Funny thing is, the society at large has values that cut across tribal bounds. But narcissism means you don't see others with complementary values, and you get upset because they don't see yours. There's no nihilism. There's only demonizing, and we refuse to be persuaded otherwise. We are both angels and demons. Same as you.
@@eksortsoI’m not sure you understand what nihilism is. Cause unfortunately, there is nihilism. And I’ve had the arguments to prove it. Nihilism is the belief that nothing truly matters. That value is up to personal interpretation at best. Nihilism becomes more common the more society crumbles. Example: Your “Truth” instead of the truth.
The ones that look the same, comes from a general laziness in the art style department, though I would argue that there is still plenty of adult animated content with unique and beautiful art styles. I felt I OWED it to them to see the movie in the theatre after that, even though I had been skeptical (and the movie turned out to be awesome). Spite is just everywhere nowadays, not just in Hollywood. Online spaces are more mean-spirited and spiteful, concert goers are getting more rowdy and disrespectful, people don't practice manners anymore and push you out of the way, etc. No one makes anything with actual _passion_ and _sincerity_ . The ones that are tend to get cancelled after their first season.
so true like it feels that every time something new gets announced people are more eager to fail, find a reason to hate it, or thousands other shits like that, recently is not as fun as it used to be being a geek because there's so much negativity of all types, not criticism just straight up hate and negativity against some invisible enemy people made out in their heads
Another UA-camr coined the term fantagonism (fan +antagonism). And it fits this attitude of Hollywood lately. There’s no need for them to attack the fans but they do so they deserve what they get.
That's a golden term that should be added to the fanlore wiki. 👍 If people being fans of hating something is a hatedom, then the writers enjoying being hated is fantagonism.
I think it was critical drinker who talked about hate baiting but he was quoting someone else I think. Sad when this happens because it’s like the companies that engage in it are fine with allowing their actors to be exposed to online and offline abuse, and sometimes intentionally do it so that they can then turn around and say “oh no, look how mean people are being just because they exist as a POC”
So I'm not the only one who noticed the amount of hate there is in writing these days. The thing about King of the Hill (which is still one of the best sitcoms written of all time) is that it is written from a conservative POV yet Hank is willing to meet in the middle, see the other side of things and come a diplomatic conclusion. Plus, he had common sense, was a good smart who and tried to avoid trouble if not solve it.
Not to mention he wouldn't just heap nothing but love and support for conservativism. He is a conservative man, but if he sees something he disagrees with, even if it's from people on the same political side as him, he'll call them out for it.

I could tell that Mr Birchum was going to be a dumpster fire from the first trailer. Regardless of what you think of the execution, you could argue that Lady Ballers needed to be made. It makes fun of something that everyone sane finds blatantly ridiculous but that anyone in Hollywood other than Matt Stone and Trey Parker would get blacklisted for touching. A big part of that I learned by watching the Vik case pretty closely in the anime industry. Regardless of what side you were on, it revealed that the industry is a super small world, everyone knows each other, and kissing ass to the people who are already in it is an absolute mandatory.
King of the Hill is a masterclass in storytelling: Hank has "his ways" and can be stubborn, but at the end of the day he learns and grows and often just comes back to "well, that's asinine" for a lot of stuff that is, simply put, asinine. Nothing new. Let's look at Marvel in 2004, they took Joss Whedon as X-Men writer because "After the work of Grant Morrison, we needed someone who could get the fans even angrier than they were before". In late 2006, a fan asked Joe Quesada (editor in chief) if they'll make Marvel recover from House of M and Civil War, Quesada answered that superheroes were but "toys to be smashed and destroyed".

Spite might qualify as the 8th deadly sins. Bitterness, areogance, and denial are a terrible mix of feelings to have. Even worse to use those as the emotions that drive a creative work.
Spite is a mix of wrath, sloth, and pride. So I feel like it shouldn’t be counted if it’s a mix (similar to how they just mixed vainglory and pride, & sloth and melancholy together). But at the same time, lust, greed, and gluttony are basically he same thing with only arbitrary differences. So it truly should be replacing gluttony that’s for sure.
Its rare to see criticism for both sides of this type of show. I thank you for that, especially since by their very nature, these types of shows bank on people choosing sides.

