grandpa is serious about doing a good job. Hope you two learn as much as you can from him while you can.
I loved the “Bless our sharpened blade” dance. LOL
So glad to see you two sharing the screen!
Always glad to see your uplifting videos two hard working ladys
This video made me smile like crazy !! THANKS !
Enjoyed the dance moves and seeing your grandpa's sharpening skills working well. Thanks for sharing, best regards.
2 ladies rock a sawmill...Never seen it before! yeah! Great video.
Many greetings from across the Atlantic and best wishes to grandpa.
I love the dance moves.
Great to see your dance skills in action!
Chatter can be caused by going too slow in the cut feed. Speeding the feed rate sometimes will eliminate the problem. Great to see you guys having fun.
Agree. Machinist for 30 years here and assuming your tension is within manufacturers spec, then the first thing to try is increasing your feed rate.
I agree, although wood species and moisture content can affect it also. Making sure the head is absolutely square to the table helps too.
We are the age of your grandfather. We really enjoy seeing you two get along so well. It reminds us of our twin grandsons. They are close too. Keep it up. Love the dancing
After Engineering School(Computer Science) I took my grandmother's advice--- I spent summers with them in my youth. She "mailed" me a letter when I was a junior suggesting I learn a trade after college. She did not invite me to return and work in the family business.
I became one of the finest craftsmen/designers in California. Of course--- that is just what Architects told me. Competition was something less valuable to me than improving every day.
My most fun later in life was after I purchased the largest Stihl chainsaw and milled some huge fallen trees in CA. The largest diameter was around 5 ft. I learned quickly how to hand file the chains. A sharp chain or blade is always a pleasure. Resharpening by others is expensive, not the best cut, and you have to remove the blades.
My son and daughter both, found passion and independence in early adulthood. No expectation to continue my dream of serving the dreams of others. You can see a small slice of my life on my channel.
It is a blessing to witness you girls elegant dance moves/and see jade wonderful smile 🎉❤❤
I'm 1:09 in and i know it will cut like New. I've worked with carbide tooling for 36 yrs, sharpened everything carbide retired now🎉🎉🎉
Very talented the both of you.! Yes definitely the sound of the blade and "chatter" is interesting. I'm still exploring my self in the realm of wood milling. Thank you guys for the info you put out and stay blessed!
Great milling with that blade and, once again, your years in ballet show well.
10 out 10 with the dance moves sisters.
You ladies seem to be having the time of your life. Good for you. Much respect.
LCLY just keeps getting better ❤Have a great day 📹👌👍😉from 🇨🇦
Love your videos. I run a Cook's A36, and currently setting up a 1940's Frick Size "0" circular mill. Carbide tips usually are not as sharp of a rake angle. However, they are much harder than a carbon steel. It all boils down to..rock, paper, scissors...they do hold their edge longer. Keep up the great content! God Bless you and your family.
Thanks for the video! You two work & have fun together, seamlessly. Have a great evening.
nice one, smooth blade, smooth dance moves, oh and those planks look great too!
Kudos to Grandpa for figuring out how to set up that machine and getting great results! Also, you girls obviously took dancing classes!
It's all in the sharpener 🎉 if Cut right, it will be like brand new...it's carbide 🎉
You Young Ladies 🚺 took Ballet ? When you were little ?
You two are the most beautiful and entertaining woodworkers in the world.
So glad Y’all can have a good time while working. Great video. I think I’ll try and have a little fun at the mill tomorrow. Y’all made my day.
Smooth moves in the lumber dance hall!!
Out in Burbank, California..there is a production going on of
" Foot loose, the musical"! You 2 can celebrate it's anniversary, right there
in your yard..orrrr...go there n become dance stars!!?? Lol!!
C ya on the next
video !!
🤙🐺🧙♂️👍
that movie is a blast from the past. 1984 When people knew how to dance without breaking anything.
Another learning watch. Fun watch for your fun times too.
Oh my.... I just love the dance, the more I see of you girls, the more I am impressed by you, so good, and nice!
A proper RE-sharpen will be your best cut. Fresh from the factory are good but they're automated. Grandpa is paying attention to each tooth and will just get better as he goes through the learning curve..
Grandpa, being family, also has a lot more personal investment in his work. only the best for his granddaughters !! :-)
All you can do is keep track of log footage and monitor the way it cuts. Sometimes you change blades to maintain the quality of your cut vs waiting until it's so dull you start seeing or hearing the change. Perhaps changing mid shift might make sense perhaps you can run longer. Your mill, your business, your decision. Nice dance moves. 😂😂
Great job on the dancing! You girls are amazing! Great to see the all the talent you have!
I am a Canadian but I love your hoodie. God Bless from your Canadian Friend.
I only use carbide blades and bits and they are the best. Excellent job ladies thank you for sharing.👍♥️♥️
Really enjoyed the dance moves.
Another great video from the two hardest working lumbergirls on UA-cam.
Great dancing. Love watching you guys having fun together. Thanks
Nice dance session there while waiting for time to pass. Ya'll have practicing I see. Totally unexpected, but totally enjoyable. Keep us wondering! Thanks!
Nice congrats dance and cudo's to Gramps. The success to a perfect blade sharpening is getting the burrs off. That would been unrealistic for such a blade but Gramps somehow made that unnecessary. I watched him sharpening that blade and I don't remember seeing him flat file the backs of the teeth to remove the burrs from the front side sharpening- I could be wrong but..... You go! Can't wait for your next update.
