Without knowing about John's father or the first Terminator, or Sarah's origin in the story from the first film, this reaction made very little sense...
There is one thing you miss by not watching T1 first. You would immediately think Arnold is the bad guy because of the the first movie and it throws you that he isn't the first time you watch this. The hand and the chip aren't prototypes - they were pilfered from the scene of the first terminator when it was "destroyed" and were being used for research. The problem with observing the sky today is ironically our technology, most places on the planet you can barely make out 3 stars in the sky because of light pollution when even 50 years ago you could see 100's of thousands of them by just looking up with no technology needed unless you had eye problems.
Not sure why your rant switched from T2 to stargazing but I felt a correction is needed. With the naked eye, only about 3,000 stars are visible from any point in the world and it doesn’t matter how far back in time you go. After all, the h human eye is only so powerful.
@@Darkstar72SR It was 7 months ago but I am assuming they talked about stars - go to New York tilt your head up and tell me how many stars you see, if you say more than 10 you are lying - light pollution is very much a thing that has only gotten worse with technology, maybe 100's of thousands was an overstatement but you aren't seeing 3,000 stars any where near any major city on the planet but get yourself in the middle of nowhere and you will see those 3,000 stars just with your own eyes. It is an interesting contrast - if you have only ever been in the city and were born 30 years ago you shrug your shoulders and say so what, if you have never been in a city you can't believe the city person doesn't think much of it - but 50 years ago even city people could admire the stars in all their glory due to less light pollution.
Not watching the first one you lose the switch up moment, it's the best part of the movie realizing Arnie is on our side. You also wouldn't have all the speculation that led to them talking over the best joke in the movie.
Ai will never think for itself it can only use information programmed in to it So yes if a three letter agency is programming it it's will only think evil thoughts but it will never be alive like humans
Before Robert Patrick played the villainous T-1000, Rock star Billy Idol (Dancing With Myself, Mony Mony, Cradle Of Love, and LA Woman) was considered but got into a motorcycle accident, injuring his leg. Robert Patrick studied wolves and eagles to give his character a more sinister look as if though he was tracking his prey. James Cameron was high on Ecstasy while writing the script. He revealed this while promoting AVATAR THE WAY OF WATER. Originally, the opening scene where the Terminator and T-1000 arrive naked from the future was almost cut as the producers thought it was a remake, but when they learned that the Terminator didn't kill anyone in the bar, they realized he's a good guy, while the T-1000 was the bad guy. The film won 4/6 Oscars: Best Visual Effects Best Sound Editing Best Sound Mixing Best Makeup. It was nominated for Best Cinematography and Best Film Editing, but lost to JFK. It's one of the best Sci-fi Action movies ever made.
There are plenty of moments during this reaction where I wondered if they were actually watching THIS movie, let alone having skipped the first one. "a bullet that exploded" What, like a grenade? From the grenade launcher he's been using since the lab?
I’m a monumental fan of Terminator. T2 is my favorite movie of all time and it’s something that will stick with me till the end. I really wish you had seen T1 before watching T2, because they both go together like two peas in a pod. You can’t separate them. But I still enjoyed both your reactions.
No, that wasn’t a prototype. It was the arm and chip from the first terminator that came after Sarah in the first movie. They mentioned this multiple times during this movie. Don’t know how you missed it. 🤦🏽♀️
Actually, the arm in the lab wasn't the first prototype. It was what they found from the first terminator in Terminator 1. When she killed that terminator, its arm was reaching out to kill her and she used the machine to crush the terminator, but his arm was sticking out of the machine and was not damaged. They took that existing arm (and the CPU from the terminator's head) and that was what they were holding in the lab. They were using the technology of the future to make advancements. Essentially, they were trying to reverse engineer the existing components that were created by advanced AI from the future.
10:26 As for the timeline. The T-800 (Arnie) went back in time to May 12, 1984 and tried to kill Sarah Connor. He failed. NOW in 1995 The T-800 (Arnie) has come back in time to PROTECT Sarah's son, John Connor and the T-1000 (Robert Patrick) is now the terminator trying to kill John. The War (Judgment Day) happens on August 29, 1997. On the video that Sarah watched with her doctor, she said "It happens, I know it happens". By the sound of what you are saying here, you seem to think she said "It happened."
Respectfully No ur wrong and thats why u should have watched T1 first. The metal arm was from the first movie's Terminator that got destroyed. LOVE UR REACTIONS
You guys really needed to see T1 first. You were getting confused in a lot of plot points that could easily be explained just by watching the first terminator.