But HOLY HELL is the pendulum swinging back hard, and I feel like I'm losing my mind on all of these grifting UA-cam channels. When monetization is involved, people fall to the dark side of negativity and the rational people in the middle suffer for it.
Even back of the days of "An American Carol" it didn't work either because the writing wasn't smart enough. They wanted to have a message and they got it in there, but they failed to supplement it with good enough humor to keep it going. And that was 16 years ago.
The fact that there is almost a 1-to-1 correlation between a show/movie/comic/game’s marketing run proudly talking about who it’ll upset instead of talking about the actual product , and said product being shit is the entire conversation right there. The main goal they have in mind when writing it is to really stick it to a particular group, instead of keeping making something good at the forefront and thinking about that stuff second
I feel like this problem goes way beyond media too. We live in a world where people think making people they don't like unhappy is more important then making themself happy
Amen. What a bitter society we have made. 'Owning' the other side is the end goal, not actually making a difference. This problem isn't limited to adult cartoons. Teen titans go (a kids cartoon) made SEVERAL episodes just to mess with their haters. They put so much effort in some of those episodes that it shows just how bitter they are about people hating their titans titans reboot.
Teen Titans Go was a slap in the face for many fans of the original series. They made an episode called “The Fourth Wall” where they go after OG fans for wanting the show to have more action, drama, and story, and not having “low brow toilet humor”. They literally have all the characters fart in your face at the end as a middle finger to those who want the old series back. Probably the worst one that they made to mock fans was “The Return of Slade” episode where they essentially just told the fans that they’re adults and need to grow up.
@@burntpoptart853 What's funny is the excuse to grow up doesn't even work because the og teen titans is ALSO a kid show. Besides how PETTY do you have to be to put in SO MUCH effort in creating these episodes for the SOLE purpose of making fun of their haters. The responsible thing to do is to IGNORE your haters. By making those "making fun of haters" episodes, you are proving just how childish you really are. Then again, it just proves the reboot writers are perfect to write the reboot because they act as childish as the reboot itself.
I think the problem in that situation comes down to this: People seem to think kids cartoons should be the equivalent to jingling a set of keys. No depth just something to distract and not think about. Kids cartoons can be great when they actually have depth or can be viewed by more then just kids, like OG spongebob at least had something for the adults that are probably watching with their children, and everyone remembers ATLA. The problem with shows like this have is that they aren’t even pushing any morals or ideals. It’s just “Look! A leftist! Boooo!!!” And it sucks because there’s room in the industry for more traditionalist values to be displayed in a well written series. Let’s look at the plot about the students failing his wood-shop class. He also disapproves of his son’s gaming/streaming hobby. You can build off of that. We can still start off with the kids being uninterested in the class and not respecting Mr. B’s authority. He fails them and their immediate reaction is to threaten to have their parents talk to the school. Insert some conflict. Maybe have the kids are playing around with the tools and the principal’s desk breaks. Ya know, instead of something boring like tools get banned for safety reasons. Then, the students have to actually work hard to learn the lessons from class to fix it. They try and fail. Mr. B sees what they’re doing and teaches them in a calm and understanding manner. The kids realize how respecting their teachers and paying attention in class has its merits and Mr. B realizes that he can’t just use some convoluted donkey system to grade his students. Both characters learn something and find some common ground to work together harmoniously. Maybe there’s another episode where he wants to take them lumber jacking. Some of the students are too glued to their devices to want to go outdoors while others are against cutting down trees. They turn it into a weekend camping trip where some of the students get lost and they have no phone signal. They have to use what they’ve learned from playing video games to survive and find their way back. In the end, he realizes that gaming can have its benefits and the kids also want to spend more time outdoors. It’s then revealed that he wanted to chop down trees that were either sick or invasive species or something that justified cutting them down for wood working. He planned all along to replace them by planting new trees. You still get that “dang Liberal environmentalist hippie” jabs while still making a compelling story. Obviously, I’m not a writer and these are some pretty basic