I want to share an important update regarding the content on this channel. I have made the decision to remove shorts and refocus the direction of this platform. Moving forward, this channel will exclusively feature full-length videos. This decision is part of a strategic effort to deliver more in-depth and substantive content.
Simultaneously, I am in the process of establishing a new UA-cam channel that will serve as the primary platform for shorter content. This shift aims to provide a more organized and streamlined viewing experience for everyone.

It's tough. I like your channel, I was educated as a marketing professional and moved into digital marketing specifically. I get how if you don't "tickle the algorithms" then your channel doesn't grow. I shake my head at UA-cam since they push UA-cam shorts as some "me too!!!" Attempt to compete with Tik Tok. That said, I don't enjoy them, so I will in the most polite way decline to subscribe to the short channel, but I will offer one small piece of advice for the long form channel given my research and career: Top 10s and (better yet) Top 5s. Those will help the main channel perform. Not to toot my own horn, but as one of Drachinfel's earliest subscribers who got to know him and even voice act in one of his videos, I suggested to him to start doing Top 5s and he's done several. They work for the algorithm too and people like them because they feel like bite size pieces. Don't do all top 5 and 10s, but perhaps consider sprinkling the odd one here and there.
I appreciate the honest feedback and the advice. I’ve mulled around the top five weirdest conversions in history and what I’d put on it. One of my favorites would be HMS Furious and her odd conversions.

Although I prefer longer vids that do a more complete job of explaining a subject a concise short either as a teaser for a long vid or just about one small fact will engage me enough to watch it. I am off now to sign up for the shorts channel. Well, he adds, that did not go well. The link you posted says the channel doesn’t exist. You might want to look into that.
Yeah, nah, I don't do shorts. It's a pity you're getting railed by the algorithm. I hope this change works out. Looking forward to your longer videos though.
Every channel wants new subs and believe that doing shorts is the answer. Not many question why they have the subs that they already do have. I subscribe to channels that produce good content, that is accurate, well produced and for me at least, with a real human voice (so sick of AI mispronunciation) I always add a like and a comment as I understand that also helps the channel. I am not leaving comments on a 2 minute video, that is if I would bother watching it at all. I don't think history topics suit such short formats personally, so I am pleased that you are taking the steps to separate the shorts to another channel. I will understand if a short pops up on this channel every now and then given the situation, but I would soon unsubscribe if it became the new standard.
