There is a pretty good chance, since the land is public, that the place was built to be used by rangers or even people who might get lost. They do this a lot in the wilderness here in Alaska and the rangers usually keep the buildings stocked with snack type foods that last for a long time. You'll also find stuff other people leave there like books and coffee and pots to boil water for drinking. There was one we found that someone had actually put a small generator in with cans of gasoline with small electric heaters and electric blankets and a radio.

Could tell by the reflection on the tile on the kitchen counter, that it had been wiped down in the last few days. I would bet someone was hunkered down close by, watching every move the cameraman made. Probably heard that SUV a few miles off, and grabbed a handful of things and went to their lookout place, to set and hide, until the intruders left. Mighty lucky to get out of there with their lives.
What if some random person exploring the house changed the battery in the clock just to mess with the next person exploring the house? That'd be hilarious!
BadPete999 Someone probably doesn’t live there because there’s not even sheets on the bed and it looks like they haven’t taken a bath in that bathroom and there’s no running water in a long time
When I was younger We found a house like this in the woods, not as nice, looked abandoned . We went back to look around more and got chased out by a guy living in it. Someone definitely comes here from time to time
When I was a kid we found an abandoned shack the size of a tool shed maybe and it was filled floor to ceiling with romance novels. I read a lot of them. I was like 8-10 lol I still wonder why anyone Would fill and abandon a shack full of romance novels 🤷♀️
A battery clock can last on one battery for a year or two depending on how efficient it is, i think that since its on public land, its a sort of safehouse for people who get lost, car broke down in the middle of nowhere kind of stuff, that is maintained every now and then by locals or something like that.

My uncle has a house in the middle of nowhere and because he was abroad working the garden and road up it started to look a bit neglected. One day he got a email linking and his house was on you tube "abandoned house with cars and everything left". People where going through his house amazed that there was power, water, clothes and TV and paper work as well as other personal stuff still left in the house as well as the keys to his two cars. I have to tell you, I've been binge watching you and your girls for days now and I'm OBSESSED!!! I love your adventures and the time you spend with your girls. The places you find are so amazing! Thank you for sharing your life!!
That's for sure what it's used for amo box and antlers everywhere. Once a year they come out for a week or two and probably once a month to maintain the building for hunting my hubby has a cabin he goes out to just like that during hunting season.
Where are places like this? I would love to take a step back in time and just look at everything in person.. it's so amazing .. all these little time capsules sprinkled everywhere for us to see.. how do we find them tho?!? We're so ready to explore!!
Looks to me like it's a Hunters cabin. But given that it said public, I was thinking it's like a Cabin you can rent. Who knows, maybe the tunnels lead to Mexico and the Narcos own it
My grandfather had a similar fridge from the 1950s or earlier. Funny thing is, it still works. Whenever we would go there he would ask "Can I get you a Coke?" He died in August, I miss him.
2015 Game Management Units map.. BLM or F&W rangers must use it. There's no need to have rangers stationed 24/7 in remote areas with little traffic. They probably just stay their seasonally during the hunting season for that unit. That's my best guess anyway.
I know this video is years old. But I think that place is a volunteer cabin. People, usually a small group, do the upkeep. They leave everything there, and hope other visitors respect it as a sort of time capsule. Was there an American flag there? If it's hanging outside it means someone is staying there overnight or a few days. The volunteers allow others to stay there. It's a first come, first served kind of thing. There should be a log book in which you can write who you are and your stay. All they ask is you don't trash the place and keep it clean for the next visitor to enjoy. Cabins like these are all over the Nevada and California desert. You can use the food and first aid supplies, leave food or water as well for the next visitor. I think it's a cool place. Some of the volunteer cabins are pretty rustic and bare bones but livable for a few days if needed. This place is a luxury abode!