conflict-resolution plots. The point is that there is so much that can be done with a more conservative/traditionalist ideology. Just attacking one character that’s already an amplified amalgamation of stereotypes isn’t interesting media. It’s just a conservative fever dream where they get to “own the libs”. When you vilify a character for who they are (political/religious beliefs, race, sex, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) instead of for their actions, you’ve instantly lost. The reason why shows like Static Shock work is because they still humanize characters that we may not see eye-to-eye with. Richie’s father obviously holds some extremely bigoted views of others and is meant to be an antagonist. But the show doesn’t revolve around dunking on him. It explores what makes him tick and opens his eyes to the reality that the world is changing. Even more direct shows like the original Proud Family focus more on the human aspect of these conflicts and less on trying to make someone out to be the bad guy (something missing from Louder And Prouder). Anyways, I’m just angry that shoving political beliefs down everyone’s throats has taken priority over good writing and trying to tell a compelling story that may teach audiences a lesson or share what the writer(s)’ beliefs are. There are ways to do this that these writers just don’t seem capable of pulling that off. And thinking of all the shows that got canned while this and Velma were greenlit… It’s so disappointing to see the state of the industry.
Well we had an episode of King of the Hill that tackles that perfectly. The episode where Hank becomes a substitute shop class teacher and shows the kids they are capable of fixing and building things. Because Hank works one on one with the kids and shows them all of the tricks and secrets of learning how to do things, they begin to love him and even go so far as to go to his house to learn more after Hank was fired.
yeah, remember the movie about how powerful people were being held back by an excessive desire for equality and how that's a bad thing? you know, the Incredibles?
I remember Star Trek introducing the first interracial kiss on TV, and they didn't treat it as a big deal they just treated it as normal and it worked and they didn't do it out of spite.
What people don't seem to understand is that in order for a piece of media to advance some message it has to be catered to the people who DON'T agree with it. If you want to preach against racism, your work has to appeal to racists or at least people who are undecided, because they're the ones who need it. If you want to advance conservative values, you have to have a work that watched/read by liberals, or at least moderates. Otherwise, it's like making a weight-loss program that only accepts skinny people, or a doctor that will only treat healthy patients.
Not even really, you just need to really believe in your creation beyond being a vehicle for your ideologies and spite, as well as being funny. plenty of right wing people make very convincing videos and parodies that are enjoyable for their targetted audience because it actually try to be funny on it's own. that was the whole stuff about breadtubers a while back, people that were making informative and reserched video essays about a subject they liked while taking plenty of jabs toward right wing people. because those videos even without the spite standed on their own as informative.
Mr Birrchum presents itself as a show "too offensive for tv", however, looking at shows like Drawn Together and South Park that were literally too offensive for tv, they worked because of the many boundaries they pushed that got on a lot of executive's nerves. Mr Birchum feels more like some boomer got upset that at a Twitter user and began punching at the air.
I think in addition to the spite is a lack of love. The creators certainly enjoy attacking their perceived foes but what also is apparent is that their creation is nothing more than a vehicle for that. There is nothing to elevate these shows above that because the creators didn't want it to be anything beyond that. Hatred alone can't create good work.
It was probably more the fact that the relaunch was funded entirely by some techbro failson who had no actual plan for how it would make money but it's so much easier to just blame everything wrong in the world on people that don't look like you I guess.
So, neither the right nor the left can make good escapism nowadays? This just proves to me that people want modern-day politics out of their escapism. I’m not saying that you can’t have politics in your entertainment, but it works within the universe itself. Best examples I can come up with is Star Wars, and MG Revengeance. I’m sure there are other examples.
That wasn’t “the right.” That’s The Daily Wire. That said, I’m not a fan of any overtly political media producer. Although it’s more so the case when they claim not to be.
@@DragblackerPolitics and morality are honestly oxymorons. Politics is appealing to a crowd, not finding the nuances in situations and working to find a common solution (atleast modern politics these days, it wasn’t always like that ofc).

