      What we need is a Savior to unite the wishes of the common man and woman

    • @vinniepn4432
      @vinniepn4432 9 років тому +1

      andy Well I took the stance of voting for the lesser of two evils, knowing that the Green Party itself wouldn't be able to make a considerable dent. In the end I voted for Labor, hoping there would be at least more of a chance that Ed Milliband would listen to our society's views.

    • @TheAndy675

      Vinnie PN Well the greens in power would have been disastrous for the country for starters.
      Say what you want about the tories but atleast they know how to manage the economy. If labour did'nt make such a mess of it the last time round they likely would'nt be in the situation they are in now.

      Matt TheRandomEnglishVlogger They borrowed more in 3 years than Labour did in 13 years and the economy was growing the quickest in the last 6 years when Labour was in power. As soon as the Tories took over, the economic growth stumbled and took 2 YEARS before things looked up.. Labour were doing a good job at damage control, actually, no, they were doing a far better job.. Oh, and disabled weren't literally DYING because of cuts. And MP's didn't get a 10% pay rise.. But whatever, the ignorant public have decided to fall for the Tories scaremongering about Labour and have also decided that Ed Miliband looks funny eating a bacon sandwich. Brilliant.

      ***** In other words the government won't find it's self even more debt to hand over to the conservative party to clear up leaving nothing but a country and a 'sorry' letter. If you genuinely believe that labour is the way to go then you're just as gullible and illiterate as the rest of those socialist scum.

    • @ElamRachel
      @ElamRachel 9 років тому

      Haha, good hands, yeah right. The people around me are having to go to food banks, people have been kicked out of their homes because of bed room Tax. My mum, who is disabled has lost her DLA and has been provided with no help to sought out all the forms, in fact she's been treated terribly (and she works!). This country is so fucking fucked up. Why must the rick get richer and the poor get poorer. There are no jobs were I live, help forms are closing. If my mum drops dead I have to be out of the house by 3 weeks... In fact, your fucking Torrie voters have basically now given David Cameron power to do anything he wants, and now more welfare cuts are going to happen and now he's got the fucking right or go full out. What happens next, huh? You all live in your fancy warm houses were the homes around d here become un-livable, the amount of people around me being miss treated is huge!. The trouble with DC is that he does all these cuts but he doesn't look into helping how the people effected are treated. In fact Britain is fucked up and I wish I did not live here, where has brotherhood gone? I feel ashamed with these results, I though people were more caring, guess there not.

      Tiger Custardman Greens would obviously fuck up. Staying in the EU is just bloody stupid. I highly doubt that UKIP would switch back to the imperial measurement system. (Basically got no knowledge what you're on about)
      Most of UKIP's policies are extremely competent and ethical, they are also possible and costed. Read their manifesto, watch Susanne Evans at the manifesto launch or even watch the Telegraph's abridged version. I think you'll find that they aren't ridiculous at all. Greens however are a different story with ridiculous policies, some are possible but would be damaging to the economy in order to fund them.

  • @96Tomsta
    @96Tomsta 9 років тому +24

    One day into his new reign as PM and I've already read that tuition fees are going to be increased to £11,500 a year!! What a joke, well done Britain for voting the scum in. I voted UKIP because a good change was actually going to take place for regular people not the rich like the Tories have done. This country is going downhill and fast and as a 19 year old I have a choice of either going to uni and being in debt by over £50k or working on a zero hours contract with no guarantee I will be in work the next day. Another 5 years of making the rich richer and poor poorer, well done Britain. well done (*claps hands)

    • @lonelyvirgo
      @lonelyvirgo 9 років тому +7

      You don't have to pay uni fees if you earn less than £21,000 and they adjust how much you pay a month based on your wage bracket AND you can get a student loan. Stop worrying so much (I'm not a Tory voter, by the way)

    • @DFandV

    • @georgepurdy8503
      @georgepurdy8503 9 років тому +5

      ***** I assume the article you're referring to is the one published by The Guardian on Sunday. If so, that article states in the title 'says Labour' and if you read the first two paragraphs it says that a re-elected coalition would raise tuition fees 'Labour has claimed'. All you're doing is reading a line and assuming the worse rather than reading properly into it, and if that's what you're doing, are you sure you're intelligent enough to be going to university anyway?

    • @96Tomsta
      @96Tomsta 9 років тому +4

      Danell Edwards So they're racist because they want to control the amount of people who come to live here? You're basically saying Australia are racist because UKIP wanted to use their border system. In hindsight we are a small island and we cannot keep letting more and more people into the country, the wait to see your local GP will be longer and will keep getting longer until something is done to control it. If you actually read UKIP's policies on immigration and all their other policies are just common sense which is where the other parties lack. I wouldn't trust Ed Milliband to run a bath for me let alone run the country and I don't live in Scotland so the SNP's policies wouldn't appeal to me. David Cameron lied about not raising tuition fees and VAT in 2010 so I can't trust anything he says. Farage has been the only one to talk sense and truth and I don't think it's fair that any party with 13% of the overall votes gets less than 1% of the seats in parliament. The system needs to change.

