This reminds me of an old quip. " I love work. I could sit and watch it for hours. "
I love the videos where you and Jade are able to talk with each other
LOL, you are sisters for sure, you sound Exactly alike. Nice to hear Jade talking more.
Did I just spend 16 minutes watching 2 people painting log ends?? And enjoyed it.
It is nice seeing younger generation people who work hard and enjoy it.
The 2 of you could paint both sides using a roller in less than 20 min....just sayin!😊 love your content! Keep it up!
one of those paint-filled roller sticks. time is money.
A roller is quite difficult on end grain logs, even more so wet ones. Can end up slowing you down as you need to get some isolated spots with the brush.
The end sealing helps prevent end checks and splits. You want to limit the amount of exposed fresh cut areas. That’s where the moisture will escape from first and fastest.
You gals are really stepping up to the plate for your family. That is so honorable.
Shepherds always amaze me. They will always watch your back when you’re working. Mine does it all the time and it was never trained. Cute puppy!
Thallona is a vary good dog! Thallona is already vary attached to Emerald, you can see that in some of the pictures. German Shepards instinctively look out for their loved ones!
Lumber yard ladies rock.
You should try using a 4” roller for that. I think it would be much faster
With a short extension handle, like on a windshield squeegee at the gas station. Gives a little more reach, but not excessive. Can be unscrewed if necessary. 👍🏼
Coffee, the only pick me up that's here to stay...
Coffee! You can sleep when you're dead!
Diet Dew flows in my veins. I may be part Vulcan by now!! 😂😂
So dramatic, A warm fire 🔥 and a book 📙. 👍
The benefits after work. 🙋
The puppy made me smile from ear to ear 😊
I don't use anchor seal anymore..... I just go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy their screwed up latex paint paint where they mixed to wrong color for a customer. Get it for next to nothing! Seals the logs just fine.
The log purchaser supplies the sealer. Our part is the application. …Boss Man.
Thank You all.....
It’s cool that you’re best friends and work so well together.
Maybe its just me but you guys are loving that puppy.
use a small 3 in roll, it will be a little quicker
Yip it's a fact: you can even make watching paint dry exciting. Thank you ladies (and pup)
Rollers work wonderful
Pro tip. Use a 6" roller frame and a 3/8" nap roller. Screw the roller frame onto a broom handle. Pour the paint into a 5 gallon pail. Carefully dip the roller into the paint but don't plunge it. Carefully roll the roller across the top of the paint. Then roll the paint onto the log end. This should cut your time into much less than an hour.. set up two rollers on handles and two pails for even faster completion. When done pour remaining paint into can(s). Clean the rollers or remove them from the frame in a zip loc bag. Close and place rollers into the freezer for next time.
You're killing me.
Those roller grids for 5 gallon buckets work well.
@walterbrob ... yes you can
... or just pour a 1/2 -1" layer of paint on the pail... can use a paint tray, too. But I am giving the benefit of my experience, which is considerable.
This whole Family from Grandpa on down are very Hard workers and very intelligent
Happy! Friday ladies. Nice to here Jade talk more.
That puppy is an adorable addition to the family and channel.
I fell in love with your pup "helping" in the background before either of you sisters said anything! When the two of you are together it is "only" wonderful; but now that you have allowed your darling pup in the background, the videos are truly Excellent. I can only imagine what they will be like when you get your brother to sneak out in front of the camera. Seriously, you are wonderful entertainers and it is something wonderful to watch you "just" being part of the family business. Keep it up. I am thrilled to watch grow even if I am on the other side of the country! You ALL mean so much to me, and I have a growing selection of merch to prove it.
Thanks for sharing 🍸.
Coffee always tastes better outside in the cold.
Awesomeness Truespeak Thank You For All You Do LCLY Style ❤🌲🔥🇺🇸🆙
Good job ladies n miss
pupper!! Thanks!
👍🐺🧙♂️🤙
You could all be making doughnuts and we would all still watch!!! Brilliant family.xx
a few years ago,I fell and broke my dominant (right ) arm. forcing me to use my left hand to operate my computer mouse. the learning curve was steep
Use a paint roller much faster.
Thanks a bunch Ladies for answering my question 🙋 last video 😂 🔥 in this post
Thx for sharing
I didn't drink coffee until I started working. Today I can't be without it and I also enjoy a good cup of coffee. I'm sure the color also helps against red noses... 😁 Have a nice weekend ladies!