I think that spite media is a problem in media right now. I'm guilty of wanting to act out of spite but I know it logically wouldn't do any good. Like, how are we supposed to be positive when stuff like this exists encouraging us to be pessimistic and petty.
As a straight white male I'm actually interested in seeing more diversity in story telling. I want to see new perspectives and ideas in entertainment. But when the story or characters only exist to insult me because the show runner has a chip on their shoulder, I'm instantly out.
@@JoeMavro1 But that’s kinda the point of bringing in a diversity of demographics. Like gay people have entire subcultures and experiences straight people are unaware of and they bring it to the screen. The campiness of the Davies Who era for instance did use a gay perspective you can tell when you watch early episodes and they have stuff like Britney Spears playing as an Earth ballad by the trans character who’s now just a piece of skin who constantly shouts to be moisturized while the Earth dies. Let’s be honest only a gay person would write something that over the top and funny- over the top camp tends to be embraced more by the lgbt community. Another show was Boondocks which was from primarily a black perspective and mixed the shonen anime style with black culture to create racial commentary that didn’t care about white feelings. It was successful and now a cult classic. So these demographics can create great stories if given a chance to put those perspectives into art.
@@Animefan24711 Nah, that is what they pretend having diversity of demographics will do. Its like having a bag of M&Ms but you remove only the red ones. The other colors don't inherently have anything different. You need the different flavors of M&Ms. A bowl of different types of red M&Ms (Plain, peanut, pretzel etc) is more diverse than a bowl of plain M&Ms that is every color but red. But they'll say it isn't, because those are red M&Ms. And maybe they'll mix the other colors of other kinds of M&Ms, but they don't stop there. They mix in everything else too. Skittles, lemon heads, jawbreakers, rat poison, birth control, meatballs, mothballs, cannon balls, doormats, democrats, tongue slats, church bells, fresh water snails.. etc. Might be fine as a chowder but they're trying to tell you its a hamburger.
@@Animefan24711 "Another show was Boondocks which was from primarily a black perspective and mixed the shonen anime style with black culture to create racial commentary that didn’t care about white feelings." Then you didn't watch the video. The Boondocks wasn't intended to enrage the "anti-audience" of white people. It rags on black people and culture a lot more than it even addresses white people because it comes from a place of caring. Most would be surprised to that The Boondocks actually criticized Obama for just being black and having no other qualifications for being president (or, at the very least, his voters for having no other reason to vote for him). It didn't pander to anyone. It was what it was - an original story with believable characters.
Believe me, as a trans person we hate this shit too, because all we get out of it is a 2-bit stereotype of ourselves pushed as "representation" Like give us an actual interesting character who also just happens to be trans, that's all we want man Edit: a good example imo is Claire from cyberpunk, you literally don't realize she's trans until she herself says it, and it doesn't affect her character that much, she's still got one of the more interesting stories in the game
3:17 I wish they took the wings of fire approach to heavy subjects and exaggerated them to a point that it’s impossible to fully comprehend and the message is impossible to decipher
Geez. Almost makes you wonder why we should get excited for anything if that's how the creators are gonna behave. At least we can revisit old stuff instead of all of this, but even that's gonna be hard with the current streaming environment. Go, physical media!!
A lot of creatives will write pointed commentary or insults at executives or higher ups that make their lives worse. Like in the show The Owl House, the MC makes a joke that’s a commentary on the fact their show was cut short. Justified, considering how massive the fanbase was and how much money Disney would’ve made off of it. So much money they felt it necessary to apologize to the creator after the fact. In that vein tho, creatives calling out BS decisions by higher ups are great. Most shitty decisions are made by them. And in the case of Velma, they literally forced the creators to make a Scooby doo show when they didn’t want to. But when they’re sending hate towards the audience, which have done NOTHING to them, then it’s a problem. Yes, some audiences r stupid, focusing on brands more than original content. And some are way too politically minded and focus on that more than anything else. But targeting a vocal minority of AHs rather than trying to make something good for everyone else who does care is so awful.
Just go searching in Op Shops, record stores, online stores, and second hand places like Thrift Books. You'll find DVD's in all of those places. DVD's are definately not dead yet.
Just go pirated it or watch on pirated streaming sites with an adblocker turn on. It's less of a pain of finding physical copy of an obscure show that the company never bother to release.
it's not even just anger on display in both directions. theres swings of arrogance too. I mostly am aware of this in localization, so thanks for some of these examples, but really... creativity is being stifled by so many forces at this point. the fact the new bare minimium is "at least you messed up your own IP" is... pretty bad.