    People banging on about immigration, please note:A good bunch of British citizens are either on benefits, only want to work in a particular industry, or just aren't qualified to work in professions that require a high level of skill. The solution to this bratty attitude is to bring in individuals from abroad who will fulfill the available 'dead-end' jobs and at a great standard, and to attract those well-educated skilled personells to in turn, to add value to the British economy. I'm sorry but the culture here in Britain is slowly worryingly evolving in such a way that people just want an easy life with very little ambition.

    There needs to be some serious reforms in how the election works. Whether or not you like UKIP or not, the pure fact that a party can get 12.6% of the vote, equal to the Lib Dems and SNP combined, and only get one seat is a absolute disgrace and is not democratic at all. Lib Dems and SNP have 64 seats between them and didn't do better than UKIP votewise. The system is designed for when there was just two main parties people voted for. I understand it is a system designed so you get an MP for your area but some of the constituencies should be combined and some seats should be awarded for votes in a regional area. If the MPs were based on the percentage of their vote then the House of Commons would look like this: Conservative 240, Labour 198, UKIP 82, Liberal Democrats 51, SNP 31, Green 25, Others 23.

    Labour lost bad main factors:
    SNP - Took Scotland seats from the Labour party who lost 40 or so safe seats but it seems obvious that the SNP would surely take Scotland back for the Scottish after a close yes no vote in 2014. Nicola leader was loved by voters embraced her everywhere.
    UKIP- The party got 12% of the vote 4 million voters above and beyond the results in 2010 but same outcome of just 1 MP like 2010. These voters were Labour in 2010 and had voted UKIP due to immigration impacting on their district more than they would like dissatisfied with Labour not wanting EU vote these were working class voters who would otherwise vote Labour but choose UKIP this time round losing labour thousands of crucial votes in far too many English constituencies.
    Bullshit Polls- All but the exit poll which was closer than every poll had been for past 12 months the poll professionals did a shit job got it 100% wrong equal tory and labour party percentiles in nearly every poll for a year in run up to the 2015 election.

    British people are lucky to have David Cameron, who leads some pragmatic and responsible policies. In France we are so disappointed by François Hollande's inability to change the economic and social situation. He was only elected on the basis of social matters promises he cannot keep without backing the private sector, supporting investment and jobs creation. And without economic growth, you cannot act about social issues.
    You can complain about D.Cameron, but don't forget he did quite well the job contrary to left wing governments in others european countries.

    More Conservative rule that the people of Scotland didn't vote for... This is what happens when we are part of the United Kingdom. Being ruled by people we didn't vote for.
    On top of that, the working classes will be hit hard. I really don't understand why England voted Tory after what they did during the last five years.

    • @YorickReturns
      @YorickReturns 9 років тому

      PyroANTIC That's an argument against democracy. But, why stop at the level of Scotland? Scotland has a Scottish Government that certain regions didn't vote for. A local council rules over its entire area, including parts that didn't vote for it. What's your point? It's rather arbitrary to be in favour of democracy at the Scotland level or the council level, but not at the UK level.

    • @VideoPaladin
      @VideoPaladin 9 років тому

      YorickReturns
      You're argument assumes that Scotland within the United Kingdom as a region is treated as part of a country.
      While people tend to see themselves as Glaswegian or Yorkshire, they still accept the sovereignty of their location government largely. For Glasgow, it would be Holyrood as they see themselves as Scottish or being part of Scotland. For Yorkshire, Westminster as they see themselves as English or being part of England. In both cases, they can be part of the UK.
      The point is, you can't treat nations of the UK like counties. The very definition of the United Kingdom is "Countries within a country" So saying something like: "Scotland has to accept people in other parts of the UK voted for someone else" is completely disregarding the fact that some people feel themselves diffrent to another area of the United Kingdom.
      This alone is the very reason why countries exist in the first place.
      And the reason Scottish Nationalism is on the rise is because alot of the people of Scotland feel alienated by Westminster. And this is being seen by the people of North England too. It's naïve to think the United Kingdom is one united country in terms of nationality. You have to take account of the diffrent cultures and the fact people feel diffrent to others.
      In fact, treating the United Kingdom this way is what leads to groups forming to represent local interests because they feel they are not represented by the main system.