Luxus Carnage that's probably true. At 6:22 when he's looking through the droor I think there's something he didn't want to show on camera cause he looks for a seconds and puts the droor back in
Looks like someone has probably been there in the last year since the clock is still running and the radio still works.. The batteries would probably have corroded much past that. It would be an amazing place to be at night to see the stars and be away from all of the city noise.
npsit1 you'd be surprised, I came across a clock stuck in a wall of a house that was built in the early 1980' The clock was dropped in the dry wall but still worked and was keeping correct time for over 20 years.
its probably something like a hunters cabin where people are welcome to just come by and stay... may not have been used in a while but.... just a thought
That is definitely a worthy safe house. I mean, sometimes it doesn’t make sense to have a safe house in the middle of nowhere. Having nothing around you. You’re more exposed that way. However, in this case. That would definitely be a safe house I would like to go if I was in trouble.
I feel that in these and other videos you should be looking inside of boxes, checking books for copyright dates, and investigating the top layer of materials more thoroughly. At several sites you've found national geographic magazines and they all state their date on the binding, but you don't zoom in on that. Lead acid batteries are often marked with a date in some way, but you don't investigate those either. I think you do good exploring work, but that you could be more thorough. I kinda wish I could be standing right behind you to investigate the things you pass over. Like in that video about the dead guy. You went there, and next time you went back there were freaking sausages on the table. I'd set up trail cams and shit to try and figure out more. You're very, very good and the stuff you produce is extremely fascinating, but there is room for improvement.
Iluvquadbike, Thank you for the tip, there is always room for improvement and I appreciate you taking the time to give me some feedback. Sometimes if there is a lot of rodent droppings, we try to not disturb it. We have since gotten some rubber gloves and foot coverings so we can more safely explore areas with rodent droppings. :-)
My guess is it is a hunting camp and maybe beta site set up by a group of survivalist and/ or military / militia. probably used for weekends 3-4 times a year and annual training. We appreciate your not disclosing the locations specifically and the fact you observe and do not destroy. People who are in danger and in need of temporary shelter, welcome. Many times in the camps we leave hand VHF/UHF radios tuned to local law enforcement freq's, a list of other freq's to try, and instructions in case of emergencies.
A lot of parks and public lands in the 40s through 60s allowed people to build homes with 59 year leases, nonrenewable. When they ran out often people just left, often with everything unimportant in it. Others would move in until they were eventually torn down, I'm imagining that's what this is.
Before you trespass on a stranger's property, you should remember that there are people in rural areas that would do you in for that and the desert is a good place to dispose of your despicable remains!
Probably a stock house or survival home for people that get lost or someone that needs shelter in case of emergency. There’s tons of places like this here in Washington.
this adventure was very scary and crazy to be out there. I admire your courage to drive so far in terrible conditions. I’m a chicken I’m glad people like you do videos so we could see all the adventure.
sailor blaufuss, Trump isn't even in office yet and he has already increased relations with 15 countries. Including Russia, who had the biggest nukes and military power. It's the Hillary supporters you should be afraid of. They are rioting, burning our flag, burning businesses, destroying property, and beating trump supporters.
This would be the best place to hide in a zombie apocalypse, but there is a downside. supplies and water and food, but if you had a jeep or a truck then maybe you could go to Town and get stuff quickly.
Of course I'm 3 years too late (lmao) but I've been recently binge watching your videos and you have some really great content. However!--And you'll probably tell me to take my paranoid-ass out of here for saying this-- I'd be really careful about the places you explore. Sometimes people stumbles upon places and things that they're not meant to see, especially in a isolated area, never to be heard from again. So, please PLEASE be careful.
Why wouldn't you make yourself known? Did you forget that things can go bad. Police officers often enter houses and are taken as a threat for not identifying themselves. Keep that in mind, it might save you.