not even close sorry a single line of some lady venting puts your butt in a knot but once you learn to talk to women irl its much less egregious than you think
@@oshkeet Complaining about a show being bad means you don't talk to women irl. Wow, the defenders of these shit shows are shitty people, who would of thought.
I watched all of Velma season 1, and the spite was palpable. And it wasn’t just aimed towards the audience. The show seemed to radiate a dismissive or spiteful attitude towards the Scooby IP as a whole. I find it hard to believe that Mindy & co. are the fans of Scooby that they claim to be.
Another thing that is ruining media is there are no more heroes. There are no actors or actresses that have any swagger or any characters who are true relatable individuals
I think that’s only true if you’re talking about the more bloated franchises. People seem to like Timothée Chalamet and the rest of the cast of the recent Dune movies; outside of that, I’d think that Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicolas Cage are good examples of younger and older actors who people generally like even if they’re not necessarily tied to any one franchise.
That is what I tell everyone. I love Two Good Shoes heroes who are conceptually perfect, because the point of heroes is not to be ReLaTaBlE it is to inspire us to be better than what we are. If our heroes are not perfect, it means we will get to their level someday and not have any reason to strive to be better, and if your character is relatable, it means probably most people are already on their level, so what even is the point of them being "heroes" in the first place?
Watch Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, power rangers, or any other good super hero shows. These shows have all that you want with goody two shoes, relatable cast, and also the swagger. You want a Superman like character than I recommend Kamen Rider Kuuga bcus that guy inspires one to be kind.
I think the "If you don't like it, don't watch it" is perfectly fair, and as these shows all tank one after another, I hope they're glad everyone took their advice.
Oh ABSOLUTELY, it's like a good chunk of showrunners today approach creating their IP with the mindset of 'how I can I piss off the people I don't like?'
I think youre definitely right. Especially when ya realize so many of the people working on these IPs hate the IPs and the fans of it so they probably get off on this type of shit. Definitely see this in gaming big time too,so many in that industry seem to adamantly hate gamers.
As a conservative, i 100% agree with you on this. Birchum is just bland lazy trash and is basically rightwing version of the woke leftist garbage many people have already come to dislike. Entertainment should not bot be about toxic identity politics or ideological "gotcha" moments. It shoukd have good writing, characterization, and just be enjoyable at least. This
Mr. Birchum sucks at social satire, but its still funny when a character says something really crass like "Were you trying to kill yourself? If so I can leave while you finish" or "We were focused on avoiding The Noid...and AIDS"
I've always been confused on how people like me who grew up with shows/Movies like Static Shock, Mucha Lucha, Totally Spies,Gargoyles, Cyber 6, Blade, Terminator, Aliens, etc. are somehow phobics for not like modern Media. Like when did it become Phobic to like good writing? On top of that the "If you Don't like it don't buy it" argument always falls flat when they turn around and BLAME the people who didn't watch/read their show/book for doing horribly (See Ghostbuster 2016). Like I can live with a product "wasn't made for me" why can't they accept they made a bad product? Finally Velma was the nail in the coffin for my admitted confirmation bias, Mindy Kaling said she was making it for the usual "Representation" issues, at the same time she said she wanted to do Velma cause she felt a "connection" with the character, you know DESPITE the fact the character wasn't the same ethnicity as the Mindy. To top it off she didn't even make the character Velma, it was just her putting herself in Velma's shoes. And because of this all the other characters had to change to try to hide what a horrible person/character she was, and funnily enough she's still the worse thing about her own show
This makes me think of Penn Zero actually, where the characters just zap into the bodies of the actual story's protagonists so they can get stuff done. This is what I'm seeing here. It's not Velma, it's Mindy zapping into Velmas body to presumably do the story better, I suppose.
Spite is absolutely screwing up media girl! My mother and I were talking the other day about how happiness doesn't sell and most shows are about some mixture of drama, murder, drugs, abuse sexual and physical, exploitation, racism you name it, I think that's a big part of why people won't stop talking about smiling friends they are cutting against the grain of today making a show that genuinely makes me smile and laugh.
These hateful shows and movies are examples why indie stuff is getting more and more attention. The indie stuff is more focused on story and characters so that they can *gasp* entertain people rather than being spiteful towards a certain group of people.
@@Cubeytheawesome That is true sadly. People can’t just come together and enjoy a show or series. There has to be conflict in some way. However, I’d rather have a great indie show than a bad one even with the toxic fans.