    • @YorickReturns
      @YorickReturns 9 років тому

      PyroANTIC
      I didn't say that Scotland is a region.
      But, why is democracy good enough for a county but not for a nation?
      I don't like democracy. I don't think Britons should be overruled by their fellow Britons. But, I don't think that Scots should be able to overrule their fellow Scots, or Glaswegians their fellow Glaswegians either. Any democracy, how ever small or large, entails that some people don't get what they want.

    • @VideoPaladin
      @VideoPaladin 9 років тому

      You miss the point:
      As I said previous: Glaswegians see themselves as living in Scotland and accept the overarching rule of Holyrood for national affairs, not Glasgow City County as their government. That is there for their local affairs. The same would apply to say, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, or Perth. All accept the rule of Holyrood as the government of Scotland and don't consider themselves city states or diffrent countries between them.
      They consider themselves to all be within Scotland, and that Scotland has a recognised border with England, and that Westminster is the other, larger national government. They accept that people from a diffrent Scottish city or region vote differently because other people in other Scottish regions may vote similar to them in other parts.
      But when they look at England, they see a diffrent culture with diffrent voting patterns and feel diffrent, even alienated.
      That is the basics of what makes any country diffrent from another country anywhere in the world.
      When the larger national government, in this case, Westminster, is dictated largely by a people who themselves feel similar to others close to them, in this case, the people of England, this larger government is felt to represent them more than country which elects fewer to it. In this case, Scotland. The latter feel they cannot have influence and therefore, feel alienated.
      In the recent election, the people of Scotland elected the Scottish National Party to 56 of Scotland's 58 seats, the majority of them used to be held by Labour. The fact that had Labour gotten all 59 seats and would not have made a difference further makes people feel that Westminster does not care about them has increased, and therefore, the want of either independence or further powers increases.

    • @YorickReturns
      @YorickReturns 9 років тому

      PyroANTIC
      How do you know that? The people of Glasgow have never had a vote whether to abolish Glasgow City Council or not. But, even if such a vote were to show majority support for having the council, there would inevitably be some people who want it abolished.
      Scotland vis-a-vis the UK is essentially an exception to the general attitude of Scottish nationalists. Scottish nationalists don't mind Glaswegians over-ruling other Glaswegians. They wouldn't have minded a nationalist majority in Scotland dragging unionists to independence in the referendum last year. They don't mind Scotland being overruled by the rest of the EU. They have a problem with demcoracy, only when it comes to Scotland vis-a-vis the UK.

    Can we build another parliament? A huge castle like a fortress equidistant between London, Edinburgh, Belfast and Cardiff. A huge castle with a diamond on the top and statues of each countries sigil (England has the Lion, Scotland has the Unicorn, Wales has the Dragon and Northern Ireland has the deer). It would be like something out of Game of Thrones and have only certain number of MP's from every country to form an actual Government that is representative of the United Kingdom. I'm English so I'm not being biased - vote for me and I'll make it happen. :D Maybe have a different Nationality of Prime Minister every 5 years. So, in the first 5 years it's an Englishman, then a Scotsman, then a Northern Irishman, then a Welshman. It'd be the greatest form of Government in all of history across the world. Yaay! But, then a few hundred years would go by and MP's would fuck it up. Nevertheless, Insomniac for PM.

    David doesn't just care about the rich. He supports those who want to work, educate themselves and better their lives. We can't all sit around on our arses claiming benefits and moaning that we don't get doctor's appointments quickly enough. Some sacrifices have been made to improve the economic climate and as more jobs are created, those people who want to work will work, will live prosperous lives and put money back into the economy. Initiatives such as the help to save deposits will really help working young couples like me and my husband to actually be able to buy a house.
    We can't all earn the same salary - This would simply be unfair. I earn an average to low salary but I won't be complaining about those who earn £150,000 not being taxed 50% of what they earn. Those who earn high salaries have worked hard to get to where they are (in most cases) and probably have extremely stressful day to day lives. We are not all equal and we need to live with that and make the best of what we've got.
    I honestly can't understand why people think we are now doomed?

    Is anyone in Britain familiar with the phrase "It's my way or the highway"? Because the very arrogant, cold, and selfish persona being painted of David Cameron, is seemingly being mirrored by those who oppose him in the comments. The people spoke, and you would glorify that point if your man won, yet you will demonize it when it works against you. The reality of the situation is, you can still band together and make a difference in the world without the government. If you truly are concerned for the people of Britain, the government is not stopping you from helping the less fortunate, and if you truly believe you represent a large majority of the country then that should be an easy movement to accomplish. Its time western society as a whole stop looking for a savior as a means to shirk our own responsibilities not just for ourselves but for each other.

Vote Conservative, and Labour, the Liberal Democrats, the SNP and even the Green Party too for that matter.