My guess is Future John Connor programmed the T-800 with knowledge he had previously obtained when he was a kid so he would know who Miles Dyson was. Remember he already survived through these events so now he had the knowledge as an adult. Loved rewatching this classic with you two awesome ladies💪🏾❤️
You know the comment here that said seeing T2 first was a really intelligent move because it made the reaction so much better...? Oh, wait - no one said that. This reaction should be titled: T2 (first), Bad Judgment Day
The makeup and special effects artist or whatever was Stan Winston and he passed away like in 2008 or 2009 cuz at the end of Terminator Salvation there's s the end credits start rolling it says that it was dedicated to him or something like that
Yes should have started from the first terminator. Terminator had already told her who and where to find Miles Bennett Dyson. The arm and chip was found in a factory that was blown up by her and Kyle Reese in the first terminator.
I suggest for your future movie reviews and to save a lot of time, just watch the last half of the movie only. That would be as entertaining and just as logical as watching any sequel before the original.
Not watching T1 before T2. That's like..I mean, you've just lost yourself so much context and backstory. Is there no law against this kind of movie abuse.
Yes, as others have commented, you MUST watch The Terminator first BEFORE you watch T2. You need all the context and the background in order to recognise major parts of the combined storyline.
I really don't see the point of skipping T1 before seeing T2 on a reaction channel. The reaction to T2 is so much better if you've seen T1 before. Sorry guys but this was a mistake.
T2 isn't the kind of movie you can fully appreciate without having seen the original film. _Especially_ as it relates to Sarah Conner's character, her evolution, and her relationship with the Terminator. Another commenter mentioned Sarah's Conner's reaction seeing Arnold's character at the hospital. The look of fear on her face will not fully register unless you know the back story.
Miles Dyson did not build that arm in the vault. It was the arm from the terminator in the first movie. Which eventually would lead to his ability to create new tech resulting in the end of the world.
I will never forget watching the teaser trailer for this movie in the theater when I was a kid. My mind was blown for like a month, the hype was real and warranted
i never thought of that until Kristen said about empathy and forgiving. i can so relate which means i have to distance myself from who i forgive for wrong doing me. wow thank you
The concept of Ai have been in popular media since about 1930s. A fairly early movie to explore this is the 1956 movie "forbidden planet". Terminator was actually sort of behind the times with the "evil" AI. What cames after was the victim AI explored in the 1982 movie Blade runner.
So I understand, one of the girls has already seen this movie, and the other one hasn’t even seen terminator one? This is crazy time… every important reveal is set up by the first movie.
This movie defined sooo much of my childhood! Id re-enact Arnie walking away with the sunglasses every time it was on screen as a kid. Arnie was my hero as a kid and still one of my favorite actors because of this iconic movie. My favorite action movie without question! Definitely stands above all others. I also love the original, more of a horror concept but still incredible. Love a reaction to that as well.
Two pieces of trivia that make this action masterpiece even better: At 09:32 none of the camera crew wanted to film the scene, because they were too afraid of the falling debris. So James Cameron grabed the camera and did it himself. At 31:31 they really flew a helicopter under bridges, through a tunnel and into the rear end of a truck. No CGI, no wires, no models. Just keep that in mind, should you watch Terminator: Genisys. And now, you won't ever need to watch another action movie for the rest of your lives, because you just watched the greatest there is, there was and there ever will be.
Kristen should have started with the first one. There's so much character development between the two movies that happens for Sarah Conner and The Terminator.

@@popculturewatch8689 ya i remember renting this from Blockbuster and already knew Arnie was a good guy back when this came out...i did wonder why they played the bad guy theme in the beginning, and later realized that it was supposed to be ambiguous for narrative purposes... wish i didnt know though when i first watched and wondered how i would react if i didnt know.
@@popculturewatch8689marketing did spoil it, which is why its fun to watch people react to it today, without spoilers, and enjoy the twist as the director intended it to be experienced. Its lost if you have not watched T1 beforehand.
@@popculturewatch8689 It would have been a secret to them.
@popculturewatch8689 You're right. When I watched this movie in theaters when it came out, I think everyone knee that Arnold was the good guy. But, I have watched several reactions to this move, and most reactors are pretty surprised that T-800 is the good guy.
Should've watched the first one.
What you gonna do next, watch empire strikes back without watching a new hope? Two towers without watching Fellowship? Don't see the point in skipping the first movie, horrible idea which hopefully wont be repeated with other franchises
I'll never understand watching a sequel first.
Watching T2 first isnt the way it should be done. Arnie being the good guy is a big high after you have seen him being the bad guy in T1 !
Yeah and I think Kristen would have been the perfect candidate having no real knowledge of much of anything to do with the Terminator universe.
I would love to see Kristen’s reaction to The Terminator. It’s an all time classic.
Why?!
She doesn't have to watch it now, because they spoiled everything! 🤷🏻♂️
She should have watch it first, they both should have. Seeing it once a long time ago doesn't mean she remembers anything.