Most likely because of CalArts and the like teaching methods to make basic designs quickly.

There's a whole bag of it and it annoys me. CalArts style is not a solid argument I think. So where did this originate?
The ones that look the same, comes from a general laziness in the art style department, though I would argue that there is still plenty of adult animated content with unique and beautiful art styles. Blood of Zeus has a decent anime-esque art style, Metalocalypse was the good kind of ugly if you ask me and if you really want to see what is possible with adult animation: Love, Death & Robots is simply fantastic.

He was written not only by people who cared, but went the mile understand why he is the way he is, how he’d react to the world around him in a good and bad way, and at the end of the day he’s a well meaning person who’s can adapt. It’s a good show with a well written cast and message.
Spite probably evolves from envy. You're furious that you don't have something and someone else does, you get envious, then you wanna spite them.

Ideology always makes people spiteful.

We live in a world where people think making people they don't like unhappy is more important then making themself happy

There is no excuse for the reboot writers to make a show that childish, when the original was ALREADY a kids cartoon.

“People have been calling us garbage since the reboot!”
These days it feels like life lessons and depth have been removed in favor of mindless distraction.
And yet, the original show was better. In a way i'm happy they didn't continued Teen titans the way it was. Because that would have ruined the original show with those stupid new ideas.
A prime example is The Witcher. I havent seen or heard of anyone who isn't on Henry Cavills side, for being so passionate about his role, and wanting the series to follow the books more. And yet they got rid of him. And now the show has been completely cancelled.

@@jaysherman2615 BTW the reason he was fired was because Peggy got jealous of his popularity.
@@Ergeniz I thought it was because the schools zero tolerance rule meant the staff identified wood working tools as weapons
@@floofyboi7546 Yes, that was the reason Piggy used to get him fired.
yeah, remember the movie about how powerful people were being held back by an excessive desire for equality and how that's a bad thing?
you know, the Incredibles?
J is right! We need meaningful stories, not spiteful shows trying to stick it to the trolls and haters! 😤
Mr. Birtchem is like velma for the other side... But atleast no childhoods got destroyed by it lol.
Anyone else remember the moment the new G4 crashed and burned when that one lady said “if you don’t like it, don’t watch it”?
A legendary moment that quashed any chance of G4 fully coming back.
G4?
@@Kaiserboo1871it's a whole thing bro.
An old gaming network revived and squandered.
It was probably more the fact that the relaunch was funded entirely by some techbro failson who had no actual plan for how it would make money but it's so much easier to just blame everything wrong in the world on people that don't look like you I guess.
It was revealed that spite was part of why Thundercats Roar was the way it was, the guy who made it hated Thundercats.
Politics is morality, so people want their morality plays.
Why does fiction need to be escapism?
@@arandomhashbrown3756 Because modern writers SUCK at the opposite.
Sounds like the funniest thing about Mr Birchum is that it fell into the exact same pit trap as the shows it was made to push back against.
At least it didn't drag a well known ip into it. Which helps with it when it falls into obscurity.
Trashy politically biased vanity project tries to make their strawman antagonist look bad. Meanwhile the self insert protags are such awful POS that it makes the antags look either more interesting or objectively more moral people. That horseshoe is becoming more of a ring everyday.
That’s political extremists for you, fighting against something but too fucking stupid to notice that they’re becoming what they fight against (you could apply this to ether side).
But it managed to do so without changing already established characters with already established lore with an already established fan base.
@@snoozefludoesn't matter it still sucks
I had to mute it so I don't end up hearing the cringey dialouge out of any of the characters in that daily wire show
I remember in "The Watchmen" show there was a big 3D sign in one of the scenes that just said, "If you don't like my story, write you're own" and it had no relevance to the plot at all. It was just shoved in there to bitch about criticism they haven't even received yet. It's just cringe.
Diversity of perspectives is the only kind of diversity that matters.
@@Animefan24711 "Another show was Boondocks which was from primarily a black perspective and mixed the shonen anime style with black culture to create racial commentary that didn’t care about white feelings."
Then you didn't watch the video.
Believe me, as a trans person we hate this shit too, because all we get out of it is a 2-bit stereotype of ourselves pushed as "representation"
Like give us an actual interesting character who also just happens to be trans, that's all we want man
Edit: a good example imo is Claire from cyberpunk, you literally don't realize she's trans until she herself says it, and it doesn't affect her character that much, she's still got one of the more interesting stories in the game
More like go piracy.
Just go pirated it or watch on pirated streaming sites with an adblocker turn on. It's less of a pain of finding physical copy of an obscure show that the company never bother to release.
it's not even just anger on display in both directions. theres swings of arrogance too. I mostly am aware of this in localization, so thanks for some of these examples, but really... creativity is being stifled by so many forces at this point. the fact the new bare minimium is "at least you messed up your own IP" is... pretty bad.

when I heard a adult show made by the original creator of "Regular show" got cancelled for Velma I truly felt how shitty that crap is.
2:30 "Its almost like they're excited to annoy people."
Several people who have remade or rebooted franchises have quiet literally said just that.
I also find that hard to believe as well.
They're not fans. They pretend to be so they can have relevance.
@@deltamachine343 agreed and exactly
Had no idea Daily Wire made their own cartoon. Nor would I have ever thought to compare its flaws to Velma. The similarities are striking

A classic saying if I may: Two wrongs don't make a right, and that hasn't changed even now, though so many still miss that fact!?!

Unfortunately, the people who are entertained by indie stuff tend to be spiteful towards each other.
@@Cubeytheawesome That is true sadly. People can’t just come together and enjoy a show or series. There has to be conflict in some way. However, I’d rather have a great indie show than a bad one even with the toxic fans.