Hey I forgot, earlier I noticed you two were tri-podding this video. I always have to use a tri-pod or base of some sort. In the shot that starts at 2:05. You could set up a multi camera holding tripod like the Leofoto TDC-32. Then face one camera at each of you. That way you can get the closer up shots. Makes editing a blast. Opens lots of creative venues to imagine. You can get strategic with placements so you don't see the tripod in the shots.
Have a great day! .
Nice job Ladies , like it a lot .
Love the pup!!!!
Coffee: Nectar of the Gods!
Impressed with Em's one legged balancing act, shucking the boot with no hands to show the sponsor's product in that cold PA wind was above and beyond, were there bloopers where you fell or did you just ace it 1st try ? I was wondering about the purpose of end sealing those logs... does that sealer avoid or limit rates of moisture loss so it reduces cracking or checking ?
They are ballet trained!
Have you ever thought of using a small paint roller and tray to paint those logs? It can cut your painting time by almost 50%.
Great video!
Glad to see you standing behind a product. I heard it said that the only product Ford would not stand behind was their manure spreader. :)
thank you
Rollers and sprayers are good for speed but bad for content. Hope your coffee sales are a hot seller.
Sorry, but I disagree about sprayers. I sprayed hundreds and hundreds of 40ft container loads of logs going overseas. Both with garden pump sprayers and gas powered sprayers. You can dilute the Anchorseal with some water and spray so much faster and have a better coverage. Buying it by the 55 gal drum would be optimal for price, but I don't know if they do that much. I'm sure 5 gal buckets have to be cheaper than 1 gal cans.
@@ronallen6578 not understanding your disagreement since I said sprayers are good for speed.
Why don't you use a mini whiz roller in the small paint buckets you get at the paint store?
It would be much quicker!
Great video!!! Enjoyed it! Stay warm!!!
Looking forward to checking out the socks. Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you Ladies for another awesome video ❤.
Love you and have a GREAT WEEKEND 👍 ❤
The only time where I enjoyed watching paint dry! Well, sealer anyways! ❤ Love love the pup!
Thank you for putting the precious pup in the warm truck. He was.cold.
I doubt that Thallona was cold in that weather and moving around. However sleeping at night is a different thing.
My go-to coffee is dunkins French vanilla. It's all I drink.
Any coffee is okay, just not decaf!
Goodness gracious, you two make it look good!❤❤❤
Missed a spot 😂
Beautiful. Loved this. Those socks looks comfortable. Must try them someday.
this was cool 😁
team breon
Hey there Emerald and Jade. Been watching your videos for couple of months now. I am up there in years now and work in construction (not corporate but for myself). I am halfway through this video and one thing I have learned about getting each and every phase done is that "It Takes What It Takes". "Keep on Truckin' " .
Next to water coffee is the most consumed beverage in the world. Excellent job ladies thank you for sharing. Stay warm.👍♥️♥️
16 minute videos are awesome.
Thanks beautiful ladies.
Bet it feels strange painting in the winter ✌ ❤😊!
Ballet helped with balance showing off the socks.
EMERULD JADE THAT PUPY IS SO CUTE TO😊😊😊
You all love your Coffee ☕️ as much as I do. 😅
Nothing wrong with a little brush work, gets into crevices better. Rollers would be quicker and probably give a more even coat and use less material, sprayer would be a bad option on a windy day [probably the same wind that hit here in MI the other day, was blowing things off my porch] Keep up the good work, pups looking good !
Maybe using a paint roller would quicker?
Hey everyone!
I totally forgot to tell you I got my LCLY gear. That carhart winter coat, the thick one, is amazing! I don't know the accurate name for it. The one you're always wearing Emerald. It's the nicest one I've ever owned. I think I've owned 2 or 3 but they always get jacked someone. I won't lose this one 🤞
I bought an external drive, and decided to scrap the first "Premiere" video and go in a different direction. I'm still going to make it. It just turned into a bigger project than I expected. Maybe two hours, I don't know. I'm not a professional film maker or anything but, there's a lot to pack into it. Kind of a biography. So I'm trying to make something so you all can me for who I am that won't take a year to make and 2 hours to watch. And not just a picture. 😊 Should be soon, I promise.
Have a great night everyone, Especially you two Emerald and Jade.