19:40 Ambre says "It's normally the woman who is crazy"
Apparently she already forgot that it was the guy Reese in The Terminator that was considered crazy by Sarah herself , despite him saving her life only minutes earlier 😒
They didn't watch T1
@@bhargavipba Amber has, yes. It’s stated at the beginning of the reaction. But it’s pretty obvious by ten minutes in that she’s in desperate need of a rewatch.
It wouldn’t matter what gender you are. If you did the “crazy” sh*t Sarah has done and spouted (anyone remember that little video the hospital staff watched of Sarah?) including behaving irrationally and blowing up a computer factory, you’d be locked up too.
When the security guard stepped on him in the hallway that was enough to sample his appearance
17:47 obviously it's already done and over with but it's kind of sad that you didn't get to experience them in order because not only does it explain a lot of the stuff you're confused about, you also get to see how much Sarah changes. From being a timid waitress to being literally one of the greatest female action stars of all time. When people talk about female action characters it's pretty much always Sarah Connor and Ellen Ripley. She may have only been in one Terminator movie at the time as her badass self but with just that one movie she became an icon
Facts!!
Kristen def watch The Terminator. It is a much more gritty movie and can be even seen as horror. I like it better just because that's where the concept originated. The 2nd one definitely stepped up as far as production value. Saw it in the theater and was blown away.
The decision to check out the sequel before the original film is a stupidity on a whole another level
I love T2 & never seen T1.
The arm and the chip were left over from the first terminator in the first movie that tried to kill Sarah. Miles was inspired by what was found and was inadvertently recreating the terminator while his company covered up the crime scene and made Sarah look crazy by denying its existence.
Yes, and if they would’ve watched the first one, they would have understood that but again they didn’t so it kind of ruins everything
@@rbsteve9191 I did say to my wife before the reaction started, I can’t believe anyone would ever watch this movie without watching the first. Also, their questions during the movie made me cringe because they would know the answers if they didn’t choose to skip the first film, so it made the reaction video annoying.
Why are you explaining this to these dumb people?! 🤷🏻♂️
Why did you show her T2 before showing her T1?
congratulations to whoever had the idea of making a reaction to perhaps the best action film of all time without watching the first part. This reaction was horrible.
I agree. Those making suggestions( paying $) only choose the most popular.
Speaking of which
The Villian T-1000 ( Robert Patrick)
the following year starred in
"Fire in The Sky" ( 93) based on the tue accounts of Travis Walton..
Hoghly suggested. The most bievabke film on an Alien encounter. Its a brilliant film.
Why not a film about a true account than fictional characters ?
thanks i wont be watching this then. saved me 48 mins
@mc100
Build a magnificent, towering, architectural wonder of a home - build it breathtakingly high into the sky. But don't worry about the foundation; it's really not important...
Yeah pretty idiotic and lazy to just skip the first one.
Especially when it’s so obvious that the girl on the right, who has seen T1 before, is in desperate need of a rewatch.
16:09 Fun Fact: Linda Hamilton studied for months on how to pick locks. She is REALLY picking these locks.
I’m only at the start but I’m fuming Kristen is watching T2 before T1 😅
Let’s go find someone that hasn’t seen Star Wars and show them Return of the Jedi!?
Exactly. Lets just skip all character development
Is like watching The Godfather II before The Godfather 😑
I agree. Those making suggestions only choose the most popular( copy other reactions).

It's really a shame that Kristen comes into this not having seen the first film. #IYKYK
Both girls just talking to each other and missing such iconic action scenes
Agree. Pause the movie to talk, then start it again!
its not the worst i've seen. They were still invested.
True... some people just don't know how to see a movie... :(
I really wish Kristen had started with the first film, as intended. :(
I wish she wouldn't does off during her reactions dang lol
Guess im just confused as to why you didn't watch the first movie before the second.
I was searching for part I and couldn't find it only to find out Kristen's watching II 1st. People that saw II 1st will never understand or experience the full impact of both films sadly and now Kristen is forever 1 of those people. 😔
Let‘s get nuts and watch Empire Strikes Back before A New Hope.
Or Back To The Future Part II before Back To The Future
Without the success of the first Terminator, there wouldn't be a second one!
it was pretty dumb to not watch T1 first but to then not fill her in on things she asked about that are explained in T1 was even dumber
Well, there’s a reasonable answer for that: the other girl can’t remember much of the first T1. She even says herself that she needs to rewatch it.
Based on the psychological profile of herself that Kristen gave us, I think she should definitely watch the first one, even more so than this one.
damn this is like watching the endgame before any other
WHY THE HELL START WITH T2? it's like starting with Return of the king?
Hopefully they don't do that as well lol, yeah it's dumb.
There are two sets of twins in this film..The security guards and Linda Hamilton and her sister.