I’m loving this video! I normally come to see y’all for the true crime videos but I think this is my new favorite. What an adventure! You guys are brave!
I really hope that the reason that the camper was all torn up wasn't because someone left a poor dog inside and it was trying to claw its way out for days until it died. Anyone else think of this horrible scenario after seeing the dog house before he viewed the camper
my main question after seeing all these videos of houses like this out in the middle of nowhere is....how did these people buy and get a house built out there? Im actually interested, it seems so far out in the middle of no where that it would never get purchased or used for housing but lo and behold it does.

Who is Walter White?

Something nefarious is going on.
Who knows, maybe the tunnels lead to Mexico and the Narcos own it
You'd love Northern New Mexico then.
Plot twist, someone still lives here and loves expired food.
Stack E. Stackerson plot twist the 2013 stuff was just placed there to throw off urban explorers.
+RedLight GreenArrow is the ghost living in that house eating
They died of listeriosis
haha
My grandfather had a similar fridge from the 1950s or earlier. Funny thing is, it still works. Whenever we would go there he would ask "Can I get you a Coke?" He died in August, I miss him.
BMoney8600 sorry man. I remember when I visited my dad’s grandparents they still have one of those fridges in the back.
Sorry for your loss. We had a old deep freeze from the early 70s we lost this year, it was still working but the door rusted and fell off.
Back when they built a refrigerator to last... Not like the crap they build today!
u had ur very own grandfather?!
i had to settle for a part time / timeshare grandfather that was a pepsi drinker! fuggin rollback discount bs g pa!!
My grandfather had one like that too. I think he still has it.
If you’re using a drone to look at the property, I wonder who’s using a drone to look at you?
Did you guys ever go back to see if anyone lived there, its crazy to me how clean the place was.
2015 Game Management Units map.. BLM or F&W rangers must use it. There's no need to have rangers stationed 24/7 in remote areas with little traffic. They probably just stay their seasonally during the hunting season for that unit. That's my best guess anyway.
I cannot stop binge-watching... you are living my dream. my brain is in overload wanting to know the history of all these places!
Yessss same, exact same!! 🙌
The battery operated clock is still ticking. Couldn’t have been that long since someone was in that house
This place is a luxury abode!
squatters wouldnt have cuban cigars. its likely a safe house/staging point of some sort.
sosocrazy1234 My thoughts exactly.
sosocrazy1234 This definitely looks like a safe house. Cartel members and organized criminals are staying there when needed.
Luxus Carnage that's probably true. At 6:22 when he's looking through the droor I think there's something he didn't want to show on camera cause he looks for a seconds and puts the droor back in
wtf is a staging point
Looks like someone has probably been there in the last year since the clock is still running and the radio still works.. The batteries would probably have corroded much past that. It would be an amazing place to be at night to see the stars and be away from all of the city noise.
npsit1 you'd be surprised, I came across a clock stuck in a wall of a house that was built in the early 1980'
The clock was dropped in the dry wall but still worked and was keeping correct time for over 20 years.
One visitor noted many rattlesnakes.
4 years shelf life for batteries and 3 years after expiry before they leak, My clock can manage 8 years from a single battery and not leak
You guys have balls of steel. I'm terrified watching this, whilst lying in my bed.
He carries an AR 15.
It seems to me that someone might actually still stay there..that clock is still working..geoceries in the fridge
The groceries are about 4 years old . Plus the water is off in there.
And batteries can also last a few years, depends.
when he said this would be a great place to hide out in I immediately thought of the book THE OUTSIDERS
Evan Solazzo lmao
Evan Solazzo literally my favorite book.
Evan Solazzo I love that book
its probably something like a hunters cabin where people are welcome to just come by and stay... may not have been used in a while but.... just a thought
Keep someone to guard your back. It's too risky.
That is definitely a worthy safe house. I mean, sometimes it doesn’t make sense to have a safe house in the middle of nowhere. Having nothing around you. You’re more exposed that way. However, in this case. That would definitely be a safe house I would like to go if I was in trouble.
You have the word's "Safe house" after a job lie low for a few weeks and relax until the heat is off.
Armando Silvier what? no
Iluvquadbike That video you're talking about.. I screamed at my screen for them to read us the diary like 30 times!! Lol
Bart Sloot q
Iluvquadbike I know😂. When he went back, and the sausages were there, I freaked, but he didnt say anything about it being creepy. So I felt better ☺
I didn't notice any dust. I hope whoever owns it keeps on taking care of it.
zztimemom mom its public land no one owns it
Dude, I just came across this…what a great find. Well done! Last time I explored anything similar, someone popped out and I ran like hell.
People rent I'm the government to run cattle and they have houses like that all over Nevada in Arizona and some in Utah
My guess is it is a hunting camp and maybe beta site set up by a group of survivalist and/ or military / militia.
probably used for weekends 3-4 times a year and annual training. We appreciate your not disclosing the
locations specifically and the fact you observe and do not destroy. People who are in danger and in need
of temporary shelter, welcome. Many times in the camps we leave hand VHF/UHF radios tuned to local law
enforcement freq's, a list of other freq's to try, and instructions in case of emergencies.
Michael Avery that’s a pretty decent thing to do actually
Didn’t understand a shit
Yeah. Right. Sure.
Im watching this and I start to think---damn I half expect some crazy dude in a wheel chair rolling out and saying "Its supper time"

lol!
Living off grid for sure. That was pretty cool to see. Thanks for the video.
this adventure was very scary and crazy to be out there. I admire your courage to drive so far in terrible conditions. I’m a chicken I’m glad people like you do videos so we could see all the adventure.
The "tools" on the porch are for hanging deer. My guess is hunting cabin.
What would they hunt all the way out there though?
Herds love land like that. Antelope, deer, maybe even elk.
What are they hunting in the Nevada desert besides cougar?
Jesika Jamez Nevada has a lot of big game and looks he whoever lived there had mule deer antlers on the porch.
@@jesikajamez8768 theyre hunting whatever the cougar is hunting.
Someone is saving this place for when the zombie apocalypse hits 😜😜
Katie Price or for Trump's presidency
Katie Price probably🤐
sailor blaufuss, Trump isn't even in office yet and he has already increased relations with 15 countries. Including Russia, who had the biggest nukes and military power. It's the Hillary supporters you should be afraid of. They are rioting, burning our flag, burning businesses, destroying property, and beating trump supporters.

It's like playing resident evil but for real. Kudos to you guys. Who the hell would have a place all the way out there?
Should of looked in the 55gallon drums. That’s where the iceman killer would leave his victims, back in the 70’s.
Old newspaper actually worth something, the ones from the 1960's do worth a lot
Are you sure this place is abandoned? It looks like its still in use. Too clean to be abandoned.
Ron Shaw yes it is just leave a note saying you were just taping
I seriously doubt this place is abandoned, looks way to clean and well kept.
Nice find! Thanks for the video.
Doritos in the fridge 10/10 way to survive the Apocolypse :)
😂
This would be the best place to hide in a zombie apocalypse, but there is a downside.
supplies and water and food, but if you had a jeep or a truck then maybe you could go to Town and get stuff quickly.
Someone's hunting cabin?
I put'm in there so the mice won't get them
Nice it has not been vandalized
Agreed, it's hard to find places like this.
Brap Nation Because it's SO far out in middle of nowhere! Looks like it could take days to get there. 😊
So, please PLEASE be careful.
i was expecting trevor to pop out the caravan tbh