Oh yeah, it was great seeing the two of you work together and share the screen, and lines. Teamwork! F%^$ Yeah!
joining the Ladies for a coffee break
Good work and looking lovely girls💜💜
🙂🙃😀 Absolutely loved it! Pat Thallona on the head for me!
Cute puppy.
Thank you, keep working.
I find that my left hand, not the hand I write with, is actually amazing, it does all kinds of things without explicit direction that is way more accurate then the explicit permissions hand. For example, I learned how to drive with a manual transmission, which meant my right hand was always consciously focused on what gear I was in, my left hand had steering.
With so many logs to seal, why not use a roller?
You want to seal completely the end of Log
I wanna cup of coffee from your channel and I want it right now! People want to give back. After watching billions of channels it's no longer confusing.
Nice Job Ladies 🚺
Thanks for the great video ladies, can't wait to try that LCLY coffee. Have a warm and restful weekend! TTFN
UC coatings. Anchor seal 2 is what we use
I like using a 4 inch paint roller and a wood handle. Much easier on the back and quicker. :)
Any time is good coffee time.
I wear Darn tough socks USA made in Vermont, great socks. I may have to try your grip 6 socks and compair them. I have a feeling they are both well made.
Hey y’all a 6” roller would probably cut that job time in half. 😉
Another fun episode of.
Logging barbie 1# and 2#
With side kick, bruno and paw-paw.
.
It's Fri after sundown so..
Shabbat shalom.
You should get a couple of Folgers coffee cans to pour the sealer paint in. They have a built in handle, your not holding a full gallon so it's lighter and you can put the lid on for storage. I use them when I am brush painting.
Wouldn't it be faster to use rollers?
That would go a lot faster if you used paint rollers.
But if we used to paint rollers, then we would have to pour it into a tray, and with no way to wash the rollers or the tray, it’s a lot easier to use paint brushes and dip it right in the can
Actually it's easy to do. If you go to Lowe's. The Home Despot, or probably the hardware place where you're putting in the hardwood section, you can get a roller screen. It's a screen specifically made to be put into a 5 gallon pail. I used to use old joint cement pails. They always have a lid. You pour the paint from the regular paint pail into the 5 gallon pail and continue to leave it in that pail. You can leave the roller screen in the pail also.
For a roller, you should use the small 4 or 6 inch long rollers that use the small paint roller covers. You simply dip the roller with the roller cover on it into the paint and roll it up and down a time or two on the screen to get an even amount of paint on it, and paint the end of the log. The paint will go on much faster, more evenly, that covers the log better. When you finish painting, just scrape the excess paint off the roller into the pail, put the cover on the pail, take the roller home and wash it in the sink. Those rollers are only an inch and a bit in diameter, and they are relatively inexpensive. Not much more than those chip brushes you are using.
You should probably set up 2 pails like that, so the 2 of you can still continue the conversation between the 2 of you as you paint, and at least one of you can still paint the puppies nose. You can get the 5 gallon pails with a lid for a couple of bucks at the box store.
This might look better in the video, but more importantly the logs would have better paint coverage on them. Your customer would think that is a good idea.
That was a fun video, but don't let the SPCA see you painting the puppies nose.
Emerald is not about work she screws around so much that jade does most of the work, just go back and watch the videos shoveling, edging, firewood, jade does the work and emerald takes credit. Just look at the closing graphic see who is labeled the assistant.
Use a paint roller ,much faster.
You know that painting the log cut ends with ceiling wax is part of your overhead. I know, crushing it. Ha ha. Happy Weekend!
Neeeed a HUG!!!!
❤❤❤
Use a pump sprayer and reduce your time in the cold
... rattle cans are a little more expensive but if held the proper distance from the log on a windless day provide a fine mist that gets into the little cracks, in a fraction of the time. An update on the skitter, please...
You both NEVER FORGET Mr. Miyagi´s Lessons! Keep the balance between both sides
Holy moly!
How did you balance on one leg that long!
Both Emerald and Jade are dancers. In less restrictive clothes they can likely stand on one foot and put the other foot over their head.
@@scottsoper That’s impressive!
You can try and use a garden weed sprayer
Backpack pump sprayer like a Oregon 518769. Under $50. One sprays the other works it in with a big ass 7" angled deck brush ($15) that you can screw a broom handle or extension pole into. Would have that pile done in 15 minutes both sides without any bending down.
Nice balance on one foot , yall need to set up a campaign promo deal with your fav coffee company big $$$ maybe. also paint with a roller or spray gun,
