Nobody but Kevin Smith looked at he man an thought "you know the one thing that is missing? A huge pile of dead bodies!" It's very weird and it seems almost like the show exists just to kill asant he man characters as possible
Smith has griped about the lack of death in the original cartoon A LOT. He thinks that killing characters makes it automatically better. ua-cam.com/users/clipUgkxeruSJeSSrke2Dh33zJ_xskdaWvi2gAOV?si=neAkeKEAJg_jvP3M
That's literally what every kid who played with the Toys wanted. I have an Origins He-Man on my desk holding Skeletor's severed head and a bloody axe. You can find a bunch of artwork like that online. You sure you know about the property beyond what Filmation did?
@@GeekOwtLowdIt's not Smith, it's Ted Biecelli and Rob David who wanted a more violent show, stakes driven show. Smith just did what his Bosses told him to do. I for one loved the direction they went in cause even though I'm in my late forties now that Seven year old who ran home everyday to watch He-Man whilst eating PB&J is sitting right besides me loving every minute of it.
The only positive things I can say about this show are the animation and art style look great great. Also, they killed off Hordak?! What a dumb decision.
"let this be our final battle" Can you make this the final episode/season too and give the IP to people that actually care for it... no, I didn't think so.
Mark Hamil is great and all but i cannot help but hear Joker every time he talks as Skeletor. And Orko is surprisingly competent compared to the original? Well Hordak is dead. I hoped they will bring She Ra in this, but i believe it's for the best they didn’t
Again, spot on with your reaction/review. If they killed Hordak, who's going to be the villain when or if they bring in She-Ra? But I guess life and death have no meaning on this show.
The Masters of the Universe has the potential for amazing reboots but either mismanagement via cancellation or people who don’t know what they’re doing
3:05 I'm on this put down $1,000 that they're going to say that he's either gay or bisexual and he wants them to get in a relationship. That's why you mentioned it like that 10:01 let me get this straight a giant dragon gave her the power of snakes then she needs the power of grace to go on top of the chaos, staff or whatever it is. To make heaven which only allows heroes in kings while everyone else essentially meets oblivion when they die. And once again, this should be a sacrifice for this and she's going to become the most powerless individual in the universe.
Yeah, the comic was retconned. They write it off as Hordak implanted false memories in Skeleyor to make him think that was true but he's actually Keldor.
this show is trash. they need to stop green lighting everything from this series. None of the ideas are good. It’s just bait and switch for dumb stories and dumb decisions.
Okay, I'm going to be brutally honest because I see a lot of old school He-Man fans need it, but the classic He-man cartoon was NO masterpiece. So, this excessive nitpicking over Kevin Smith's He-man when the original wasn't that great is just obnoxious. Kevin Smith's series has better animation, better writing, better characters than the original, I'm sorry. You are allowed to like the classic He-Man cartoon but do NOT act like the original was Avatar: The Last Airbender. He-man fans that simply can't get over the original are not coming from place of good faith when it comes to Revelation and Revolution.
What a rubbish post. Original animation was clunky but the writing wasn't bad. And don't tell me that thisgarbage has a better writing or characters. If you want better animation and faithful in spirit adaptation then heeman 2002 is waiting for you.
@@Tekaneable He-man 2002 wasn't that great. It was fine but it's not great. Also, what is it about the original that is so much better than Revelation or Revolution? Read that in both of their voices 🤣
Both Keith David and Mark Hamill have their voices wasted on this show.
They should have said no. Everyone needs standards.
J: "It's not you, Sweetie. It's the writers." (3:29) That made me laugh!

You should do a body counter on the show that dings every time a body drops.
I probably will. :)
And do the body count with a ring sound when someone died.
But it's likely that nobody will hear you talking over it.😅
Maybe they are continuing the cgi reboot of he man cause they teased Hordak so I think they are still working on it
I hope so. That was scores better that this trash.
It's a shame that the best parts of the show are just small, easy to miss references to the original lol

I forgot adam used the Hulk buster armour, or there was yet another Marvel rip off in the show
Keith David and mark Hamill was fantastic in my opinion.
Great video mj
Skeletor looks like the overdesigned anime characters.
At this rate I expect Heman to die. Again.
Skeletor must've been a fan if the movie seven.
Hold on, hold on. I just noticed at the end. Gwildor is voiced by Ted Biaselli himself?
Holy sh*t Batman! I can't even think of a dumb joke for that.

Love the vtubing model.
It’s frustrating that the animation is so good and maybe some of the voice acting is ok, but nothing else is.
I can tell how much you love this, with desperately begging for the final episode to be over each episode 😂

Comments are good for the UA-cam algorithm.
What is plotisis?
It's a deadly condition that doesn't have a cure yet, and it has claimed many victims sadly😢
Character has to die to move the story forward. Back in the day we called this IITS. (It's In The Script)

Wait, if Keldor IS Skeletor in this version too, does that mean the prequel comic isn't canon after all? Because it directly contradicts this... 😐

Skeletor sounds like the Joker 🤔
Hey he does not
It looks okay most of the cast is good but the writing is just so bad it hurts my blood ,soul and head
Seems to be edgy for the sake of it
I find it was good
This version of Hordak sucked, but surely we can agree he was better than the broody emo guy from She-ra '17, right?
this show is trash. they need to stop green lighting everything from this series. None of the ideas are good. It’s just bait and switch for dumb stories and dumb decisions.
This season isnt really THAT bad. Like, yeah, they kiñl chsracters off, but they have a super limited number of episodes they can do.

I still can't believe they killed the king. Mattel is crazy or something hiring these people to burn down their franchise.