Nice moves young ladies !! 💃🪵👣👣
Awesome sawyers and great dance moves to boot. Great video.
Good job ladies!!!👍
Great introductions!
American flags and trees make me happy too homie ✌️😇
Thanks for sharing 🍸. Excellent intermission 🎉
Awesome video guys! You guys are always doing some thing work related so it’s nice to see you have some fun as well! Capital dancing logyard!
I am currently building a 12 x 12 off grid cabin on the back side of our 100 acre property overlooking a creek. I am using rough cut lumber from a LT 50 with the diesel engine. Local sawyer has two of them. All the wood has come from the same machine. 2x4, 2x6, 2x8 and a 4x6 ridge beam. I am amazed how uniform all the dimensions are. Your Grandfather knows his stuff. Careful with those blades. The guy running the saw my wood came from has a bad scar on his face and arm from a blade he was twisting to collapse for storage and it sprang back on him. Took a lot of stitches to patch him up so be careful. Got to hit on you a little cause you have beautiful eyes...
Loved the dance, today !
Hard work and Quality entertainment too, what a combination.
You have interesting soul, very enjoy to watch your videos been watch since pandemic
Looks like you girls are having fun that’s all it matters
woo hoo that looked fun good job!
These two young ladies are true beauties and life skills to accomplish their ambitions in life
Laughing out Loud. Caught me napping. Did not expect that. Shout out to your Parents and Grandparents. They Raised you Right!😎
Emerald here is a idea you and the family should make a music video about the log yard
The dance. Routines are brightening everyone's days
The dance was awesome. Love it
The dance break was fun it reminded me of a couple of the places I had jobs where the workers were Asian, at break time they all would do different activities in groups, badminton, walks and some dance.
Moovin and groovin, great job!
Looking good ladies !!
Excellent planned cut @4:45. Easily seen that it's well done when you get to the middle. PLUS, and it's a big one... Nice Dancing!
The dance interlude was pretty funny.
on that sharpen video I saw granpa doing multiple rounds, with very light cuts. This will improve accuracy a whole lot. Maybe at the manufacturer they take deeper cuts, to make sure they sharpen the blade in one go? And perhaps they got some way of buffing the ends out too, or just have multiple grits of stones, making the teeth sharper, but perhaps not as balanced
Great video.
Love your videos, actually heartworming ladies. Great fun dance moves, appreciate real life people including the fabby chowing down gramps meat grilling. Thats real life family gatherings. Thank You Greg and Cody my cat.😊
YOUR LOGO REMINDS ME OF THE TREE OF LIFE UNDER OUR DOME
That was good. You need the whole crew doing those moves.
Thank you yet again
Loved the dance Ladies!👍🤙🤎
I could really feel Grandpa behind the cam leading your choreography. Guitar, dance, chef and serious McGiver fix anything skills. One of a kind that one. More dance please!
You two are awesome…..enjoy all your videos…….
I can't wait for Summer.
Grandpa did a great job, nice dancing ❤
That American flag design on the back of a Carhardt Hoodie is AWESOME!
Emerald got the heart jade got the rhythm. Great video 💪
Great dance routine! 😊
Hello, hugs from Brasil.
Look into a Stellite/Cobalt tipped blade. Sharpens with a CBN wheel or synthetic ruby wheel. Almost as hard as carbide and less expensive to maintain.
Love you two!
Milling AND a show---doesn't get any better than that !!!
The blade is cutting fine. Since I don't see outer jackets, I suppose the weather is warm. And warm-up break in the middle of work. (Hi from Belarus. Harry Davidson).
Enjoyed your happy dance. Grampa👍👍👍
Awesome as always, dance just made it better. Ya'll are great
How many blades do you need to resharpen before you break even?
Love the choreography!
Dance fever! Thanks for sharing.
I had the same questions you raised in the video. How long will the newly sharpened blade stay sharp? How many total sharpenings? How will it compare to regular blades? Yeah, cuts do look smooth. Finally saw the genesis of the cool dance moves after losing you guys from my feed.
Really liked the dancing ... Keep the awesome videos coming . Always enjoy them..
Loved the Dance Routine. Very enjoyable video.
Yes
Great dance routine girls! Love your channel! Be safe around all of that equipment.
A saw blade chattering in deep cuts and harder grain wood is normal. Its called wash boarding. You usually see it most where grain densities are the hardest, usually bell ends and knots. The blade is vibrating like a guitar string. Just slow down in those areas and the washboarding will decrease or go away. Sawyer, sawfiler for 25+ here.
That was awesome! More sync dances!
Thats GREAT!!!
❤❤ Love from Denmark
You Guys Rock!!!!!!
Chatter marks are often caused by a phenomenon called I believe, a beat frequency or similar! You get it with many types of cutters with even numbers of teeth, such as reamers and metal milling cutters! Skip tooth or uneven spacing of teeth, break this tendency! It can start by bounce, or machine vibrations that get imported into the cutter, in this case the blade itself! It would be quite difficult to have skip tooth saw blades from a sharpening point of view! Hope this sheds some light for your dilemma? Cheers
you usin the right emotes🤩💛🤩
