oh wow you might have been there when I was there which was from 1984 to 1990, I do visit sometimes as I have some Greek friends up in Paroulades area, I nearly married a Corfu man i the 1980's but didn't in the end and came home to UK, my Greek is not bad.

Yeah looks like I could have passed you in the street in 1989, I often visited Acharavi, Roda and Sidari back then and I was also there in May this year for a short 3 day trip, now I am older I found that I struggle with the heat.

Let me be honest, your blog is far from perfect, but that doesn't bother me because you are nice guy. I am glad that someone finally said that Corfu is free from refuges. Pretty much everyone I know tried to stop me and my girlfriend from going to Corfu, finally she called up embassy and they told he that its perfectly save to go, so we booked it couple of moths ago, and we shall reach Corfu and stay in Dassia for a week on the 10th of April. All the Beast All and Keep up a good work.

Hi George, Maybe but you never know whats happening in Greece. I wish they would go back to the Drachma, it may have been almost worthless but at least you felt rich !!! Al
Do not make such dreams because you will be disapointed ! Although many people in Greece and abroad thought that because of the financial crisis and depression years ( 2009 -) they will come in Corfu and buy real estate and buildings for nothing, the reality showed that although in most of Greece prices fell in a perpendicular way, Corfu maintained the prices in the same level as before and even in very many instances prices augmented !

Well congratulations to you, they were both really beautiful places. I've been considering buying something in Greece lately but every time I do people tell me to be careful that the market could get worse if Greece leaves the EU or something, but to me prices seem to be increasing, so it's really hard to know when is the best time to buy!
Hi kc4rl, I have lived here in Corfu for nearly 30 years for 20 years I was in the property profession, my experience has been the time to buy is never perfect, Prices hit rock bottom about 5 years ago I could not give a property away, they have slowly improved to the point where sellers can blow out silly offers that greedy potential buyers were making. It is no where near back to where it was, BUT, now in my opinion is as good a time to buy as any. We do not know what will change for buyers after Brexit, but we know what it is like now. Al

1st house has Asbestos. Great! 4.10 min.And insecurity because of the ruin next door. 2nd self contained 6 min basement has no terra or deck. So to rent is a downfall.
Most old houses have some elenete in the roof usually buyers replace roofs when renovating. Your other comments waste of space. In any event this property has had total renovation and is no longer available
This makes a crap neighborhood in New York look good. Keep it Corfu is for you!