Without knowing about John's father or the first Terminator, or Sarah's origin in the story from the first film, this reaction made very little sense...
Yeah. Watching T2 before The Terminator is kind of a disservice to Kyle
💯
Watching this reaction shows why its so important not to watch the sequel first. Ideally not to long ago that you've forgotten it
Not watching the first one you lose the switch up moment, it's the best part of the movie realizing Arnie is on our side. You also wouldn't have all the speculation that led to them talking over the best joke in the movie.
You cannot watch T2 without first seeing part 1. It is a continuation and must be viewed in order to understand and appreciate how good this movie is.
Not watching T1 and jumping straight to T2 is a bad choice
NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. BAD DECISION. You need to see part 1.
Should have watched the first one first.
James Cameron has been warning us about the dangers of AI for almost 40 years with these Terminator movies, and more people need to heed his warnings.
Ai will never think for itself it can only use information programmed in to it
So yes if a three letter agency is programming it it's will only think evil thoughts but it will never be alive like humans
The film won 4/6 Oscars:
Best Visual Effects
Best Sound Editing
Best Sound Mixing
Best Makeup.
You done messed up, A A Ron!!!
I’m a monumental fan of Terminator. T2 is my favorite movie of all time and it’s something that will stick with me till the end.
I really wish you had seen T1 before watching T2, because they both go together like two peas in a pod. You can’t separate them. But I still enjoyed both your reactions.
Don't ever repeat this experiment again. This is like watching THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK without seeing STAR WARS.
No, that wasn’t a prototype. It was the arm and chip from the first terminator that came after Sarah in the first movie.
They mentioned this multiple times during this movie. Don’t know how you missed it. 🤦🏽♀️
Kristen should watch the first Terminator movie!
It is beyond unintelligent, shall we say, for a reactor to watch Terminator 2 without having watched Terminator. Horrible decision.
Haha they obviously didn’t predict the Internet in 1991 and how it would be everywhere just four years later
Why are you explaining this?!
They obviously didn't want to see it, so leave this ignorant people ignorant!
Respectfully No ur wrong and thats why u should have watched T1 first. The metal arm was from the first movie's Terminator that got destroyed. LOVE UR REACTIONS
9:55 How to say they didn't give you folic acid without saying it AJAJAJJAJ
The kid (Danny Cooksey) is Bobby Budnick from Salute Your Shorts
What a waste of a Reaction, a good movie, an even better sequel and my time
Actually that chip & that terminator hand is from the first movie. That scientist explains at 26:19
You guys really needed to see T1 first.
Why would you think it would ever be a good idea to watch the second movie first?
You know the comment here that said seeing T2 first was a really intelligent move because it made the reaction so much better...?
Oh, wait - no one said that.
This reaction should be titled:
T2 (first), Bad Judgment Day
😂☠️
The makeup and special effects artist or whatever was Stan Winston and he passed away like in 2008 or 2009 cuz at the end of Terminator Salvation there's s the end credits start rolling it says that it was dedicated to him or something like that
Yes should have started from the first terminator. Terminator had already told her who and where to find Miles Bennett Dyson. The arm and chip was found in a factory that was blown up by her and Kyle Reese in the first terminator.
One of the best movies ever made. Classic.
I suggest for your future movie reviews and to save a lot of time, just watch the last half of the movie only. That would be as entertaining and just as logical as watching any sequel before the original.
Watching T2 before T1, is like inhaling a cigarette before lighting it up 😅
Not watching T1 before T2.
_Especially_ as it relates to Sarah Conner's character, her evolution, and her relationship with
the Terminator.
They would have known that if they watched the 1st one first....
@@havok6280 Yep, some people love starting a book at chapter 14. Blows my F-ing mind.
Lunatic decision to watch the sequel first, what a waste of time.
How did we go from killer robots to aliens lmao
I will never forget watching the teaser trailer for this movie in the theater when I was a kid. My mind was blown for like a month, the hype was real and warranted
They made this chick watch T2 before T1 so the whole Arnie being a good guy twist got completely wasted.
i never thought of that until Kristen said about empathy and forgiving. i can so relate which means i have to distance myself from who i forgive for wrong doing me. wow thank you
Oh boy , didn't watch The Terminator before the sequel 😢
T 1 watching and then T 2 because of the BIG "AHA" Moment in the first 15 Minutes both Movies
I would love to Kristen react to the first one. It has more of a horror feeling.
Hands down the greatest action film ever made. Watched it almost 100 times since my childhood.
Kristen would have appreciated T2 more if she would have seen the first movie
"Give me more time with that kid."
Kristen, Kristen, Kristen. I'm questioning whether the internet is for you. 😂
Two pieces of trivia that make this action masterpiece even better:
At 09:32 none of the camera crew wanted to film the scene, because they were too afraid of the falling debris.
